An interesting project but I'm struggling to understand what problem this actually solves when translation services are widely available throughout the world, whether that be through local services, online providers or automated tech. What am I missing?

BCharity.io - Shameless shilling or valid discussion in Bitcoin Forum?

OK so I'm a Newbie here  Embarrassed ...

I've been meaning to get involved with the Bitcoin Forum for many many months but just haven't got around to it until now. What has largely prompted me to do so is the BCharity.io airdrop which requires one to mention their project on BitcoinTalk. Having read their whitepaper I must say that this particular ICO is one of the more interesting one's out there - a decentralised international charity exchange designed to increase the accessibility and efficiency of charity across the world.

Now this raises a few questions:

  • With such a large number of ICO's/ITO's out there competing for capital  Shocked, is BCharity.io as promising as I think - can the project raise sufficient funds to reach it's hardcap, can the team pull together, stick to the roadmap, accomplish it's goals and succeed or is it just a pipedream/scam like so many others purporting to change the world?

  • Is BitcoinTalk an appropriate forum to be having discussions re. new tokens or is this perceived to be off topic by longstanding community members?  Angry

  • Whilst I gather that their is considerable resentment amongst community members that altcoins/tokens are being shilled on this forum, is it not a good thing that more traffic is being driven to the site?  Undecided Now that we have arrived, some of us Newbie's will strive to become more involved in discussions re. Bitcoin and not just use this as a platform to tick the boxes to get our airdrops.

Re: How to make bitcointalk signatures [ Logo and Images included ]

Well having been fascinated by Bitcoin for the past couple of years and had a Bitcoin Forum account for some while now, I thought it was high time I got more involved and tried to get to grips with how this forum works...

Going through my profile settings I have been somewhat perplexed as to how to create a signature/add an avatar and was delighted to find the information posted in this thread. Thank you very much!

As a newbie here with very little spare time, is it unrealistic that I can create a decent signature myself? I like to think that I am quite tech savvy but have no coding experience whatsoever. Whilst the tutorial re. 'How to make bitcointalk signatures' would suggest that it can be fairly simple and I should 'have a go', some of the other contributors lead me to believe that you really need to immerse yourself in this task and, even then, it could take someone with years of BBC experience several hours (which I don't have) to create a decent signature. Perhaps I should be paying someone to create one for me? Then again maybe that is a bit lame! Do I even need a signature? Huh

I was just about to post this and then noticed that it looks like the more involved in the forum one becomes, the greater the ranking one achieves and the higher ones rank, the more characters one is granted to create a signature - would that be correct? Apologies if I should really be aware of this already - I guess I should be checking out some newbie guidelines!
