Fully depends on your strategy, your time-frame and the amount of time you are willing to spend.

What I'm planning to do is to sell(I never sell all of it, just the portion I'm actively trading) if this level doesn't hold, and having around 5 buying orders spread between 8.5k to 6k in order to get back in at a cheaper price. It might not hit the lowest priced orders, but I'm okay with that.

So you tell us that BTC can go up but it can also go down?  Shocked

I thought someone would ask this,
Right now, I don't know which way it would go, so I wouldn't do a trade. What I'm trying to say is, if the price goes below 9k, it will likely continue down to 6.5k, so you should sell when that happens. If it goes above the downwards trendline(at around 11k), it means there is an upwards breakout and would be a good opportunity to buy, as the price will probably continue up. It's too early to know what is going to happen yet.

"Price is currently testing support. If it doesn't hold, we could experience a quick panic drop like the previous ones(in red). If it does end up holding, and we break the downwards trend-line, we will probably experience another strong bull run."

Re: POS and Masternodes ?

Here are some websites that list masternodes and their ROIs:

https://masternodes.pro/
http://mnrank.com/
https://masternodes.online/

Most of the highest roi coins will just be basic coins that don't have proper volume & attention. You should look trough the list, and invest in some where you are comfortable with the volume, m. cap, number of master nodes, master node cost, the price history, how active the project is(development & marketing), and anything else you can think of. You will probably be eliminating many of the very high roi coins, but you will be left with coins that will still return a good roi, and will not drop in price/will increase.

Re: How important are ICO advisors?

If you are searching for flipping ICOs, you should probably consider big name crytpo advisors as they will create hype and will be a good way for marketing. But if you want to hold the projects, instead of looking at advisors that are well-known in the crypto space, you should look at industry experts outside of crypto as you said.

Re: What would happen if another cryptocurrency took Bitcoins place in Market Cap?
by

on 22/02/2018, 21:20:07 UTC
If another currency took over btc in m.cap right now, it would be big news and a surprise to allot of people, and it would be a big news to write about for many news agencies. This way, it would probably get allot of attention and pump even more by people that hadn't bought before, but bought when they saw the news report it. But if this was to happen in a recent time(1 year), I think it would drop and btc will keep its spot.

Re: Is Bitcoin the best Long-term Hold?
by
BatuhanU
on 22/02/2018, 21:03:16 UTC
I think that for the following years, bitcoin will still be leading the market. The main advantage it currently has is that it was the first, the brand-recognition(People think of bitcoin when you say crypto-currencies), and that its the coin you use in order to enter the market of other coins.

Currently, some alt-coins definitely provide a advantage over using bitcoin(transaction time & fees), but if these do get improved with bitcoin, it will probably be leading for a long time.

If you believe that cryptos will be successful in the long term, you should probably try to invest in the top 5 coins, according to m.cap, adjusting every week or month, so that even if bitcoin is replaced by other projects, you will still end up gaining if cryptos are successful.

Just searched it up on google. You can buy it from here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=credit;promote
(You will probably get faster results if you just search for it yourself, I just searched for "copper membership bitcointalk")

The total market cap(https://coinmarketcap.com/charts/) is higher than it was at the start of the year(just 15 days ago), so imo it's fully normal and okay for something like this to happen

Re: Crypto Trading vs Stock Trading
by

Crypto markets are much more volatile, but this can be a good thing if you know how to trade well. It's also much more speculative(right now) compared to well-known stocks. 24/7 trading is also a great advantage to crypto. Because it's still new and the big players haven't entered the market much, there is profit to be made from arbitrage between exchanges & market making large spreads. Also, we're on a strong bull run rn for the whole crypto market so it's not hard to make good profit.

Re: Will Dogecoin have a future?
by
BatuhanU
on 15/01/2018, 18:24:16 UTC
Dogecoin goes through quick speculative bursts in price followed by a long period of down-trending. I published a tradingview idea on it: https://www.tradingview.com/chart/DOGEBTC/CPnvuOd9-Doge-BTC/

As for development, excluding the small commit made 7 days ago, the last commit was on Oct 20, 2015. https://github.com/dogecoin/dogecoin/commits/master

The creator has said:
Quote
"New features aren't being implemented into dogecoin because there's no active development anymore. Eventually, it will become outdated. And with that, the network will organically wind down."
https://www.coindesk.com/dogecoin-is-the-joke-that-wouldnt-die-finally-dying/
So for the long term, I wouldn't buy it but it can be a good coin to trade for short-term profits.

Microsoft was 0.1$(adjusted for stock splits) in 1986. Now it's $89.6. Is this a scam to make people rich who bought it for 0.1$
Sure, it's not the same thing comparing crypto to stocks, but you should get the idea

Re: Does this investing strategy make sense?
by
BatuhanU
on 14/01/2018, 17:49:20 UTC
If you are able to locate the prices near the top, then yes it would make sense as you would be selling it higher than what you bought it for. The problem would be that you could be selling too late after the correction has already ended(at a low price) or missing a strong bull run. Also this will work if you trust that usdt will always equal to 1$, which might not be the case: https://www.reddit.com/r/btc/comments/6xpddt/as_20m_more_tether_are_issued_today_i_think_its/
