Re: Monacoin speed reporting issues tested on many pools-- please help

Have you tested MPH pool?

Also, you need to check the miner you are using, some versions are better for specific algos than others.

I did try that miningpoolhub.com and with several rigs, the output in actual bitcoin was very low, even after 4 days.

These monacoin pools seem a scam, I'm puttin gin 250mh/s between 3 machines this end and getting out more like 125mh/s.
I messaged the guy on here who is part of poolmining.org/pool/mona and he hasn't replied yet.

I'm happy to work with someone to help resolve these issues as I'm sure it's not just me.

MY Ccminer and awesome miner stats match what whattomine site says I should be outputting, no errors, half income, I smell a rat.

Here's 109mh/s from 2 cards

https://www.dropbox.com/s/rxkjel310zgpxsi/1080ti.PNG?dl=0

Here's the duff site readout of 68mh/s and the duff graph which never has more than 2 hours of history.

Monacoin speed reporting issues tested on many pools-- please help
by

My reported pool speed is about half what my speed on the miner and awesome miner report.

I've tried it on a couple of pools and they seem to report the same reduced speed. 2x1080ti hashing at 145mh/s as per report in mining window and awesome miner, yet in the pool window it shows a fairly constant 80mh/s.

I left it 24 hours and it didn't change, so I switched pool and within 10 minutes it's constant 80 again, yet still showing 145 at my end with no rejects etc, any ideas what am I missing here?

Ever have one of those days where you feel really stupid?

I've been using nicehash for a while but they are currently "down for maintenance" for 5 hours.

So I thought right I'll set up on zpool as this is too much.
However I can't for the life of me point my dual mining rigs at zpool using simpleminer OS, can anyone provide the correct parameters?
my nicehash one went like this

claymore v10.0
-epool stratum+tcp://daggerhashimoto.eu.nicehash.com:3353 -ewal BTCADDRESS -epsw x -esm 3 -allpools 1 -estale 0 -dpool stratum+tcp://decred.eu.nicehash.com:3354 -dwal BTCADDRESS

asrock h81 pro btc boots into bios menu when powered on

asrock h81 pro btc

When powered on, this board boots to bios menu every 1st boot. Even with no cards attached.
When you reboot or reset, it is fine and the machine boots, but it the power is turned off it always goes to bios, if you press f10 to save and exit it then works fine.

I've tried everything I know, am I missing something? Heard of this fault before?

My 13 card rig has been running great for 5 weeks, last night it dropped to 11 cards, SMOS sees them at boot but claymore doesn't somehow I think.

I get this after OC is applied
AMD Cards available: 13|

Then a moment later when claymore loads I get this

GPU #0: algorithm ASM
GPU #1: algorithm ASM
GPU #2: algorithm ASM
GPU #3: algorithm ASM
GPU #4: algorithm ASM
GPU #5: algorithm ASM
GPU #6: algorithm ASM
GPU #7: algorithm ASM
GPU #8: algorithm ASM
GPU #9: algorithm ASM
GPU #10: algorithm ASM
Total cards: 11

Then it sets off mining on 11 at full speed, 13 cards show in the SMOS GUI.
Any ideas on this?

I had this, it seems to be down to RPC disabled, it has disabled itself somehow. I don't know how to enable it, I'm currently in the process of installing armory on another machine and lettign it download the blockchain again. Then I plan to restore from the paper backup.
Unless someone knows how to enable RPC without blowing my mind!

I just did this and it is showing in my armory again. Phew.

I sent a transaction, but it is “stuck” with 0 confirmations

This problem can happen when there is a temporary disconnection from the network right as you attempt to broadcast your transaction. It can also happen seemingly randomly with low-value transactions. Unfortunately, because of the way Armory and the core Bitcoin software works, it’s not easy for Armory to correct this situation on its own. But it is not too hard to deal with it manually.

If you let Armory manage the core Bitcoin software for you (or you do not know what this means): Go to “Help”->”Clear All Unconfirmed”. Then restart Armory. Send/broadcast your transaction again.

If you manage Bitcoin-Qt/bitcoind manually: Go to “Help”->”Clear All Unconfirmed”. Then restart both Armory and Bitcoin-Qt/bitcoind. Send/broadcast your transaction again.

If this does not help, it’s possible that the network is simply processing your transaction with very low priority. This can happen to transactions that are small in value (BTC), large in size (kilobytes), and do not have fees attached. You can avoid this by including a 0.0001 BTC fee on all your transactions by default. If this is the problem, you will be able to right-click on the transaction in your history and select “View on Blockchain.info”. If the website shows you an “Unconfirmed!” transaction, you will just have to wait.

 thank you for your response.
The previous transaction was the money conning in about a month ago.  Nothing was in between. That incoming is verified.

I sent 0.2 btc to a friend 3 days ago.  On the history it shows as chained ZC  and it hasn't cleared.  It's showing on his cryptopay account and on blockchain.
What's the issue here? Never had this before.

Frustrating, I can get SMOS to mine ok with these but not quite full speed.

In windows I can get it to see all 13 580rx in safe mode, 10 in normal mode, but it crashes with "system thread exception not handled" when trying to boot with 13 in normal boot.

Did you mod the BIOS?

I am having a similar problem with my 1070s the overclock is having issues applying. But for AMD cards you need to mod the bios to get the full speed.

yes they all run full speed in windows

*** update, the latest update from SMOS has them all at full speed Smiley

Hi all,

i'm now setting up several 12 GPU rigs made of AMD RX 580 8G only.

I have my moded bios file. Can I flash it with SMOS or i need to flash my cards with windows and install SMOS later ?

What is this "OFFSET" setting tytanick is talking about ??

Many Thanks  Grin

Offset is lets say global parameter in gpu whch told gpu to undervolt by specified value.
For exampel if gpu has values for different stages like 900, 950, 1000 tehn offset of 100 will make those values 800,850,900.
Anyway after this update there will need to set  value in standard format and not offset one.
So for example 850 [mv].
I am dont have experience in this field of modding bioses in GPU and only that i heard here and there.

Wow First post and reply by the boss  Grin
Thank you !
By the way i'm pretty sure that my modded bioses will perform better than stock ones.
I will switch my 8 rigs to smos When proper oc will be released (can't wait)  i run my 580s at 1200/900 // 2250/900
I push 31,7 mhs eth + 1000mhs dcr... I hope i will get similar perf... Roll Eyes

I got 30.4mh/s with my 580s in windows but in smos they fluctuate from 24-30, I average about 366mh/s for the 13 cards. I wish it was faster, as fast as windows.
I'd love to know what you get, I'm torn between 7 cards at 30.4 in windows and 13 cards at less in SMOS.
I'm hoping the updates will resolve the speed issues.
