Anybody know what happened to the get-bitcoin order system. Past couple of weeks keep getting "encountered an error" message and a "We are aware of the problem and will be looking into it" statement just under that. I've e-mailed them numerous times and have gotten no responce other than a help ticket number e-mail responce.
Have they gone belly up or is it a problem on my end? I've tried depositing with Bank of America and Wells Fargo and the Walmart option and get the same error.
Anybody know what's up? It used to be flawless. Thanks in advance.

I've made over $7000 in deposits with Get-Bitcoin in the last year and they have been flawless in their transactions and communications.

When ever a rare issue did arise it was usually with their deposit options and I switched to cash or moneyorder until my favorite Bank Of America deposit option returned.

It has now returned and with even more options from banks to 7-11. Who could ask for more. Hell, even WallyMart is in the mix with a one hour turn around.

These guys run a top shelf service IMHO. In my case they always make the purchaser's options and service foremost in their business practices.

Thank you Get-Bitcoin.

So you "need" $6 right now in the form of BTC, but want to pay back with paypal?

Sounds like someone is trying to scam..

i guessed that people would think that i'm trying to scam, guess there's no way to check for (un)interested people.  i don't need per say $6 dollars, but .6 BTC that are required for shipping fees for a package i'm interested in.  i also guess paypal is kinda shady but it's the best and quickest i can offer.  i'm not going to write a paragraph about how i'm an UBER GOOD PERSON who deserves money, but again, it's not like I'm looking for a mortgage on a home.

Move on, there's no interest here for this deal. You should have posted in the gambling section. LMFAO  Bikerbum

I'm planning on trying this service, will update with experience!

Edit:
Thank you so much for the service. I just saw the transaction appear, money order sent Saturday, received Monday night. The fees were clearly marked and I got exactly what I expected but also a lot sooner than I expected (Texas to California). There is a real niche here and I appreciate you serving that niche, looking forward to dealing with you all again. Thanks.

Yeah Man, These guys know what they are doing. It's fortunate they came along. Their turnaround time cannot be beat. MyBitcoin and the others I tried previously are a farse compared to GetBitcoin. If you want total anonymity, this is your service. I am a total cash customer and have sent them hundreds with flawless execution. I highly recommend them to everyone.   Bikerbum     Wink

Hi I'm new here. Very new to bitcoins in general. I have a crappy miner set up with ubuntu 10.4 and an ati 5830, bout 250Mhash/s, fortunately it is headless so I don't have to look at it.  I need some more cooling for my box, I ran out of money while I was building the dang thang so I couldn't get any case fans.  Its all kinda screwy right now so hopefully it won't cause a fire. Mybitcoin.com stole all my coin meng.  I'm here to get sympathy from people so they will give me bitcoins so I can feed my family. I live in Africa so 1 bitcoin will feed my tribe for a week! This is no laughing matter. Plus that mybitcoin dude stole all my coin so now I'm totally beat. HELP ME FEED MY FAMILY

ka-Boner

Huh

Now that's funny right there. 1-- $11 dollar bitcoin will feed his whole tribe for a week. Hell it takes me 100 bitcoins to feed my tribe for a week just in weed alone. LMFAO. What a DERP.   Cry   Bikerbum

Tom Williams,

You better come up with %100 of everyone's bitcoins ASAP even if you need to buy them with your own money from one of the exchanges.

Those bitcoins are YOUR responsibility.

I can think of times in my life where I made mistakes,  and paid tens of thousands of dollars out of my own pocket to make things right.

Now it is your turn.

Do the right thing.

Re: OFFICIALLY I GOT BACK 49% OF BTC FROM MYBITCOIN
by

on 10/08/2011, 21:30:44 UTC
I remembered a post here that calculated that MyBitcoin may have as much as a million and a half in bitcoins

All I hear is someone (you) wildly speculating that MyBitcoin had 10 times more than the published figure.
If you're going to keep bandying about the 8million USD figure etc  - please post a reference.

I'm in total agreement with you, this figure is wild speculation. I have seen estimates posted on this site ranging from 100 thousand to 1 and 1/2 million btc that were on deposit with Mr. Williams. I also saw that asset statement from supposedly Mr. Williams on August 7, 2011 posted on this site claiming appx. 70,000 btc. Which quote would you like to use? Does anyone really know how much was deposited into MyBitcoin over the years. Yes, my figure is taken from the high side estimate but the fact remains that whatever the amount that was under his control, he still has 51% that he doesn't have to account for. I see by your post that you seem to know the published figure. Use that as a guide to come up with your own figure at the current btc rate.Let's be conservative and use his figure, appx. 70,000 at the appx current rate of 9 usd = 630,000 less 49%= 321,300. That's what he's going to walk away with, 51% of his depositers funds. Does that clarify what I'm trying to say? 70,000 or 1 1/2 mill, doesn't matter. And as for a reference just search Mybitcoin assets  on this site.

Re: What will happen to all the unclaimed MyBitcoin bitcoins?

Tom already has the 51%. Don't you think he has plenty of time to think about this scam through. Everybody's happy with 49% and no more legal action and he walks with an appx. 8 mil + whoever doesn't get their claim in. If you believe this intrusion farse be happy you got your 49%. I got my 49% of .12 btc only because I unloaded my account on a purchase just prior to his execution of this deal. Losing the .12 would have been insignificant to me. The more I think about this scam the better I like it. I personally think old Tom is a genius. There is no precedent to prosecute him on if he volunteer's 49% return and only he says the rest are gone. Give him credit, he completed a flawless execution of his own design. Bikerbum

Why do you think it's an elaborate scam?

Think about it and then we will see this time next month the outcome. Remember you only have thirty days to post your claim.

When this happens bitcoins should be worth alot. While others are sad, and out of money we will be the ones with the valuable currency
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jjv-MtGpj2U.
If there is a global economic collapse I think that people will value physical commodities over virtual ones. It is unclear if people will use virtual commodities to remotely exchange physical ones in times of crisis.

I agree, if there's a collapse, the dollar or euro value of your virtual coinage will be ZIP. Did everybody forget that someone had to originally purchase these coins with cashola.

I got back 49% (11.5 BTC) and I'm more than happy.
Yeah, it sucks to loose so much...but if you were in my position and knew how much I spent to make those BTC...you wouldn't be mad.

That's what I thought about my 49% until I pondered this up in speculative head:

Well, I posted my claim for my measly .12 bitcoin left at MyBitcoin. And sure enough my 49%, .0000005 something did get credited back to me. So a normal person would think, hmmm cut my loss and I'm done. Then that 49% settlement return kept creeping back into my mind and I remembered a post here that calculated that MyBitcoin may have as much as a million and a half in bitcoins. So if this hacking statement is a farse, Old Tom Williams will be walking away with  a possible 8 mill at the current 10 dollar rate when he cashes out way down the road after everybody gets their 49% and  decides to move on as I have. My measley .12 bitcoin is insignificant but when you add all the measely .12's, Old Tom wil have a fairly nice 401 to retire on. Hell, I could retire  nicely on just 3 million. Obviously this is speculation, but I'm sure that the 1,000 and over depositors have had this same scenario cross their minds.51% and walk away with no questions asked sounds great to me.Just my 8 million cents.

How close is it to calling this a perfect crime if this speculation is true?

I am a "GetBitcoin" user for about three weeks now and have made several transactions which have been flawless.
Every time I needed customer service they were prompt in their communication and fast with the transfer. I had used
another service which took over a week for a transaction to complete. These guys transfer upon arrival of the funds.
I am very pleased with their service and my trust grows with every transaction. If they can continue this level of service I will be a customer
for the duration. Bikerbum
