Re: [Awesome Miner]- Powerful Windows GUI to manage and monitor up to 5000 miners

I keep having a problem where the miner stops. It seems to always be ccminer. The other miners that Awesome Miner uses don't seem to do this. Not sure if it's an issue with ccminer or with Awesome Miner (in regards to the parameters or build it uses).

Sometimes it will start after a profit switch cycle and then nothing happens. It will shows the first few lines of the miner running with no errors but nothing after that as if it waiting for something. This last time it was running find and it showed it had accepted 44/44 blocks but then it stopped for a long time. You can see before that 42/44, 43/44, etc.

Is it possible there is nothing else to mine (i.e.: issue with MiningPoolHub?). Shouldn't it pull something else at that point? Not sure what the X or X (X/X) denotes.

Earlier today as well, I don't remember what was on the screen but it had been sitting there doing nothing for who knows how long. The GPU was at 1% so I know it wasn't mining anything.

Soon as I stop and restart the miner, it starts working fine again.

Run GPEDIT
computer/administrative/windows components/Windows Error Reporting
Display Error Notification : DISABLE
Disable Windows Error Reporting : ENABLE
Prevent display of the user interface for critical errors : Enable
Disable Logging : Enable

Close and reboot

Try 80% power, +100 cpu, +500 mem

Thanks! Where do I set the power/cpu/and mem settings?

A bit confusing question
I've got two licences Pro and Premium
Is there any chance to combine them add extra $$$ and get enterprise or even ultimate for 100 miners?
the thing is that I'm combining my farms and no longer require different instances of licensing

I would contact them via their website to see if they can work out a deal for you.

Its official, this app is shit. I've switched the statistics around endlessly to get the "perfect" daily estimate ratio, and it doesnt even get CLOSE to the so said daily estimates I'm suppose to make. Whoever made up these stats when it came to profit switching need to get shot in the face. As per example Skein is suppose to give me $10 for 1080ti on Zpool.. Guess what, IT DOESNT EVEN COME CLOSE!!!

Made less than a dollar in 5 hours, WTF?!?!? What a hunk of shit. Even when mining with coin Specified it still mines whatever the fuck it wants so why even have the option?!

The program has nothing to do with estimates. The pools are providing the estimates for each algo. If it is off it is due to the incorrect hash rate or profit estimate the pool is providing.

This program is by far the best thing to manage even a single miner.

I may be wrong, but I don't think the estimates come from the pool (unless you set it up this way via the api perhaps). The default settings pull the information from WhatToMine.com (which I guess could be an aggregate of various pools). Also I think it simply averages it across the scripting language chosen as it doesn't know what coin is being mined (unless you are using a non switching miner or have selected the define coin option).

What is your profit switching setting, statistics to 24 hours? Long switch intervals? Switching threshold? MPH don't like pool hopping from what I've read, you'd forfeit a good portion of your mining shares if you make frequent hops.

For something to ease your spreadsheet work and convert to USD and showing grand total, somebody posted in this thread or some other thread I don't remember, but feel free to try...miningpoolhubstats.com...since you are talking about using MPH

I am using the default settings... Switching interval is 30 minutes... Threshold is unchecked.

However an update:
Suddenly my auto-exchange coin target (ethereum) balance jumped up and now my total looks more correct for the 24 hour period ($~7.00). Smiley

They must be using some kind of server farm (NoSQL DB setup perhaps) where depending on which server you are hitting at the time, you see different totals. Then at some point they must consolidate. Really wish they would improve the UI however.

I am having the same issue. I had to make a spreadsheet to add up all the columns in miningpoolhub. Awesome miner shows $6-8.50 as daily earnings but it is closer to around $1.50 - $4.50 depending on what stats you go with (they are constantly jumping back and forth).

The MiningPoolHub interface is very poor and hard to see what you are actually earning. I am not sure why they can't show more consistent stats instead of coins going away and coming back, along with amounts going back and forth as well. They should add something to convert to USD and then show a grand total. Right now I think people are making much less than they think they are.

What's with the Ikarus virus in the installation of Awesome Miner?  This test is using the official installation provided on their site.

Trojan.Bodegun

Screenshot results:

Via the VirusTotal website.

Is this due to the type of behavior of the miners or is this an actual infection? Exercise caution.

I am a software developer and here are my additional thoughts:
- Awesome miner could have a virus or backdoor that could activate at any time (and remove your coins).
- Any of the miners that awesome miners uses could have a virus or backdoor that could activate at any time (and awesome miner may not be aware of it).
- Any update to awesome miner could include a virus or backdoor that wasn't there previously.
- Any update to any of the miners that awesome miner uses could include a virus or backdoor that wasn't there previously.
- Ultimate any of the moving parts could play the long game and wait to activate the backdoor and then remove everyone's coins at once.
- Virus scanners aren't very helpful because they can only detect known viruses or certain patterns. It's not likely to catch anything written that is custom.
- There is a lot of money at stake and therefore a lot of motivation to go to great lengths to conceal such an initiative. Just be careful.
- It's not just your wallet you have to worry about, but all your logins to coinbase, binance, etc.
