is the merging option being seriously considered by BOTH communities?
If someone has articles or other links to back up their opinion, that would be ideal (but not required, of course)

Dogecoin needs to close its open coin cap to even think to survive. 80 Billion coins is insane. even the miners are giving up on it. Too bad too because it has a great active community.

Totally agree with you dude.
I wonder how split the doge community might be on this issue.

Doge hype is over and won't come back.

I see what you are saying, but it does continue to have a strong community behind Doge.
Also, from what i've read, they have some parties already figuring out ways to put them in the right communities to make it valuable for people.

ie. Tipping app (FB), live mmo game that lets you mine.

there may be more now.. so.. who knows...

it'll never be as high as bitcoin, but it definitely has the potential to be one of the few crypto-currencies left standing after many randos start washing out...

I've been studying every damn article about bitcoin for the past 9 months and focusing on a macroeconomic level, $6000-$10000 is definitely realistic by the end of this year. If nothing else, just think about the ridiculous amount of infrastructure that currently being built for it AROUND THE GLOBE... its happening whether anyone likes it or not. (unless something completely drastic happens which no one can predict including me...)

With that said, I'm in the process of putting together a project to help facilitate mass adoption of Bitcoin. Let's hope I have something to show the community soon.

Yep the infrastructure and usability is a big factor in Bitcoin
Then you have the Buffet's who say that those two are not connected but that's an older generation of thinking in the digital world technology has proven to be revolutionary in every industry, perhaps the value at times varies but it is nice to believe in the potential utility of a whole new payment system.

Don't forget Buffet was right about dotcom. Whether he is right on bitcoin is yet to be seen.

He might have been right about dotcom, but he wasn't right about the internet. dotcom bubble burst, correct. But, the internet never stopped after that. Actually it progressed further and further and turned into the beast it is today.

Hey guys,

I've been trying to keep it in, but I saw this thread and couldn't hold it. So I have to at least mention, I have recently thought of a way and started implementing it that will make it easy and appealing for mass adoption of bitcoin. I've been a fanatic since last november and I feel like I know soo much about bitcoin, yet I'm learning more and more each day. But yea, I'll cut my rant short, but just wanted to let you guys know I'm working on something that might bring bitcoin in the limelight and at those times I will need all the evagalists to come support the cause (if they choose to see it how I see it - that mass adoption and acceptance of bitcoin is the only way we can run towards a world where bitcoin is accepted everywhere).

Thanks

So you think we could converge or...?

I definitely think that I want to find out more about this open bazaar concept you were talking about. Also about your degree itself and what your plans on to do with it.
The open bazaar concept might be inline with one of the later stages on the concept at play. At the current time I don't feel comfortable talking more about the project itself but I can see how our discussions could lead to mutually beneficial situations where we both attain our individual goals. And after everything, if converging might be a better option, then I could be game..

Dear Amazon,

I won't waste your time.

If this is the case, you need to start looking to the future and get on the Bitcoin wagon while there's still time.
The question is, how long are you going to let Dell have this title?

(no offense to Dell.. I love you guys.. I welcome you with open arms.. I'm just trying to instigate a little to possibly inspire change..)

awesome.. Will def. keep you up to date.
Question. Did we figure out if there is a limit to the amount of addresses you can send it to? I heard someone mention 30, but then also read its being used in production by a few entities. So I figured I would just ask you.

Does not blockchain.info directly offer this API for multi-send ?
My thoughts exactly, what's wrong with just using the API directly?
Code:
https://blockchain.info/merchant/$guid/sendmany?password=$main_password&second_password=$second_password&recipients=$recipients&shared=$shared&fee=$fee

This script is intended to be used for callbacks.

The specific use case for the client who requested this script was to make a forwarding address. Specifically, where when a specific address receives a transaction, the amount is split and sent to multiple other addresses based on a percentage value. This whole process happening automatically and without delay (with the availability for confirmation delay).

Hi Initscri. I recently started a project that will most probably involve using this code you have put up. If I am able to bring my project to life successfully, I shall certainly donate for your addition to the community. I also wanted to see if needed, you might have to time to help a bit more on the project itself. I am not sure as of right now if additional help is needed as I'm waiting for my developer to figure out how large scale the project will be.

Thanks

Trying to start a new concept help global reach
by
BelieveTheHype
on 08/07/2014, 17:27:22 UTC
Hello All,

I've been a Bitcoin enthusiast for the past 8-9 months and have been researching all aspects of this wonderful technology. Based on the technology, and our global financial economic problems I have officially jumped on the Bitcoin train and optimistically believe it will be the future. As many prominent individuals explained over past couple of years, this all can ONLY happen with mass adoption and global reach for bitcoin. This is what my idea helps with.

I always believe myself to be a person that can take a technology and help come up with the right concepts to use in the right way to make it beneficial to both or all parties. Based on that concept, I wish to put together a website but I do not have any coding knowledge. I would like to make contact with a few ethical coders that can help me put together my site and help me bring my concept to life. I am ofcourse willing to compensate the individual or individuals for their time through BTC or other agreed upon methods, but please be aware as I am no VC or Early adopter with a bunch of bitcoins just laying around.

Thank you, and looking forward to meeting the right people. (details about the actual concept will be talked about with the coders themselves)

Re: UK no longer requires VAT to be paid on BTC. Now we can have a real exchange!
by

Quote is from http://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/1s8zak/vat_on_bitcoin_uk_tax_authorities_change_their/

BitPrice just had a very positive meeting with HMRC regarding VAT and Bitcoin. We attended with Marc Warne of Bittylicious, Eitan Jankelewitz of Sheridans solicitors and Michael Parsons.
We explained in detail what Bitcoin is and how it is used, following which they agreed that their categorisation of Bitcoin as: "a face-value voucher... likely 'face value vouchers'" is inaccurate. They will be rescinding this advice.
This is significant because under that definition, VAT would be due on the sale of Bitcoin, making the use of Bitcoin largely unviable in the UK. HMRC are to take legal advice on exactly how Bitcoin should be treated with regards to VAT, but the meeting was very positive and I would expect further good news in the new year.
Tom Robinson, BitPrice www.bitprice.com[1]

i guess that explains my results from this post

I've been watching this site for quite some time now and I have to say, I used to only see transactions from US and China...
This screenshot shows how its starting to pickup around other countries as well.

Def. a great thing for the longterm BTC global economy.

Re: I have over 33,000 bitcoins.

you need to move all of those coins to new addresses (that only you have keys for) before the seller does.
You are correct about that. Our methods of doing business are more complicated than what I described there.

I wonder if you can prove that even if you really do have these bitcoins, how do you know for sure they were stolen out of an illegal products website??
I hear so many stories of BTC stolen from regular peoples accounts cuz the hacker hit a particular exchange itself. I'm just sayin if I stole or eventually possessed stolen coins that I'm trying to launder, I would totally say "they were stolen from Hitler himself....." (yes, I went there... cuz you said you're from germany.. lol)

Just my thoughts.

PS. I have seen 39873975957 posts requesting some coins from you for no apparent reason. I wouldn't mind jumping on the bandwagon... lol
The only reason I can imagine why one might consider sending bits of BTC to random people is that you are a true believer in the concept of virtual currency and want to spread the btc's for a better btc economy... AND if you have a SHITLOAD that you don't mind spreading the wealth.

This guy just released his opinions regarding bitcoin.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DqNn5SAjOgg

Everyone is entitled to their own opinions although I clearly don't agree with this guy. What is bothering me so much is that he dismisses bitcoin as a bubble without actually understanding it at all, and then to show examples of bubbles, he shows the US debt ceiling bubble... of all bubbles.

If he had just taken the time to understand bitcoin and the concepts behind it, he would have realized that as the US debt ceiling keeps rising "like a bubble", bitcoin just MIGHT be the solution staring at him in his face.

So sadd....

buy AND exchange more bitcoins people.
