First of all, when the development team is so "professional" that they rely so much on single person, without which they abandon it, how can they even want to develop something else? Do they have new leader to rely on or what? That itself is SO much trustworthy that another shitcoin will be dead before it started.

Next, if they play like a developers or whatever, the largest community is here. Why there is no word here? Not on the official pools? Not on the official website? Who ARE those guys?! Or do they not have access to the site administration or what? What do they develop than? What poll to they talk about, where did I vote for a new shitcoin? I do not remember. What's that all about, some chat at some shitsite? A pool operator randomly sees and has to relay instead of THEM wannabe developers coming forward? I trust no word they send, if that's even truth some THEM want to switch over. There is already over 1200 altcoins, after what they are pulling, who will care about another one? Who will TRUST them? EDL has both nice technology background AND also a good name.

Last but not least, if they premine 10k and there are already tens of MILLIONS EDL, how much am I going to get with close to half a mil, a 50 shitcoins? Which I'll mine in 10 minutes if I switch over? That's a good one! Maybe they should rather pick a career of stand-up actors.

No way. Besides some time, I did not really lost anything (one could only argue I could have mined 0.25 XMR or something like that, that's 50 bucks, I'll live with that). I won't loose anything by holding to it. Wish all the very best to the lead guy, hope he'll recover soon and come back, throwing those morons out and getting some ppl to the team who are both capable AND trustworthy.

Well, having some random guy coming and making big statements is the same speculation as from everybody else. Without proof it's pointless to believe him over any of the others. There are dozens of reasons such speculation could be profitable for him.

I guess the recent spike in hashing power are the ASICs dropped from monero after it forked, so…when is the fork happening for EDL?

Yeah lol with the drop in network hashrate thus difficulty I jumped to about 20k a day That's with couple cards and CPUs, one server, about 4 kH/s total.

You should be able to to get a block at least once a day (on average) with couple hundred hashes (any decent graphics card) yourself, but I think the 1 % or so on fees is worth the luxuy of not having to constantly watch everything, keep up with protocol/blockchain updates etc.

Does not seem like there's much popularity in the last week, so how does things fare with the hard-fork? Maybe ppl are kinda unsure about the near future. Those selling for 0.000000000nothing also do not help much

Some of the community pools are dead, one of the remaining ones has no miners at all, maybe consider removing the links from the official website? With this trend I'll also end as sole miner on Official Pool #2 next week

Yeah lol. Mining at about 0.3 % of the network hashrate (5-10 % of the pool), I mine aprox. that in two hours. But still, it's free

Not even sure how to manage to run the daemon through the GUI app with parameters, I started the daemon manually with this switch through command line. Once it is running, the GUI wallet connects to the daemon through localhost address and reads if there are some changes regarding your wallet.

I am thinking, since so far the daemons are syncing to some remote node rather than the whole network, could the wallet also connect to remote node directly, as monero wallets do? It may not be so interesting now, but as the blockchain will rise in size, it will be pain to sync it and keep stored locally.

OK got that solved. The daemon is running it's own local network of height 1, after adding the exclusive node with recommended address for syncing it works and started syncing the actual network. Should be "rich" in couple hours

Not sure if I am doing anything wrong, but I've switched two of my miners from XMR to EDL. So I got the CLI wallet, generated a wallet and used the main public address for the pool.edollar.cash. It seems to mine OK, according to the pool I already mined couple thousand EDL, I can see the outgoing transactions. But the wallet still shows no transactions and 0 on it. Deamon is running and says it is synced. So where's the problem? Do I have to use a sub-address or something?

Yes, on most exchanges, if they ask more, they get as much as you give them for the price and wait till somebody else will sell them the rest. Same if they are selling.

From what I found, starting with 7, windblows should have support for NUMA, as well as xmr-stak itself. As it pins memory via hwloc, I presume it does that with NUMA in mind. With xmrig I reach pretty much the same hashrate but that's obvious as these two miners are usually on par as they implemented same function over time. As the HT has been turned on while turbo set to highest, I still have better hashrate than what I found for these CPUs (in a single occasion I actually found actual data for these particular CPUs), about a third, so I think it does work.
