Powh3 came back from a crash down to 2 ether, now sitting at 18 (previous ATH is 140~). These cycles are very interesting. Again, i'm not promoting the sites, i just wanna discuss them as they are a part of our crypto landscape right now.

Most of the time Pyramid Scheme is not really worth investing in, And in a blockchain technology it will just turn out to be a ponzi scheme because a pyramid scheme always refer to pyramid scam and a business model that recruits member and promising them that they can get an income when they reach a certain level which is true, but as the number of participants multiplies and had congested the system it is nearly impossible for newly member to recruit some more and that is why some member is unable to profit because of it, And this kind of Scheme is unsustainable and illegal

This is just an experiment where people can have some fun on the blockchain. There are no referrals and "levels", everyone is the same and playing on a even field.

The creators sure have a lot sense of humour lol. I literally can't stop laughing while reading their website xd. But is this a real deal though? seem too good to be true for me. Not gonna lie, it looks like a great project if it is legit. Would love to know the people behind this coin, they should be hired into comedy entertaiment show lol. But wait.... it is just a joke right?

Its kind of a joke/meme coin like Doge. But the smart contract is legit and it's up there for anyone to check (powh1 and 3 have the same contract). There is no function for the dev to claim any funds, and the coin price is calculated on every buy/sell that happens.

Proof of weak hands coin
by

Some /biz/ developers created a more legitimate approach to the previous two Ponzicoins that happened in the last two days:

https://powhcoin.com / https://powhcoin3.com (right now powh3 has just dumped and is super cheap to get in, powh1 is pumping hard)

This token actually CANNOT crash, as the price drops when people sell - so the smart contract can't deplete.

Everytime someone buys, current token holders get paid 10% dividends paid in ETH to your adress, so you eventually will have your investment back without even having to sell your tokens.

Thing is taking off since 30 minutes on 4chan, FOMO.

Edit: Here is the contract adress if you want to verify that the contract is trustworthy:

powh1: https://etherscan.io/address/0xa7ca36f7273d4d38fc2aec5a454c497f86728a7a

Re: What would happen if bitcoin miners stop?
by
Beicin
on 12/12/2017, 23:45:53 UTC
Why would the miners ever stop? I suggest you taking a look at game theory to understand a little bit better how things work in any economic setting.

Now, if a big part of the miners move to another coin, then it means the block time is going to be super slow until the next difficulty adjustment, which would mean an insane amount of unconfirmed transactions.

Re: Litecoin to be over $5000 in 2018?
by
Beicin
on 12/12/2017, 23:43:47 UTC
5000 for litecoin is way too optimistic i think. In my opinion it'll stay in the 1k range in 2018 at most. There are plenty of other currency coins out there competing with it, so the investors might get a little diluted.

Re: NEO or NEM?
by

If i had to pick between one of those i'd go with NEO. Its a smart contract coin and you dont have any of that in your portfolio already, so in a way it brings a little diversity to your crypto investments.

The safest way of doing this (and the way the majority of people do) is through Coinbase. Signing up on their site and investing is very easy, but remember that they take a long time to process payments, up to 7 days i think.

by

Cryptokitties showed a huge potential for the ethereum blockchain, and even managed to draw new people into cryptocurrencies. I would say it was a very successful experiment and the next dapps will be even better because of it.

I think bounties are a good way of advertising in our current crypto market. I've stumbled upon projects that i would never have otherwise because of some bounties in the past, and i'm sure many people can relate to this.

I'm against forking just to fix this whole frozen funds issue. But if they do it as a side objetive on a bigger hard fork like Constantinople (i think thats what the next one on the roadmap is called), then i'd be inclined to accept it. I hope people stop giving parity the benefit of the doubt, its the 2nd time they screwed up already.

Re: Why we shouldn't look at $ value but satoshis?
by
Beicin
on 11/12/2017, 23:46:30 UTC
Looking at satoshis is an easy way to measure if your crypto investments are doing better than just holding bitcoin, which is much simpler and safer. So for having the trouble of going to an exchange, trading your btc for something else... You'd atleast expect it to outperform btc, thats why almost everyone values their alts in sats.

2018 is going to be a great year for cryptocurrencies. If you can, investing now would be a really good decision, in my opinion. Maybe wait for a local dip before you get in, or keep buying in smaller amounts to dollar cost average (google it if you're not familiar with the concept).

Re: Can Altcoins match up to Bitcoins
by
Beicin
on 11/12/2017, 04:47:46 UTC
I think Bitcoin will remain as the strongest crypto for a long time, like atleast 5+ years. If it remains seen by the majority as a store of value, then it might lose ground to more advanced blockchains after that time, but even then i think it'll be hard for any 'flippening' to happen.

2018 is going to be the year of Ark! I invested in it during the last dip (the dip has been lasting a couple months tbh) and i think they will release a bunch of killer products next year. Accumulating before the coin takes off is the best thing you can do right now, because when it starts its run many people will FOMO in very quickly.

Its not too late buddy! Just invest the amount you can afford to lose and remember to constantly save and invest whenever you get your paychecks (weekly or monthly). Dont dwell on the past and on your lost bitcoins, just focus on the future and in increasing your stack right now,

Re: Bitcoin is garbage.

Bitcoin is suffering growing pains right now. We need to give it some time in order for the scaling solutions to me researched, coded and implemented into the ecosystem. Once they are properly rolled out, we'll be back to cheaper and fast transactions like we grew accostumed to in the past.

Re: Why is ethereum so slow?
by

on 09/12/2017, 09:49:39 UTC
While the network is clogged, try increasing your gas limits and gas price for your transactions to go through faster. We just have to sit and wait while the devs (both from ethereum and bitcoin) come up with good scaling solutions for blockchains. Its definitely our biggest challenge right now.

Re: if you have to depend your future on one coin which would it be?
by
Beicin
on 09/12/2017, 09:48:19 UTC
If i ever had to sell everything and put it in a coin (except for Bitcoin), i guess i would have to pick Ethereum. Compared to all other altcoins its the one with the biggest signs of progress in development and scaling solutions for blockchains. The coin also has a big community backing up the project which is also a big plus when investing.
