Very informative post Smiley
What OS, drivers, GPUs do you use? Do other CUDA miners (for example https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1707546.0) work on your system ?

Appreciate the quick reply!

Windows 10 x64, Nvidia 1080 x2, drivers 397.31, EWBF's Zcash CUDA miner. 0.3.4b works on my system.

I used the default config as it seems proper for Nvidia, and tried disabling all but first 2 devices in the config but same results. Anything for me to try?

Hello,
I am a new user of MPM with MPH.
The estimated profitability by MPM is 0.00052 BTC/day. I waited 3 days to get a fair estimate but it shows 0.00087 BTC in my balance( auto exchanged to BTC ). It is about half of the estimated profitability. Is it normal? Am I doing something wrong? I followed the readme instructions.
Thanks

Hi, I'm new too and been mining on MPH for 5 days. I could be wrong but this is what I've observed.

Are you using auto profit switching? For me I found that focusing on mining one coin/day is better. You'll get your share when the pool found the block. MPH seems to switch often these days (thanks to the fluctuation of bitcoin price).

For each coins, the pool may solved 10 blocks+ per hour, or solved only 4 blocks or less per hour depend on luck. In a worse case, it could be just only one block or none. If your MPH happened switched to its coin of choice during "bad time" you'll get less profit.

You can check block stat on each coin's statistic.

I would say, better choose your coin manually if you do not have powerful rig. Last night I tried autoswitch for just curiosity, the thing switched to FTC 7 times during last night, spent 3 hours in total to mine FTC (average 25 min per switch) and all I got was only 0.4 FTC.

Are you two paying out to btc? Unless you have a lot of mining power, its probably best to avoid btc or eth payouts. These two networks have problems with high fee rates and slow transactions. The high fees are hurting your profitability pretty badly. Instead use an altcoin to move your money to the exchange, and let the btc accumulate there a while before withdrawing. That way you aren't paying $12 transaction fees to move $20.

Profitability for my rig seems to be right on the ballpark.

Also, not using the auto switches does have a disadvantage- when a particular pool switches off of an algo or coin, there is a rapid decrease in that pool's hashpower. With said decrease, the block win rate decreases too. So even though you might proportionally get more of each found block, blocks are found less often and the total profitability may not be any better than just using the auto switches.

Hi,
I don't do payouts from btc to usd because of the high fees, until I have accumulated enough btc. Pretty much what you were saying.

The problem here is that MPM shows 0.0052 BTC/day and I get around half of it.
What do you do to get the same profitability?
Do I have to auto exchange to another coin and then after a while exchange to bitcoin? It doesn't sound efficient: what if in the meantime the coin goes down in value and I get half of the value in bitcoin?

Thanks

Just food for thought. MPM expected profit varies pretty often. Also, it runs on mainly on pplns pools which can incur a penalty for switching coins, so I would expect actual profits to be lower. I used to teak the MPM code to switch less often, I think it may have been a bias setting or something for non-active miners (@aaronsace could verify), but it wasn't worthwhile as it runs fine out-of-the-box.

Does anybody use MPH All In One Miner downloaded from MPH GitHub?
Also, question for devs/admins, why is updated last time a year ago?

https://github.com/miningpoolhub/all-in-one-miner

I would use one of the other miner that have active development, personally I use Multipoolminer. If you would like to only mine on MPH with it, delete the other pools it uses from the 'pools' folder, it reduces profitability slightly but payout would be more frequent (i.e. easier to reach payout threshold on 1 pool than on 4).

Hi, is there any way to exchange bitcoin for other alt-coins on this site? I have about 10 dollars in bitcoin and was wondering if I could autoexchange it for another cryptocurrency (namely litecoin) but unlike every other currency there is no autoexchange on the wallet page.
No, they just use bitcoins for payouts, it's not a bitcoin pool so they don't autoexchange those or else this would turn into an exchange and not a mining pool.

BTC transaction fees are high, I feel your pain!
cheers

The bigger guy of the two (the one doing all of the talking) looked like he could hardly contain himself. At times it looked almost as if he was smiling, as if he was thinking "I cannot believe we are getting away with this, we are going to be so f**king rich".

The smaller dude looked just as guilty, they probably think they are being clever with all these updates and videos to throw everyone off. If they did get in touch with law enforcement the first ones they should be looking into is those two clowns.

The "smaller dude" as you put it, has already served time for hacking/malware. I have no judgement whether he was a part of this or not, although I would assume he is a decent coder ( hey, at least his father hires good developers!). I know if I were to try and use someones login credentials to pull this off, I would have certainly tried for his, at the very least for the comedy factor.

Miningpoolhub can have a 30 minute cache for profitability. What to mine has upto a 3 minute cache. Honestly both of these are extremely long as the coin can and often does double or half its difficulty within a matter of a minute or two. In other words, the two sites are showing profitability from different times, and both are likely wrong for the current block. You can just pull the difficulty data of the blockchain and put it in a calculator or do the calc yourself, that wont help for switching but at least youll know the difficulty of the current block!

Try:

MiningPoolHub switches between the two coins correctly.

It launched in the background, miner runs, but except that I'm getting windows with powershell errors.

MiningPoolHub switches between the two coins correctly.

So it's a bit strange that miner prefers MonaCoin all the time, especially the current difficulty says that vertcoin is more profitable.

edit: I see Miningpoolhub rank and there MonaCoin wins. Strange because that's a big difference between ti and WTM.

I don't know much about the inner workings of bitcoin, but they know what wallet the stolen coins went into and where they went from there. Is it impossible to black-list the tainted coins/wallets? If every single transaction is in a ledger, then wouldn't every single coin be traceable?

Yep stick to your day job, blockchain aint for you son!!

Despite the disturbing news, this comment totally made my day!  Grin Grin Grin
Why?? He's the same dipshit that just before that posted, that he doesn't like paying 2% on small amounts so he left his money in there for a week so he would only have to pay 2% on larger amounts. LMGDAO!!
are you trolling? they charged a flat fee, obviously, and people didn't want it to amount to a large percent of the reward encouraging them leave larger amount in the wallet.

P.S. the bitcoin network charges a transaction fee, this is not based on a percentage of the amount sent. Free lesson, Enjoy!

blatantly wrong. any buyer can see their wallet transactions on the block chain. And I can clearly see 50ish withdrawls from my nicehash wallet between 2017-12-06 02:27:00 and 2017-12-06 06:15:12 averaging about 1btc each.
If you are checking your addresses on from Nicehash, you won't find it, its because they are using internal addresses from their site, and you can't find them on Blockchain at all

@MPH great work on pools.
I'm sure you already know, but since its a new pool and all wanted to bring to your attention the btg stats (such as difficulty, estimated shares etc...) need some loving,
and on the pool stats page this error is displayed "Unable to connect to RPC service: RPC call did not return 200: HTTP error: 0 - JSON Response: []"

just a heads up great work!

Hi thank you for your long explanation but you did not answer a simple question.
What does the bracketed value mean under the Credit for Auto exchange mean?
( as opposed to the one under the SAME column that is not in brackets? )

Hey fredeq, what is the frequency of the data being updated on whattomine? I have been watching the bottom of the page and it varies from around 15 minutes and up. What determines the update rate?
Thanks.

Coin stats and rates are updated every 3 minutes.
Not sure which coins were you watching, but maybe the difficulty stayed constant.

I was looking at the last update indicator at the bottom of the page:
Last update at 2017-11-15 10:57:20 UTC

At the time of this post, that was already more than 3 minutes ago. So what update does the above refer to?

Thanks.

Hey buddy!
Not sure if this helps but you can get the timestamp of the update for each coin in the json data

Hey Fred, the site has been hit or miss at times over the past few days. I assume it's probably ddos, but just wanted to make sure you knew. Anyway sent another donation to help defray the cost of running and protecting for you awesome site! I figure the site is worth at least $30-50/month USD. Maybe you should consider a subscription model? or a "premium" server access with a subscription, it's financially painful when your server does not respond. Just food for thought

People mining MONA might want to make sure that the hashrate reported by the client matches what MPH is showing. You may not be earning as much as you think you are.  MPH is registering about half my hashrate. I stopped mining MONA since other coins/algos are more profitable.

I run a large hashrate on monacoin, I never really look at what the pools hashrate shows, however when i calculate the coins expected versus my actual hashrate and difficulty for each block, it is always spot on.

Hope that helps

To whom it may concern,

on 10/15 from 23:00ish to 03:00ish I was hashing at around 8THs on Dash PPS, however the payouts stopped and the confirmed amount just stopped at .8 Dash for a couple hours. I'm not sure how to make contact with anybody but it seems like I'm missing 2-3 Dash.
