Re: Good news for bitcoin as G20 says no crackdown for cryptocurrencies

Hopefully this brings in more investors.  Seems like crypto is only bull or bleeding money. I would honestly be happy with a 500b stable market for a few weeks

Technology is too strong.  Things will turn around but itmoght not happen in 1 week.  The use cases for crypto are gaining everyday.  Price will eventually rebound

We need new money to come into the market. We are stuck in a cycle of selling to buy back in at a lower price. This can’t work if 90% are doing the same thing.  Then we are stuck in this viscous cycle.  How can we attract new investors?

Great time to buy.  Unless you think it will never surpass 12K again then don’t buy.  I think we all know that BTC will rise up again so there is lots of potential for you.  Good luck!

Bitcoin is king because it was the first of its kind.  Therefore it is the most recognized crypto and trusted as well.  However, it does not have the best technology

It seems that if you zoom in or out a certain amount then you can manipulate what you are trying to show your audience.  It seems like no one really knows when momey will pour in or pull out

We need mass adoption.  The crypto market grew a tremendous amount in 2017 meaning that if you got in late 2017 you need new investors to keep the market surging upwards

Any reason for the drop?  Last time was because of government regulations but the sentiment is pretty good now.  Any rhyme or reason?

BTC will fix its issues.  It has a tremendous amount of influential backers who truly believe in it.  They are just working out the issues and will grow into a better version of itself

Re: Why do some government ban bitcoin?
by
BennyOnions
on 11/02/2018, 02:29:15 UTC
Governments want to ban crypto because they can’t control it.  The whole idea of being decentralized goes against governments.  Also, governments want to make sure they can tax cryptos to make their cut.

Re: By what percentage did your assets go down to during January?

I lost probably 70% but if crypto survives we will all make it back plus some.  I hope a big run is in our near future

I think that November brought a lot of new investors.  Those new ones have probably lost money and cashed out.  They will be reluctant to jump back in.  The key is adoption.  The dream of getting rich quick might be over.  Common folkneed to see real life use.

Crypto in general just lost a whole lot of new people/money.  These weak hands were needed to grow the market.  Lets hope we haven’t lost them for good and hopefully more investors will come.  I can tell you this crash has really hurt cryptos reputation amongst average folk

I think BTC has been overrun by people looking to get rich but could care less about the technology.  The market grew tremendously in 2017 and I think most new investors thought they would be millionaires by now.  Hopefully the January volatility hasn’t scared everyone away.

As some have noted, keeping in a reputable exchange is okay if you are a short term holder but if you plan to hold long term then an offline wallet is much safer.  Take a look at the big hack that happened yesterday. It’s tough to trust exchanges when they are lacking proper security measures.

BTC Futures- Awful for BTC?
by

It seems like the market tanks everytime futures are set to expire.  I know it’s great having more money in the market but are futures a gift and a curse?  What do you think?

Once LN is fully implemented and if it proves to lower fees and transaction time then you will see BitCoin really take off.  The only thing that will hinder its growth will be the constant FUD from possible bans by governments and regulators.  2018 looks like a good year for BTC.

There are too many variables at play here.  Regulations and acceptance will play a huge role.  But no one can actually predict the market.  They are hoping but no one knows.

by

This is the same as someone predicting that the price will be 100,000 in 2018.  Truth is no one knows.  BTC could help itself by fixing its transaction fees and transaction time issues.  Once that is fixed the obstacles are adoption and surviving through government regulations.  More and more regulations are coming.

Everything is just a prediction but no obe really knows.  I would say that a hindrance would be big market government’s banning crypto trading.  This could have a devastating effect on the price as you have seen with the S Korea scqre.
