In fact the creator basically never said anything about the algo.
I did not mention any algorithm, yep, I used fugue hash, but I just hope the difficulty too early to reduce the pool of produce.
Any chance of any other pools opening up soon? The more pools the more we exchanges we can get on and the sooner we can start to demand those kind of prices and higher when diff rises because of popularity.
There needs to be a stratum capable miner first, if someone builds a working miner I will open a pool.

Re: [ANN][Q2C-QubitCoin] Q2C-new secure hashing (cpu only)please read pool update!!
We need some more pools, i'll be happy to provide hosting and domain, if anybody knows how to setup stratum pool
We could always use some more hashes.

I use this pool and really like it. I only got one issue, I have a server that does most of my mining and it is a Xeon E31220. It does about 160 kh/s, but sometimes the dashboard say 0 kh/s or very low. Is it my server that is the issue? When I use my desktop aswell it seems a lot more stable.
Pool calculate hashrate from accepted shares in past 10 minutes. You may be just unlucky and not mine any share in 10 minutes, which can easily happen with your low hashrate (I have 140kH and it happens to me)
I've lengthen the query time, should help some, with lower hashes there can be longer intervals between submits, it's not real accurate when you only have a few shares to calculate from.

Re: [ANN][XCO] XCoin | CPU - Official Thread - Read Our Vision and milestones
I've been mining there with confirmed coins. It take 120 confirmations and they are only doing 4 blocks an hour right now and they did 131 blocks in the last 24 hours. So at this current rate it will take about 8~11 hours to get confirmed coins.
More than 20 hours since the first transactions and still no confirmation. Is that normal?
Send me a support ticket, I will get you sorted out.

Re: [ANN][XCO] XCoin | CPU - Official Thread - Read Our Vision and milestones
I've just pushed out a mandatory update that will increase the incentive for mining, I think the original calculation was a little to harsh too quickly. The mining reward will jump quite a bit, and then have a more loose relationship with the difficulty. I think I've made really good progress and this will be great for XCoin.
Please update if you are :
- running a linux client or daemon - running the windows full client (this should be out soon)
Miners running minerd are fine. This update goes into effect on block 5465.
If you miss this update message, worry not, just update and remote ~/.xcoin/chainstate and ~/.xcoin/blocks. Then you'll be good to go!
I think you may have misunderstood me, it was not meant as criticism of your pool. I just think we (Miners) should spread the hash over several pools. Thanks for explaining how the network speed is calculated.
If I had 100 MH/s I would mine solo
I never took it like that at all, I'm just trying to explain to folks that might not fully understand what they see how the network really works.
Yes, small time miner were showing db errors earlier so i'd imagine their actual h/s is either 0 or significantly less than its displaying.
Folks, this is a non-issue I don't understand your line of thinking here, or better yet you don't understand your own line of thinking, the difficulty has dropped and people tend to mine for profit no? so we have in increase in hash rate, which when you see it on the pool it's more or less instant, the network speed is calculated by the daemon by the speed of the blocks found and will take a little time to reflect the faster blocks, it will adjust but much more slowly.
Now there is a single user with half the pools hash rate, if this user was on another pool we would have the same situation, it's going to happen, every pools rate is going to go up and down, I have been quite fair and closed registrations some time ago, you know when the multipools decide to have there way with this coin then what's your argument? they leave no holds barred when they mine something.

The Small Time Miner XCoin Pool * http://xco.smalltimeminer.com * Pplns Payouts. Full Block Rewards Rewards Including Tx Fees, 1% Pool Fee. * Stratum Only: stratum+tcp://xco.smalltimeminer.com:3350
Pool should work, completely untested at this point, wasn't a miner available at the time and I won't even be able to test it myself for several hours, difficulty is still low so solo mining is probably the best option yet but its running if anyone wants to try it out.
Bigal, can you confirm you upgraded your wallet on the pool?

Still reject. This is a CPU coin.
Are you using the modified miner from an earlier page?
is what I am trying to use , but it won't let me connect.
[2014-01-20 00:10:44] Stratum connection failed: Failed to connect to xco.smalltimeminer.com port 3350: Connection refused [2014-01-20 00:10:44] ...retry after 30 seconds
is the error I am getting.
EDIT OK, it just connected and has given me a yay!
Thanks BigAl , looks like you got it working
My apologies for the initial issues, I'm traveling today making it difficult to debug anything, now to find that first block!
