Re: $10,000,000 by 2028

Cointelegraph did a video on $1,000,000 by 2028:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AtlvoX5JVuc

Some strange stuff in there like the girl exposing a virus on the banking system or whatnot. What the hell was that about?

Anyway, $1,000,000 is definitely doable, and once 7 figures is hit, then sky is the limit, so why the hell not 8 figures? It can be done, there are quadrillions of dollars out there in derivatives and other scams, they all just could be sitting in bitcoin while they are worth anything.

Re: BTC new ATH in 2018

Except that all things don't seem to follow what the charts of 2013 suggest. Do note that back then, only a handful of players are in the game, with most of the volume and market movement coming from the big fishes and the Willy bot. Having a market this big with lots of players to dilute the market will be a different scenario, and would surely not replicate what happened in 2013. Also only recently have we blown the ATH on a parabolic rise, and it is highly improbable for the market to reverse the negative trend that easily without reaching the absolute bottom of the parabolic curve. There's still a lot of money left on that ATH that needs to be 'mixed' before the accumulation begins again. Methinks that 2018 will be a lot of false hopes and fake bounces, but certainly not another run to ATH.

I think it's not that improvable. Just news of an ETF will skyrocket bitcoin into ATH again in a matter of days, if not the single day, we may see a mega green candle of dimensions never fathomed before.

It's often forgotten how tiny bitcoin is. Just a small amount of serious capital and it starts hoovering at around $100k. Maths don't lie.

It's always stupid to sell bitcoin when the crash has already happened. Now we can only dip further in slow motion, but it could revert at any time. Not worth it at all. Just hold it. It doesn't matter if it goes to $3k or not, when in no time we will be at 6 figures. You may lose the moon tickets trying to find a perfect seat. Think long term.

I am pleased to read the posts where you write "this year there will be no growth," the crypto  is sh*t, it's time to sell"...

well the problem is that "crypto" also includes altcoins and majority of them are actually shit so you can't blame people for making such statements. they are correct in their own way.
but that has nothing to do with bitcoin. although bitcoin price is affected by their dump but it is still separate and is working on its own.

Just for thinking. It is ideal demoralizing conditions atm. A lot of traders lose faith and this is all we need to surprise.
i don't think any real trader has lost faith. only newbies that had their dreams of getting rich in one day shattered have lost faith. others are waiting for a signal.

The altcoin bubble will pop but not anytime soon, people is still obsessed with finding random coins that go x1000. As long as there is the possibility to make money in the altcoin market there will be an altcoin market.

For 2018 I believe we can have an ATH, it took just days to go from $3k to $20k, so it is definitely possible that FOMO kicks in again this year and we can be there very fast.

Re: Crypto Markets Seeing Red, Total Market Cap Down Almost $15 Bln
by
BillyBobZorton
on 10/07/2018, 14:20:10 UTC
well that is what happens when a big shitcoin with a huge supply like ETH gets dumped. today Bancore was hacked and they stole $12 million worth of ETH according to the news.(some sources say $23 million) and as they started dumping it and a lot of its tokens the market cap started declining and pulled the price of all the market down with it.

a 12% dump of ETH is equal to nearly $600 million market cap going up in smokes. that is how fake market capitalization is.

It's Bancor, and yes, it seems to be another nonsensical project technological wise. Maybe their intentions are good, but the way it's delivered made me expect something like this sooner or later.

We have so many of these weak points, basically MtGox situations in which a ton of funds are a hack or an inside job away from creating these big crashes.

The altcoin bubble will eventually end and Bitcoin will finally be safe from shitcoins crashing and having an impact on the Bitcoin price itself because people are basically idiots that will sell their coins (even Bitcoin) because they learn "crypto hack" in the news.

Re: Why Bitcoin Prices Down?
by
BillyBobZorton
on 10/07/2018, 13:46:57 UTC
It is already down because we are in a bear market right now, And because of a sudden exchange that has been hacked the price that is $7000 USD and up crash to $5800 USD we are still in a process of regaining what is lost, I really think that there are people selling their bitcoin and exchanging with some other coin or there are a major panic in the community, And there are a lot of factors involve why the price is so down right now not just because we are in the midst of a bear market.

it makes 0 sense that as a bitcoin holder, you would dump your bitcoins because some shitcoin (namely bancor/ethereum whatever the hell that is) is once again hacked. Who the fuck cares? as a bitcoin holder you aren't effected at all.

Then again I wouldn't be surprised about that. We are surrounded by a bunch of morons in this field. Too many easy triggered noobs holding a bunch of coins in coinbase. They need to be removed.

Just another day to go and we are going to find out if Croatia will be able to get past England. Very strong teams left, only good matches I expect from this. Hopefully no more flops like Russia vs Spain, that was one lame match.

The world cup is getting overshadowed by the Cristiano Ronaldo news right now tho, all news about football are about how CR7 is about to announce going to Juventus officially, it's all over the place and seems like its official now, Real Madrid dominance era is over without CR7.

Re: UFC 226: Miocic vs Cormier Info and Prediction Thread
by

on 09/07/2018, 13:05:50 UTC
Ooook...  Well that was unexpected.  Lmao.  I really didn't think Cormier would be a beast at HW.  Now I'm thinking his weight cutting is what's taking him to a disadvantage at LW...?  (Aside from Jon Jones' use of steriods, of course...  If vs Jones.  Otherwise, he's still also a beast at LW)

He outweigh Stipe if i'm not mistaken, and I think that its a big factor contributing to the KO, because once Stipe was hit, BOOM bye bye.

I agree with @Hydrogen, the stigma that he was beaten by Jones twice during their prime will be a big question mark on his career. Unless he won against Jones in either LHW or HW and removed that doubt from the fans.

Indeed, DC was outweighting Stipe by a bit. 242.5 vs 246 for DC. Not that much of a difference in my opinion, also it was mostly fat, not muscle. DC is just a very strong guy, very explosive in the uppercuts, he shocked Jones too on the last fight, but in HW he is definitely under his natural weight.

Also DC's HW belt is totally separated from the LW belt so ther are no question marks there. In any case the ball is on Jones' court since he was the one that as caught cheating after all.

If I had to bet (I will not) I will give Croatia a win against England. England has obviously the most experience in these big world cup finals, but Croatia is extra motivated to get their first cup, and Luka Modric is not the only good guy in the team, it just feels like a solid cub team rather than a selection team of different players put together for a special situation, the team feels very solid. It is my favorite so far. I will not bet tho, because it's too much risk, at this point all of them could win, but that's my 2cents for anyone that wants to bet.

Awesome card, except Francis Ngannou which ruined the fight because the guy was incapable of throwing a single shoot. What the hell was he thinking?

Not surprised at DC's win. Guy is an elite fighter, tremendous knockout power with these uppercuts, he got in range and KO'd the giant. Fantastic win, now I can't wait to see him fight Brock, that will be a fun fight, he will look even smaller next to the massive Brock Lesnar.

Yep, that right was on the target.  I think he is better fighting at Heavyweight division.  But I don't know why he calls Brock Lesnar, that guy is totally irrelevant in UFC now. Or perhaps there's a lot of money involved, and Brock is is one scary dude. Lol.

Obviously there is the most money involved in an huge Brock Lesnar fight, plus DC is the better fighter so he has the advantage skills wise by a mile. The only problem he will have to face is to defeat an huge guy, but he has proven it can be done by KO'ing none other tan Stipe. Stipe is a superior fighter to Brock as well. Of course Lesnar is probably the bigges guy in the HW division, let's see how DC deals with that. I think it will just take a single punch and Lesnar goes down. He hates being punched in the face, he just can't take a punch.

If I was DC I would fight him too, then retire with an huge win, huge payday to leave as a 2 belt world champion. But he said he will at least do 2 more fights, so thats Brock and a rematch with Stipe or Bones.

Re: Market tactics

My favorite tactic is to wait for markets to bottom pretty heavily. After this crashes there seems to be a period in which the market becomes more or less flat, and this is where I start paying the most attention. If the price is sustained I start looking at the fundamentals and I start accumulating. My favorite alt to do this recently was Stakenet, I was buying some during the flatout period, I knew it would jump. Now im confident holding because I know it will not go below my entry point.

During the long depression of the bitcoin this question is rather interesting! I know that there are a lot of traders, who fixed their income in Tether, somebody in TrueUSD.
But there are a lot of good tokens like ADA, IOTA, EOS.  Do you think if btc continue to stagnating is other tokens will die too?

Based on the crypto news there are some really huge companies which decide to invest in crypto. Probably, this is the way to rocket alts and pump btc?
there was a time that I love IOTA the most, but for such a long time and it didn't prove anything. I think it's still worth to invest but not love it like before
to me, ADA is now the most potential coin that could save my year.

I became disenchanted with IOTA the moment I learned their model doesn't really work. Yes, it is fast, and yes, it is cheap, but they are forgetting the most important part: security!!

What is the point if they are neglecting security? Their model was already exploited, as of right now, I would be scared to own any considerable amounts of money in IOTA, or any other of these weird currencies in which there is no proof of work. I need to see a clear explanation in why they would be as as safe as Bitcoin, for me to move any amounts of considerable money into these new systems, until then it is simply too much risk.

I made some money with bets yesterday, as I was expecting, Russia is finally out. I must admit that although I was pretty sure Russia would not get into the finals, it was a pretty even match and I was panicking a bit until the end. Luckily I maintained my bet it worked out fine.

Now it's when the big names remaining make it simply too hard for me to do any betting. Any of the remaining teams is a serious contender.

Guys check out Stakenet, it's an awesome project with extremely interesting technology. It's going to go x100 im sure, in the next year or so. Proof of Stake staking while your funds are safe in cold storage is huge, it will change the game for anyone that likes PoS systems. Check the price on coinmarketcap and you will see how it's an ideal buy at this point:

https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/stakenet/

That was a nice dip to 6.2k sats and im confident it's going to continue going up from there.

Re: I look for fixed games

Fixes games are only happening in smaller leagues, because they can afford it due lack of regulation. Any of the serious leagues like FIFA have very strict regulations and I doubt anyone would be getting away with buying any of these players which are making millions. When you are making millions already you don't need to take these risks, but in the smaller leagues players go from bill to bill and sometimes they are pretty much forced to do it to make some extra money. In any case cheating is always sad, stick to real betting.

Today’s games -

Sweden vs England - England win
Russia vs Croatia - Russia win

Semi finals will look like this -

England vs Croatia
Belgium vs France

Russia win? I doubt this. They should be eliminated soon. Their game vs Spain sucked, all they did is take advantage of Spain playing really bad, they weren't finish any offensive moves, so all they did is have 11 men next to the goalkeeper at all times, then wait for a lucky opportunity (like Pique's stupid hand that caused a penalty)

I think Russia will get crushed by any of the remaining teams. Luka Modric is too good. Russia's only hope is using their very tall men to stop goals from happening and also win the fights against CRO defense's... but overall Russia is the worst team from all the 6 remaining teams.

I don't think there can be a post-Bitcoin world crypto wise. If Bitcoin fails all cryptos fail, there is just no way that if the store of value fails the rest of the tokens have any substance whatsoever. Bitcoin must win for other interesting altcoins to rise too.

EOS is centralized, IOTA system already got exploited, ADA system I can't trust... right now i am not holding almost any alt, all in on BTC.

But most of the world population has access to phones. Eventually everyone will be able to access the blockchain due Lightning Network instant cheap payments. All these poor people will old Nokia SMS phones will be able to make transactions with 1 SMS, accessing the global economy. I don't even care how centralized LN is for them, they will have at least a functional token to build an economy upon, this is better than having no economy at all and this will help them since the entry point will be minimum (again just a phone, then via satellite you can access the blockchain). LN is better than anything their corrupt governments can offer them. In the next 10 years you will see I was right.

Edinson Cavani who already scored 3 goals in this tournament will miss match against France due to injury. It's likely that he will be replaced by Stuani in starting XI. But I hope that they can beat France. Uruaguay is one of my favourite teams since World Cup 2010.

Damn Cabani was on fire lately, if he didn't have that injury he could aim to be the highest scoring player on the tournament.

Today im going to bet for a Brasil win, even if I don't Neymar, he is a bit of a clown, he is obviously a good player but a prominent faker. These argentinian kids did a very funny impersonation:
