Re: The economic impact of the Ukrainian war on cryptocurrency
by

on 11/03/2023, 13:41:23 UTC
There is a 1% increase in the Russia-Ukraine war leads to a 0.2% reduction in Bitcoin trading volume. The findings also indicate that the impact is more pronounced during the post-invasion period, especially after one week of the invasion. Co-movements between War attention and cryptocurrencies. War attention negatively (positively) affects all cryptocurrencies in the short term. Results consistent with cryptocurrency investors responding to War attention by seeking liquidity.
Finally, the Russia-Ukraine war predicts Bitcoin returns in both the short and long run.

When it comes to investment the human factor will always come to play which involves FEAR, when ever you see people panicking over their investment their must have been a negative news that triggered the Fear making people to either their funds or sell off shares. This is the same case with cryptocurrency, when their is a particular FUD, you see the market going down immediately.
My major interest is why most economic crash comes from the USA, yes I know they are among the world powers but why does it look like they control the world Economically, they drag everyone down when an action emenates from them.

Re: Try to save money while you still can, will you ?

Saving money should be an integral part of everyone. Saving helps alot and people needs discipline to be able to save money. No matter how small you make from business or job, you should be able to reserve a little. Many people find it difficult to save because they don't have saving patterns, you can decide to save with co-operative institutions, banks, social clubs or any financial institutions paying the agreed amount of ur savings either weekly, monthly or daily to be accumulated for a period of time, that way when it's time to take back your savings, you can use it to achieve something tangible.

Bitcoin will hardly topple the dollar or other major central bank-issued currencies, but its technology will change how we conduct payments, banking and other financial transactions. These changes will bring many benefits although there are significant downsides as well.

Re: War: who benefits and how!
by

Conflict or war is always beneficial to the countries or government that sent themselves out to surpress the other lesser countries.
Economic Gain
Often wars are caused by one country's wish to take control of another country's wealth. Whatever the other reasons for a war may be, there is very often an economic motive underlying most conflicts.
Territorial Gain
A country might decide that it needs more land, either for living space, agricultural use, or other purposes. Territory can also be used as “buffer zones” between two hostile enemies.
Religion
Religious conflicts often have very deep roots. They can lie dormant for decades, only to re-emerge in a flash at a later date.

Religious wars can often be tied to other reasons for conflict, such as nationalism or revenge for a perceived historical slight in the past.

Re: Why is money ruling the world?

Money rules the world because a man who is a billionaire is respected and loved by everyone. Why? Because he has the superpower to control everything from money whether a person or a thing. We can’t even think a man who has no money in his pocket can easily rule the world. That’s the reason the world is only ruling by those who have money to do all the things that they want which is although a darker side of our lives.

Re: Do you guys think that there will be a new technology to recover lost of Bitcoin

Since I have been in this space this has been one of my prayers that one day we could be able to recover not just bitcoin but anyother asset of importance they have lost and I think any recovery have to do with wallets because that's where the assets are stored. I have once read where a writer said that if we could recover our lost wallets we probably misplaced their PK's that means we ain't in decentralized system and people ain't responsible for their wallets. But I truly want a remedy to this coz many of us are affected.

Wow! Just wow!!
You must be a good orator and marketer to have convinced your old man to invest in crypto-currency having used Fiat much more of his life. I don't know the name of your country but if our older parents let's say from 60 yrs and above in Africa can give cryptocurrency a trial our Economy will boom but funny enough most of our youths still perceive cryptocurrency as scam.

I don't think CZ is Satoshi because if he really is in one way or the other he would have revealed himself in one of his talks.
When it comes to the supposed wallet with that huge amount of Bitcoin, it shouldn't be a surprise to anyone because Binance is the best exchange, Crypto Whales can use Binance for transactions and also it could also be CZ/Binance bitcoin wallet address. In anyway the deposit or withdrawal of this BTC have not caused anyone any harm, so we are good and fine.

Nice on your move to accumulate bitcoin now that we presume that it's on the low level range.
But I really don't like trading bitcoin if I don't have upto $1k capital and above, I'm this type of person that will want to appreciate any  profit I got on any trade and in order for that to happen I don't go trading bitcoin with little capital, instead of that use ur $100 - $1000 and look for low gem coins and buy. You can split your capital into 3 projects and buy once it moves up, you will definitely appreciate your profit, rather than buying bitcoin with $500 and in one year you haven't made $100 profit.

If wishes were horses, beggar's would ride.
Bitcoin making this type of electric speed movement will seem virtually impossible, I don't know or think about any analysis that will fuel this movement because basically Technical Analysis has not been living up to expectations in recent times, then if its fundamental analysis what could trigger this this movement?
I just presume Bitcoin will likely hit $30k this year, if it crosses then we see it but I doubt, seeing 100k movement might be around the next 3-4 years, presently the world economy is recovering and I think all these works simultaneously.

Re: How will you feel when your government make BTC legal?

Bitcoin is not legal in my country but I will be glad if it legalised as a means of exchange, it will help many people to know about what cryptocurrency really is. Presently a lot of people in my environment thinks Cryptocurrency is scam especially Bitcoin because that's the one most people know by name,so due to the volatility, that it can swing both ways, they think it's scam. So I will be very happy when It is adopted by our government.

Proudly African! Cryptocurrency grew over Africa with the speed of light, the adoption among the youths was very fast especially in Nigeria. Almost all 90% of Nigerian youths in one way or the other has a clue to cryptocurrency to the extent that it began to threaten the banks of loosing customers and money and the central bank in conjunction with the government moved to stop crypto in the county but unfortunately, cryptocurrency moved above their powers and what they can stop till today.

Re: Bitcoin ATM firm allegedly profited from crypto scams via unlicensed kiosks

If not surprised to read Bitcoin ATM has been used to scam people, in this space, I believe nothing is impossible and people with questionable characters will always look for a way to dupe innocent people. My friend once used bitcoin as a means of payment in a shopping mall in one of the states in Nigeria and have had to wait for over 1 hour after payment for the acknowledgement, from his end, the transaction was successful but the sales rep was claiming not to have been credited, it took extra confrontation for them to agree to the payment.

Bitcoin has become a global discussion but frankly speaking it's still something a lot people don't know, as of 5 years ago in the area where I lived, when I talk about cryptocurrency, nobody seems to understand what I'm talking about coz I knew about Bitcoin early enough because of MMM ponzi scheme. But in the present times much more people are coming to know about bitcoin but with different perspectives. Some see bitcoin as scam because of the scalability, some youths see it as a means of defrauding tool because of the decentralization and the older generation will never adopt it because they want to have paper money.

A lot of people are now forming cryptocurrency exchanges on Bitcointalk. I hope you guys do this with all sincerity coz a lot of newbies are in the space who might not know their left from right. I really wish this avenue for crypto exchange should be redifined maybe into a registered website or app under any financial regulation to be sure people are safe. Money transactions requires great trust from the providers to be sure their funds are safe even with Escrow.

Re: Why are investors so sceptical about Altcoins?

on 05/03/2023, 16:28:34 UTC
People are skeptical about #Altcoins because most of them  don't have use cases, most #Altcoins don't have good support backing them, imagine how some #Altcoins go into oblivion whenever there is crash and will never make it back into the market. Some Devs will just want to rugpull investors. Nevertheless some #Altcoins have made millionaires, I will advice anyone who wants to buy #Altcoins to buy from good CEX : Binance, MEXC, Gate, Kucoin, Uniswap etc

Dogecoin has really done well in the past especially being backed by Elon Musk. Many people have argued about Doge price projections which is not too clear now. I know Elon is not the developer but backing up, so let's just see what happens. Doge only moves massively when he makes a statement or tweet about it and I don't think it will get to $1 with this pattern.

Re: How to spend money determines whether you can avoid unnecessary problems
by
Bestdss
on 04/03/2023, 18:12:55 UTC
First thing people should know is that " it is easier to make money than to save money". A lot of people aren't prudent with spending especially the male folks. Saving is a pattern, culture and way of life and if you don't have the saving culture inculcated in you can't save. Yes, most people will say what they earn is not enough to be able to save, but believe that if you were making $100 monthly and couldn't save $1 out of it monthly, if you make $1k monthly, you would still not save because issues to be solved will still be around.
What I do is, every month I take pen and paper and write what I need to solve or buy for the month, write down what to be saved no matter how small and keep to the plan, you don't allow ur emotions change ur list. Keep to it and see ur self saving little money at the end of the month.

Re: How is the cost of living in your country?
by

on 04/03/2023, 18:01:54 UTC
I think there is general inflation in the world, but as bad as you feel your country is presently can't be compared to the Hell of suffering people are going through in Nigeria. Inflation might be over 200% here and this is caused by evil greedy bad leaders who are bent on impovrishing the citizens with bad economic policies.
Cost of food has gone so high that majority of the citizens can feed normally, cost of transportation, no capital investment and development. Everything is gone wrong, so no matter the situation of your country, Australia is 100 times better than Nigeria. You guys ain't going through hard times.
