Re: What will happen when Gox re-opens BTC withdrawals?

People, on the OPs point.

If you had over 4 BTC in Gox right now, would you hold until if/when they re-open BTC withdrawals or cut your losses and take out FIAT now?

I just had a LTC buy... not sure how BTCe does the orders but I had an email -

08.30 - order imminent
09.00 - order triggered (1 LTC)
09.30 - order triggered (1 LTC)
10.00 - order triggered (1 LTC)

Shouldnt it have bought 3 @ 09.00?

I know you guys are prob swamped with the migration to the new servers but not sure if your aware that the summary doesn't tally with the balance page?  I had a BTCe automated API sell but the LTC it sold is still showing in the summary on the RHS.  Feel free to take a look at my account if it'll help at all.

Is the tick offset not working for anyone else using the BTC-e BTC/USD Back Testing in the LTC beta?

I've also noticed that the LTC/USD previous history doesnt refresh all the time. (when you click the extension -> LTC/USD), BTC/USD refreshes ok.  Currently my LTC/USD last entry is 13:00 whereas BTC/USD is 13:30

Edit: User error, I had override global selected for LTC and it defaults to 1hr.

Litecoin
***********

Just released the Beta to all the testers! Look forward to everyone's feedback!

Pablo.

Here are my observations so far with the LTC beta.

  • Litecoin reserve shows BTC (Cosmetic)
  • If a user used Butterbot for BTC on BTC-e they can’t do LTC in the same Chrome profile.  This then raises the question how to balance FIAT for BTC against FIAT for LTC once a bot sell is completed. (currently im running BTC/BTCe in one Chrome instance and LTC/BTCe in another instance) – is this what the Fund Ratio is for?

Currently im waiting for EMA to drop below my sell threshold and then I will enable trading as if I did right now I'd make an instant loss.

Depends on the donation.
All donors get at least 50% discount. Even for a donation of just 0.001 BTC
User with higher donations were automatically upgraded to Pro and don't have to pay. Like you for example :-)

Thanks for the note with SSL. I will fix it. Please use https://my-btc.info in the meantime.
Best wishes
Dario

Ah nice one thanks... wasn't sure what way that was going to work Smiley  Keep up the good work, except I'm avoiding your website today as its all Red and depressing lol Sad

I saw this too with Pro etc, what happens with people that made a donation would they be expected to pay now?

On a side note did you know that if someone uses https://www.my-btc.info they will get an SSL error as the only SANs are d.my-btc.info and my-btc.info?

Great news but, why would a legit exchange use Hushmail as their mail servers?

Code:
bit121.co.uk MX
preference: 10
exchange: plsmtp1.hushmail.com
300s
bit121.co.uk MX
preference: 10
exchange: plsmtp2.hushmail.com
300s

Don't get me wrong, this is exactly what I am looking for being a UK resident but with the high fees and above info I think I have good reason to be cautious?

The Volatility of BTC makes it hard for companies to accept it.
by
BigLad
on 26/11/2013, 13:20:44 UTC
Right, so please tell me if im missing something blatantly obvious.  But with the volatility of BTC being such that it changes on the hour, for vendors to start to accept it as a legitimate currency wouldnt their prices have to be dependent on current the exchange rate?

For example.

I want to buy a pair of trainers that typically cost $80 USD, back in July I could have purchased this with 1BTC.  So lets say today that same vendor has them marked at 1BTC or $80 USD, if I paid by BTC my trainers now cost over $800!

So with people wanting to accept BTC how do you envisage pricing so that it is realistic based on fiat (via a conversation based on current price)?

Unless im missing something, without a rate determined straight away I cant see how mass adoption can be viable?

Or what am I missing?

Still loving the service!  But not sure how this could be done but some way of having trades associated to the API job use the local exchange rate (of the API) and then have.

Eg

MtGox API - Buy 1 btc @ 250USD
BTCe API - Buy 1 btc @ 220USD

Then prices go up 10% the Profit/Loss would show $50 with MtGox and $44 with BTCe, when infact it should be $47 ($25+$22)

Hope this makes sense Smiley

Also +1 for an Android Balance App Cheesy

Keep up the good work Dario!!

Its all 1 account.  Ahh ok.  I'll ignore the line as at the end of the day the number of BTC hasnt changed, though I have to remember that my rate will be slightly off as I have 2 different exchange prices in play.  (I guess I could switch to BTCe from Gox rate and then anything above will be a bonus)

Hi,

If I have two API jobs setup (Gox and BTCe) and I transfer 1 BTC from Gox to BTCe should this show correctly?  The transfer just shows as -

Code:
3.11.2013 - 14:50 (Mt.GOX job - added on 13.11.2013 14:50) 0 days ago
You have transferred 0,00000000 into 0,00000000 edit | delete

I dont get a BTCe job either.  Should I edit this job to say 1 BTC for 0 USD and create a BTCe buy of 0 USD to 1BTC?

Hi Guys,

my bots last trade is 5 day ago, does anyone have the same problems?
I get mails everyday  that orders are imminent but the bot won´t trigger...?

WantaDuff

Like the other fellow said, we're on a rise right now and it likely won't sell, though it is getting close a few times. It depends on your settings. Your First Threshold is the 'imminent' email notice threshold, the Second Threshold is where it will actually sell.

There was a peculiar jump in price yesterday, I wonder what caused it?

I'm going to be sitting on a nice little profit when it sells!

Possibly the fact that Paypal said they may accept bitcoin in future? - http://www.ft.com/cms/s/0/f374ed54-4328-11e3-8350-00144feabdc0.html#axzz2jgIHkk1z
