For the ones who wonder what kind of game Beyond the Void is, it's a new hybrid strategy game in space. It brings the MOBA genre with its RTS origins back together in a 1 vs 1 space war. It's free to play and downloadable on Steam in early access since october 2017.

To reply to your comment, our game is a moba/rts, it's not the type of game that you can develop in one week or even in one year with only one dev. Our team has been working hard on the last two years to develop it. Now the early access period (1 year) draws to a close with an official release on Oct 24th, 2018. We're proud of the work we've done designing this game.
I agree that those figures on steam charts are not the best ones, far from here, but remember that we're still in early access. This situation is usual for an early access game in the indie community and can't be compared to already released games. 
Since a few months the community is growing, and it will increase with the release. We've organized tournaments (https://www.toornament.com/games/beyond_the_void), we've been to games fairs to present the game, we've made several press release to keep the community updated, ... We keep going with those actions we'll increase their intensity with the release and after it.

Amongst our early players, some are new, some are following us since several months, they believe in the project even if the match making time is longer than expected and are eager to see the future of the game in the next few months.


As you may know, Beyond the void's business model is based on the sale of decentralized game items. Some alternative spaceship appearances and avatars are already on sale on the shop (https://shop.beyond-the-void.net). This is where the NEXIUM is used!
The Nexium will be the only token used in the shop to buy limited edition game items. 

We're currently going further by developing more than a shop, we're deploying a cross-gaming ecosystem, called Nexarium, designed around one coherent storyline using a pool of blockchain game items. The player will be able to bring his favorite spaceship inside several games in the Nexarium. For example, the Junkalibur game item can currently be used as a war spaceship in Beyond the Void, or simply used as racing spaceship in the runner game we’re developing.

We've been sharing the Nexarium project, where the Nexium token plays a strategic role, in our last speaker slot at the Blockchain Gamer Connect in Helsinki, 2 weeks ago. We're going to share more new about this cross gaming ecosystem at the Blockchain Game Summit on September 25-26 (Check the program here: http://blockchaingamesummit.com/). We’re sorry to see that Nexiums (NXC) will be unlisted from Poloniex on August 2nd.
We part in different directions, but we think it is fair to thank the Poloniex team for the support they gave us from December 19th 2016 up until now.

Poloniex changed direction, and NXC low volume of these past months is probably the main reason behind this decision. We're still listed on Bittrex, HitBTC, Openledger, Etherdelta.

It is right that while we gave consistent updates about Beyond the Void, we didn't communicate too much on our crypto side, and the NXC itself.
We are going to change that, and it begins now.

I can already tell you that we're developing a brand new Dapp using Unity, ERC-1155, and we found a way for our users to pay their transaction fees in tokens (so no double currency in gamers wallets). The first version is scheduled to be released this September for the Blockchain Game Summit, that we are also organizing by the way.
This event will gather 350 people, 30+ speakers, 20+ conferences, all focused on Blockchain & Gaming. It's happening this September 25/26th in Lyon, France.

Apart from that, we are officialy releasing Beyond the Void in October, and will announce the development & release of another game in the coming weeks.

I have several questions for you:

- How exactly Starcredits will be useful in your game ? I mean, are they to unlock new content, to progress in the game ? Can you play the game and not use any starcredits ? Would it be enjoyable to play the game without spending any ?

- On which gaming platforms do you plan to be released ? PCs, mac, console, mobile ? Steam, Origin ?

- Please tell me more about the players you target: age range, casual or dedicated gamers ?

- Are you developing a shop for the game ? How will it work exactly to buy starcredits after the ICO is finished ? Will be people be able to buy them against fiat ?

Notre jeu est également complètement gratuit. Les objets vendus dans le magasin n'avantageront pas le joueur pendant les parties, car notre but est de développer un jeu compétitif.
Beyond the Void est encore en cours de développement, et assez loin de sa sortie donc il est peut être un peu tôt pour émettre des jugements si définitifs 

Le gameplay est vraiment entre le MOBA et le RTS. Les parties sont courtes, contrairement à la plupart des MOBA, et le gameplay assez original avec des Cartes évènement qui changent la map.

Le Nexium nous a permis de réunir les fonds pour le développement, et est la base de toute l'économie de notre magasin. Cela est possible grâce aux smart contract Ethereum. La vitesse de transaction est également intéressante sur cette blockchain.

Les joueurs possèdent réellement leur objets, ceux-ci ne sont pas stockés sur nos serveurs. Ils peuvent les échanger, les revendre... en toute liberté. A l'avenir, on peut imaginer que d'autres jeux utilisent le Nexium, ou nos objets, dans leur propre jeu et que nous fassions pareil avec les leurs. Cela est également possible grâce à la blockchain.
Dans ce cas, nous pourrions même voir naître un écosystème de jeux où les objets sont utilisables dans plusieurs jeux différents. Du cross-gaming.

- le vaisseau Crystalibur
- La carte évènement Aline la Rouge

All the store items are sold in NxC only. When we release a newly created item on the shop, we look at the Nexium price to decide the price of the item. Once the price is fixed, we don't change it.

We decided to re-do all our shop. The first version was functional, but not good enough. So we are two weeks off schedule.

Once your backer rank has been determined (as it is since the end of the ICO), you can do what you want with your Nexiums, it won't change a thing about your backer rank.

We created the Nexium thread specifically for those wanting to discuss the Nexium, so it doesn't interfere with the discussion about the project itself.

If we open bounties, we'll post it and everybody will know. We don't believe too much in paying for more followers and such, because we want the people to have a real interest in Beyond the Void. We will concentrate our promotion efforts on PRs and blockchain events.
Meanwhile, we also have to do the promotion for gamers, and they do not come on Bitcointalk (most of them anyway  )so we need to promote at other places too.

We just received the same e-mail. Hilarious, especially when you know we are already added on Polo, but if they didn't take the time to check that probably means that they are sending these e-mails to a great number of people/projects.
I'll send Polo an e-mail to let them known too.

Hundreds of indie games come out every year with dev teams not bigger than ours. Some of them are a real success, and our project is realistic in its goals and expectations.
The dev team is small now, because we just finished our crowdfunding and before that we had no fund, but it may also grow over time.

We see a lot of people, mostly here on Bitcointalk, noticing the project probably for the first time, not reading our website's content (all the info is there!) and calling the project a scam before they even take the time to understand what we are all about.
I'd like to remind to everybody that the game is already in alpha for some months now, that we did a live on Twitch a couple of months back and that everyone got to see the game and hear the dev talk about it.
We did team videos, gameplay videos, we published all the technical info about the Nexium (NxC), and we update regularly the social media and the website. You can talk to us on our Slack: https://beyond-the-void.signup.team/, and even though we try to take some (deserved) time off, we will try to keep on eye on everything and answer the questions.

We thank everybody here, and elsewhere on social media and Slack who ask real questions, forces us to consider things for other points of view, and challenges us to go further. It is a great help, and very motivating too.

Something we can only agree with is: our coin's value is tied to the success of the game. We are full time on developing a great game that hopefully (and with work of course) will draw a big community of players, and then the Nexium can gain momentum. The beta for backers is not so far away, only February, and the open beta for the end of march/beginning of April.
