I just purchased an Avalon6. It did not come with the AUC2. Does anyone know where I could get one?

Part of me likes long blocks. It gets some of the jumpers to go away to other pools making my shares worth more.

Go away and stay away jumpers.

Do you guys think that BTC may have found a new support level around 330usd?

No. There is no such thing. It is very volatile and will be for some time.

Is there any reason to not set the payout threshold to the minimum amount?

Pay less transaction fees

I'm confused. Isn't it a 2% fee?

If you're charged 2% on a $100 it's $2.00

If you have two transactions of $ 50 each each charge is $1.00 thus the same amount.

Not having read the entire conversation, I think they are talking about bitcoin network transaction fees, not pool fees. So two tranaction would each cost (hence 2X transaction fees).

Ahhh, gotcha. Thank you.

Payouts have been temporarily suspended due to bitcoind issues. Normal operation will resume in a few hours. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

It's not a big deal, but is anyone else getting 2 emails anytime you get a payout notification? Just wish I would get double paid like the double emails. Cheesy

OK so here goes the "Newby Question of the Day": On my stats page there is a category for "Blocks Found", and of course with the minimal number of hashes I'm contributing, I would not expect that number to change from the "0" (zero) that is currently. Does something "special" happen if for some strange reason my equipment might stumble upon a "block"? Does my "reward" change? Do I suddlenly get rich? Or do I merely get the recognition of having "found 1"? And by "found", does that actually mean "resolved", because I can't actually count the number of times my mining software has reported that "a new block has been detected"? Just posing these teasers to hopefully, eventually, get me out of, and beyond the "Newby" status that I know I justly deserve. Thanks, and I look forward to all of your educated responses.

You get nothing extra for finding a block other than perhaps a laurel, and hearty handshake.

Granted I don't have a ton of mining power but I've never found one.

I had 2 cubes go offline due to a power failure. They're back up now so we'll get this block resolved in no time! Wink

Since the recent brief site downtime for maintenance, I see that the average hash rate is now calculated over the last 60 minutes rather than the last ten rounds.  This is a good change, giving far more useful information.

Slush just put up a post on the Facebook page showing what is coming soon. Great info.

Hash them flat out till the power cost becomes more than the BTc value you can mine.  Roll Eyes

Will do. Thanks. Considering these are run at work and not at home, flat out it is.

So I have my block erupter cube cooking along nicely.

All the chips are running perfect.

I have it currently running at the default low speed. Will it be more reliable in the long run or should I crank it up to high?

It's inside my office at work so the temperature is roughly 72 degrees in a fairly dust and dirt free environment. It currently has the one standard fan that came with the cube running.

Side note, I put it in to high speed mode and within 5 minutes it fried my cheapo power supply. So, now I have new Corsair model that should be able to handle it easily. But, my question above still applies.

hello I'm new to bitcoin and I'm having an issue on the bitcoincz or slush's pool. I've been mining on my Samsung galaxy fame but nothing is being reflected on my account. it is saying 0 shares but I've been mining for two days according to my mining app I should have at least four shares already. please can somebody tell me what I'm doing wrong!

Is this a serious question or an April fool's joke?

First off, it's my fault for that last long block. I added a new cube yesterday. Cheesy

Secondly I have to share my idiot moment of the week. I was frustrated beyond anything trying to get it set up. I put in the settings with the IP address and whatnot and then tried to get to the cube via another computer on my network. So I would put it back to factory settings, try different things and try to connect again. No matter what I did, I couldn't reach the cube. I was about to throw it through a window until I realized the network cable I had going to the switch had come just slightly unplugged. Popped it in and I was hashing away. I guess I was the butt of my own April Fool's joke.
