Re: Butter Bot!: New Bitstamp, BTC-E, and MtGox EMA Trading Platform

I just noticed that. I went to settings in anticipation of an answer, and just noticed I couldn't find a fee field.

Thanks nevertheless.

Let me know if you need anything else Smiley.

Pablo.

Hi Pablo,
As you can see in the thread, I have recently installed the bot and it made a trade at BTC-E on the day I installed it buying BTC @ 309. BTC is currently 344. The buy threshold 2 is 0.15 and sell threshold 2 @ 0.1 both buy and sell threshold 1's are 0. The difference in EMA (20/42) is now 2.079% according to the table on the bot in chrome so shouldn't the bot have sold my bitcoin balance already? Its probably a completely naive newbie question but just trying to get to know the in's and out's of the bot and I was under the assumption the 2.079% is more of a margin than required to sell?Essentially I just want to know if A) if my bot is operating correctly having not sold yet and B) should I change the threshold settings for a more optimal return?

Any help from anyone here would be much appreciated.
Cheers.

The bot is reading an uptrend in the market (green).  It will keep you in the market as long as this continues.  It will sell when it identifies a downtrend and passes your gate settings (red).

As always Sean you've been very helpful, Cheers again!

Thanks for the help Pablo,
Now onto my next 'problem',
I think I have set-up everything correctly but still no check mark and a warning saying,

"The BTC-e API is currently having issues but we will keep trying. Butter Bot will recover automatically once the API is back up."

Its been happening since last night so is this a problem with the BTC-E site or is it something I setup wrong?

Mine are reading BTC-e fine @ the moment, so looks like it is a local problem on your end.

I remember someone saying something about confirming the email btc-e send you to activate the API key etc but I have never received one of those emails, I just cannot understand why it says API connected but BTC-E disconnected when I hover over the triangle where the check mark should be on the butter bot interface. Any help to get this up and running would be greatly appreciated.

Hey Guys,
Just installed and setup my bot, added the API keys etc, and have hit a bit of a roadblock. I can see the icon in chrome and the numbers on the bottom are fluctuating so it is "live" but when I click the icon I have a warning triangle. It says that the API is connected but none of the trading platforms are. I have only set it up with BTC-E so far but beside btc-e it says disconnected. Am I doing something wrong or is it simply because the bot has not attempted a trade yet?

Also, if you dont mind, does anyone want to post some decent settings for the bot engine on btc-e? I have been messing around with them but would be curious to know what other people use.

Thanks a million in advance!

I was curious about this too, Most rigs seem to have about 8gb but a very small hard drive, just enough room for an OS and the official bitcoin/lightcoin wallets.
