Its because Bitcoin is in early stage, its in its infancy. People might know about it but asking them to switch from fiat to BTC is proving to be difficult

egopay is a joke runned by amateurs.
also, egopay transfers should be final so Lakebtc must credit your account. put pressure on them. you already gave them your funds which are not reversible(according to egopay terms)

But that like you said, all on the premise is that Egopay won't run away.
BTC-E is good and easy platform for bitcoin trading with decent fees and great security features.
I think there is no verification needed if you withdraw USD to visa but fees is a bit high.
