For some reason, starting yesterday, I cannot display charts for several markets in different browser tabs at the same time. Have to reload every time. This issue started to show in Chrome browser, Firefox seems ok for now. Anyone else?

Symptoms: I usually have several tabs open for Birfinex, Bitstamp, et.c. and going back and forth between them when watching market. Now, if I change anything (like time scale) in one tab and then switch to another tab, screen is all black (no candles displayed at all), unless I refresh (reload). But if I do that and go back to previous tab, I see that now this one is "black"...

Little bug?
This is weird, I set to "notify" when placed one USD borrow bid offer and by now received some 15 emails, as if there are partial fills of the offer. However, these emails do not contain the amount filled (as such emails used to specify), it just says offer is taken AND nothing shows up under "Unused Margin Funding" on my account. The "Unfilled" section also does not reflect any partial filling (it says "active" and the amount is as originally entered, not less). My guess is that the bid/offer is NOT taken, but then why notification emails keep coming now and then.

Can't withdraw due to negative balance on exchange (-$18)? But my BTC  balance on exchange is in the thousands of usd.
Why is my USD balance negative? Is it just a bug or something more sinister?
Any withdraw attempt is immediately canceled. Anyone else having this problem?
My best guess is that you are just done trading and your negative balance probably reflects "unsettled" yet fees. I've seen this before and this should all clear within a day or two. You may want to try withdrawing just a bit less than what is currently shown as you balance.

We have decided to unify our BTC and LTC trading fee schedules into one universal tier structure based upon overall USD value traded in the last 30 days. We have also added additional tiers that reduce the taker rate. This new system will allow traders to get the benefit of their BTC volume when trading LTC and vice versa. Because we are anchoring the tiers to the USD value traded, our customers will find it easier to maintain their tier in fluctuating markets, most notably saving money over the old system in the event of a future price rise. The new rates are as follows:
Announcement and new fee structure is here: https://www.bitfinex.com/pages/announcements
However the "fees" page, as well as corresponding user account area are not yet updated.

He did not say it was 5000 btc.
He said the error message mentions "units" and that applies to coins not to USD. I guess however he is trading LTC, where the limit I mentioned is indeed 5000 (units). So, the rest of my message applies.

I you create a margin order for 5000, when you try to close it, it does not close and the message "You can't create an order for more than 5000 units" gets displayed. This is very big issue since people could lose a lot of money because of this bug and get stuck in a position.
Not sure where you get this, the maximum single order entry is actually 2000 btc. But even then, one can simply place more than one order under 2000 btc each, but more than 2000 combined, to have them open simultaneously.
This is not a "big issue" or a "bug".
Gee, so much whining about almost nothing going on in this thread lately...

What should i do answer them regarding the Margin was not enough and why they not close the rebuy order for the short its obvious or not ?   sorry for my english  btw

is there any chance to get my rights or am i done with that ?
Any order that YOU placed will stay current for as long as there is enough funds to back such order, until YOU cancel it yourself.  This is also true regardless of any other trades that might happen on your account meanwhile.

Please consider changing this so the default is to have them visible, or at least [b
add an option in Account Settings[/b] to allow for this default to be changed, per user.

Thank you for your consideration with this matter."

I personally do not yet feel any major shortcomings of new interface (except lack of sorting I reported above), but I would definitely second the suggestion to provide interface customizations (setting default views). Obviously you cannot "please" everyone, so enabling custom views of sort, can be a very good (and in fact quite common) solution.

Feature re-enabling request (aka "new interface" issue):

Could the tech team please look into the lost in new interface feature of sorting things from within one's account. I am not sure yet if more than one place is affected, but at least in swaps section, sorting of taken swaps by date and by the amount is no longer possible (sorting by percentage seems to be the only parameter working). Within old interface, one could just click on column title and get things sorted (ascending or descending, per repeated clicks).

Thank you in advance.

Hi everyone, any old-timers still around?
I've been away for about 7 months... I see we are still having way too much of USD swaps borrowed (close to 30 mln). This is not good for the uptrend expectations (current ratio of margin longs vs. shorts is about 6 to 1). Now that I looked at the market closer for the past few day, it really strikes me that borrowed USD swaps are pretty much always spiking up (people are going long on margin) exactly when the price is crashing down. This is the opposite of what should be happening (that is, margin longs should be selling to stop losses).

Any thoughts on this?
Here is another suggestion to modify the function of FRR:

- FRR is calculated based on currently taken swaps (using whatever formula you think is best) and this value is known to the system at any time.
- Users can place offers at specified by them rate. (we have this one already)
- NEW: Users can set placement of offers automatically (if/when they have funds on their deposit account) at the rate EQUAL to the value of current FRR (perhaps +/- Delta). Note that this would be still a fixed rate offer placement, so there will be no swaps having truly "floating rate" in the system at all (YET, one still will be able to set their lending on "autopilot" and stay "with the market" at the same time)

The way I see it, such proposal is kind of a compromise between complete elimination of FRR function (because the result will be - no floating rate offers in the system, therefore there should be no very thin and very tall "walls" on the order book) and at the same time the system would still HAVE this feature "in play" as it would heavily rely on the current FRR value for "automatic" offer placements.

I don't get this "delta" idea.
Noone would offer his swaps at FRR _plus_ some delta, because it'll be above the usual wall of FRR that will exist at FRR+/-0.
So the only way swap rates would move is downwards continuously.
Sorry that you "don't get this", but "noone" would force YOU to use this "delta" feature, so you will be just fine and you can continue staying in line, behind the 2 mln wall of FRR offers.
The main point is that "+/- delta" addition cannot possibly make the situation worse. It either does nothing, or it will help to spread the "wall" to some extend and that IS the start.

P.S. BlindMayorBitcorn, so Bitcoin is a "she"? Smiley ... I like that.

Total sum of active swaps
16,281.89 BTC

Holy shit.
It is right now at 18.5K and it spiked to 20K earlier.

BUT, comparatively speaking this is not that much. It is about 6.5 mln in swaps of shorts vs. currently 22.5 mln in longs. This is far from equal, but things indeed seem to be getting "there" (and healthier).
Moreover, I noticed that when market dictates, shorts are a lot more "flexible" in liquidating their positions than "to da moon people" (as someone else put it). So, in order for short squeeze to happen in the manner and scale the longs were squeezed previously, the borrowed BTC value probably should get to a much, much higher values.
