Re: Bitcoin: Should you stay or should you go?
by
Beyonce

i will not quit earning with bitcoin for about next 2 years , except the bitcoin price going down until 2$ , maybe ill bought some and vacum for few years  Tongue

Well if Bitcoin price will go down to $2 these days that means really a bitcoin economic crisis and I can say that chances of getting it up will take to 5 years and up or maybe will stable with that range. Hope It won't happen lol.

If bitcoin even went much below $100 it would probably be doomed. Miners wont continue to mine for long if they were losing massive amounts of money. I think the biggest risk is bitcoin needs to remain profitable for the miners because without them we're screwed.

Re: How much have you gambled?

I've gambled zero bitcoin. No way I'm going to risk my precious bitcoins but I think just investing in bitcoin is the biggest gamble. Who knows where it could go in the future. Maybe it will be worth tens of thousands or zero.

Re: Does martingale really works?
by
Beyonce

Martingale is useless in dice games.
Sure you can win now but you will end up giving all your btc eventually.
There will be times where you will lose many times in a row and you will run out of capital

Well that logic applies to any betting. There are no foolproof winning betting strategies or casinos would be out of business.

Re: Real Satoshi Nakamoto

Why the Bitcoin Talk Forum has failed to find the inventor of Bitcoin Satoshi Nakamoto?

For the same reason everyone else has failed to find him. He was obviously very good at protecting his privacy and I have respect for him because of that as it's very hard to be a complete ghost on the internet. Kudos to him.

Re: Best way to measure Bitcoin popularity?
by
Beyonce
on 06/08/2015, 13:07:38 UTC
I think the best way to measure popularity is by the price, but also the number of transactions happening every day.

Further to this, you shoudl check out the thread asking people who has 1btc or more. Im gobsmacked that 90% of the people there dont own a whole coin. If you made assumptions that 50% of the accounts on ths forum don't own a whole btc then you can see how any sorts of surveys, traffic counts etc can be deceiving.

It is quite an eye opening read. On the flip side if Bitcoin was truly popular barely a soul would be capable of owning a whole coin.

There are several leaps to make for a coin owner. Hearing about it, knowing about it, properly understanding what it entails, wanting it and then actually getting hold of some. That process might take years for certain people and most would fall at the final furlong.

Lots of people make lots of noise but most don't have the spare cash or the balls to actually own any.

One bitcoin can be a lot of money to some people, but some people join this forum to either learn more about it before they take the plunge or to actually try to earn their first coin in some way.

Well apparently they're going to deliver it by drone too: http://www.newsbtc.com/2015/07/31/delivering-medicinal-marijuana-by-drone/

I must say I think it would be pretty cool to pay in bitcoin and have it delivered by drone.

Re: Bitcoin: Should you stay or should you go?

I'm fine with most people not getting it yet. It really is what current speculative profits are based on. Just as with the constant stream of criticisms of the early internet, by those who could not see that the internet would eventually dominate their lives, those who see bitcoin's potential stand to gain the most.
One can invent all sorts of reasons why bitcoin might not do this or that, but as long as it is the fastest, safest, and cheapest way to move money it is worth trillions. That kind of money is never left on the table.

I think or at least hope many laggards will come to regret not getting involved with bitcoin in the future, but I think it's going to take many years to break into the mainstream. I think bitcoin is comparable to the early days of the internet also, but I don't think it's going to revolutionize the world like it did unfortunately. It will likely have its place in the remittance market and grow in use with online payments but I can't see full world domination sadly as most people just don't seem to care or will have that much of a use for it. Hope I'm wrong though.

Re: Bitcoin: The End of Money as We Know It documentary is out!
by
Beyonce
on 15/07/2015, 14:33:31 UTC
$6 for the movie? I read that the director spent 2 years reasearching and filming it so I think it's a justified purchase.

a lot more than that was put into Game of Thrones, and yet.....

.. over a hundred million people worldwide subscribed to HBO, all paid for that.

How many people will watch a documentary about bitcoin?

True, but even many more millions didn't pay for a subscription to HBO and just download or stream the programs. I think TV or films are likely going to have to get their revenue from other sources eventually as over time people will stop paying for any media or going to the cinema or what not. I'll watch this documentary but with everything else I really can't afford to pay for every tv or movie or album I watch/listen/download.

Incubus - Pardon Me
www.youtube.com/watch?v=PXzuDXZwZtI

this shit really brings me back to the 90s! Cool

Incubus are one of my favourite bands but I haven't really liked much of their new stuff. They have a couple of new songs out now but they're nothing special. I would still go see them live though.

Amir probably has much better things to do that post on this forum. Is he still working on OpenBizarre didn't they just get a million dollars worth of funding? He's probably busy with that amongst other things.

Re: TV Series Recommendations...
by
Beyonce

You guys should check out "Mr. Robot": http://www.imdb.com/title/tt4158110/

Somebody already mentioned it on the previous page:

There is a new series starting, named Mr.Robot, which i believe most of you will like. So far only pilot was aired, and is available on torrent,
Its about a young computer security geek, that gets involved in certain hacking group thats trying to attack top 1% of the richest population and redistribute wealth more fairly.
My advice; check it out.

It was very good. I kinda wish it was released all in one go on Netflix or something so I can binge watch it. Hate having to wait a week for new episodes especially when its a good serious or shows potential.

Re: [2015-05-14] You can now tip musicians with Bitcoin on SoundCloud

That's pretty cool. I hope changetip are actively involved in trying to get different sites to accept bitcoin via them. I think bandcamp another similar site would be wise to accept btc too, hopefully not just through changetip but as a proper payment option since they sell a lot of music for independent artists.

Re: What do you expect from dice sites?
by
Beyonce
on 08/05/2015, 13:53:25 UTC
Dice sites will probably die off eventually especially when the market gets saturated. I think they need to do what I heard PrimeDice are doing and expand by adding more games. Dice is pretty simple so it's ok to play occasionally but I'm sure people are more interested in other games that they could play and go back to dice when they wanted.

Re: What is your favorite type of gambling?
by
Beyonce
on 08/05/2015, 13:41:08 UTC
The only gambling I like and partake in occasionally is sports betting specifically football. I like studying the leagues and makes me enjoy the sports more. So far I'm a little over $2000 in profit so I usually do pretty good. I played dice gambling with bitcoin a while back but got bored pretty quick especially after I lose my bankroll  Grin.
