A more peaceful 2025 is something important to hope for, giving a reminder it's possible is great, thank you. The USA is deeply involved with affairs of Eastern Europe, will Trump be able to reverse the insanity?

Honestly it feels like the next Solana rug like CHILLGUY and co

I heard about PENGU today for the first time, and will learn a bit more before deciding to ignore it. Only a few Memecoin projects last, with much usage, after the first huge crash.

Re: What do you think of the trend of Tap to earn?

It was great starting by NOT to open tap-2-earn gaming through its bot. Cause not only has this benefited users and the TON blockchain, but it gave boost to the growth of trading volume, bringing new signups, and followers to exchanges like Bitget, bybit and more.
You're right about this, especially the opening avenue of signups for relatively popular exchanges as mentioned above. I never used those exchanges until all this telegram bot tapping stuff came up and some of those mining apps compelled users to use those exchanges.

To show how the Tap2earn crave has caught so much like a wildfire, long term projects that didn't start with that are now including it in their plans. However, airdroppers have to be weary of what projects they follow. They should do their due diligence before they start tapping. Burning data to tap and farm those projects should be seen and taken as a big deal and mustn't be wasted like that. Time is money.

The Tap2earn crave must be for foolish people who want something for nothing, and it will have a dramatic collapse at some point. Reality has a way of eventually catching up when people lose their common sense.

Useless garbage (tap-2-earn) does not add any benefit to the long-term success or health of the TON blockchain, unless - as requested by at least one other post in this thread - developers soon offer higher quality projects to the flood of new people who joined Telegram. Without some quality, it is all just endless junk at a different venue than before.

Let's have a thread to discuss gambling on the 2024 United States Presidential election!
Remember: This is a thread about gambling, we go by the official results. For disputing past events you can go on the politics board.

Amazingly it looks like we're headed straight to yet another Biden vs. Trump race....

Betting on the Democrats now could be a big mistake, a week or two before Biden quit I was able to make a bet on the Democrats winning which paid ~3.2x the bet. Now it pays <2x. The bet wasn't real big, I should have made it much bigger.

Re: Bitcoin as a core subject in our schools - Good or bad idea?
by

Correct, so El Salvador and/or Japan might be more open to this than most other places.

Bitcoin as a core subject? Well in my opinion I would say cryptography as a core subject rather. Then students or pupils will be able to get a proper understanding of how the crypto space works especially in the case of Bitcoin. For some time now some schools already offer such subjects to their students however most of the time as a branch under one of their networking or programming subjects.

although it's a nice idea, the biggest limitation is the Government since in some countries , crypto is regarded as illegal therefore schools in such regions can either not teach such subjects effective or can't even teach it at all depending on the crypto tolerance of the countries government.

While I agree with the advice to be careful: Someone who doesn't gamble might want the $25, are you willing to use escrow?

Do you have a "gambling problem" which you can sometimes control for years?
by
Bender Over
on 16/12/2023, 22:15:57 UTC
Let's start with the simple choice: Do you consider yourself to have a gambling problem affecting your happiness, security, relationships, finances, etc? Now, here is something a bit different: Do you have a "gambling problem" which you can sometimes control for years? Either you make enough income to call it "adult play", so you do not have real problems, and/or you simply stop for a long time. Then - months or years later - it gets worse again and you are in trouble.

(First question was above)
(Second question) Either way, when it's time to stop, how exactly do you do it? (For example) Change other habits, go new places, exercise more, stop drinking, simply "swear off" gambling... How exactly do you stop? Thank you.

(Exactly) How to import a FTC (feathercoin) private key please?
by
Bender Over

Hello, please help, if possible.

I need to import a FTC (feathercoin) private key originally from electrum-ftc desktop wallet. That one will not connect to the network no matter what I do. Feathcoin-QT (the full node wallet) is connected to the network, but there is no apparent way to import a private key (the "export/backup" option is easy to find, but not import), and no matching info on Google.

Earlier, I tried Edge Android wallet (error message every time when importing), and the few others supporting FTC, none worked. This has to be possible, how? Thank you.

How is it related to Bitcoin, blockchain and smart contracts?
...

For me they are very related, since I had no time for those things when I was drinking. I agree it is sometimes possible to be more creative when drinking, but pot (Sativa) is much better for that enhancement.

Re: US Supreme Court Ruled in Favor of Coinbase
by

....

The SEC and several states argue that the product constitutes a unregistered security offering. Coinbase claims staking is not a security, maintaining that it is a "core part of ensuring the cryptoeconomy functions for hundreds of millions of users around the globe."

Calling staked coins "a security" might be considered an extreme compliment. Most POS tokens/coins are really just glorified Ponzi schemes, if we are really honest, is this correct or not?

Do you drink alcohol? I recently quit and feel great! For me this is related to Bitcoin, since I am much more optimistic about the future, and have some brain left to learn all about blockchains and smart contracts. How about you, are you doing well on most days?
