Can someone explain what a "teaser" is?

And also, with the parlay bets on the leaderboard.. I dont understand how the #1 guy risked 3 BTC and won 48 BTC on 5/6 win parlay. All of the bets were 1.6 odds or weaker. I don't get it.

Any new services hiring??

I am not sure if this is an ok place to post this, sorry if it's not.

My name is Chase and I have been with bitcoin for about a year now. I would like to consider myself very knowledgeable on the protocol itself, and have done many different things with it. A few months ago I stumbled into this sub-forum looking for a legit sports book. Since then I have tried many different services offered here. Some good, some bad, and some being outright scams! I love looking at them all and comparing function, service, etc. I would love to create my own service, but my coding skills are lacking!

So I am basically hoping a new service would potentially be hiring. I am decent/good with photoshop graphics, great with most internet related things, and very well versed in bitcoin, sports, and gambling. I know HTML but that is about it as far as coding, which is why I haven't attempted to create a service. I am currently in school for CS so hopefully someday!

Any job in this industry would be awesome! Especially a sports book since I am a huge fan of all sports and do a lot of analytics. Even just grading matches or doing preview write-ups would be so much fun. Pretty much anything related to Bitcoin. I would even work for free just as a hobby/experience. Please let me know if there is ANYTHING like this, and again I apologize if this is the wrong place to post.

I know what you're thinking.. "No, Don't do it!! We don't need anymore!!"

I know, I know.. But let me just tell you I am not thinking about creating the next profitable hit coin. I am more just looking for some hands on fun, for a personal project, that someone could help me out with.

I am not sure how much work is behind altcoins, and not even sure if this is the place to ask? If not please reference me to the right direction! Thank you very much Smiley

Bitbook needs to announce what happened to the deposits in transition right before the DDoS started because apparently noone got them credited myself included.

Agreed. This did not affect me, but needs to be addressed! Did those BTC get sent to an address you no longer have access to? Is there record of them? I really suggest you all pull blockchain information and post it here, and of course email bitbook.

Lol you cant really determine high roller betting out of that.. 15 in 15 out. But calewells just out of curiosity what are your highest bets and wins/losses.. ignore if you dont want to disclose, just entertaining for me to hear about others. I definitely hope they can help with your withdraw! Def looks like maybe it was processed during that DDoS which prob made it corrupted in the DB. Hope everything gets figured out!

That screenshot shows he has 2 pending bets for 2.35BTC total.  Over 1BTC average bet is moderately high roller, esp for bitcoin gambling.

Sorry FUR I did not see his pending bet I was just basing it on 15 in 15 out. Yes 2.35 is moderately high I agree and take back previous statement, was not a bash at all but more just saying anyone can deposit alot and withdraw alot.. was asking him for some more in depth analysis on his betting if he was willing to provide. No disrespect, much love Smiley

Quick Update:

Deposits and Bet Placing all working now.
All pending withdraws have been processed. Withdraws can still take up to 24 hours. Hoping to turn on auto-withdraw back on in a few days.

Thank you again for all your support and patience.

Actually I am still waiting on a withdraw of 15 BTC from the 26th...It says sent but does not show up in blockchain.

Emailed support, and messaged the guy on here and got no response. Crazy thing is a 1 BTC withdraw went thru later...

Please fix this bitbook my username is calewells.

Screenshot?  Tx ids?

How do I add the image? What do I put in between the img brackets?

Upload the screen shot to imgur or some place like that, then put the url they give you between the brackets on here.

Here is a link showing my 15 BTC withdraw saying it was sent:http://imgur.com/fsDyv3y
Here is the blockchain link to the address that was supposed to receive the 15 BTC:http://imgur.com/hpXqowr

Oh damn that is some high-roller betting there  Shocked

@BitChaser

A DDoS attack is short for a denial-of-service (DoS) or distributed denial-of-service (DDoS).  It's just an attempt to deny service/access to a server or website by flooding the site with lots and lots and lots of spam traffic.

Could be caused by a competitor site.

Thank you for this. Basically just constant pinging the server? Must be something pretty simple to do since it happens so much. Is it one person running it from a computer, or a server, or a botnet or a shit ton of assholes with the same goal in mind? Is this similar to the Low Orbit Ion Cannon or w/e I read about LuLz using?

We are still working on a solution. We are not running off with user balances - which are all safe, in cold storage. We appreciate everyone's patience.

Thank you!

I am getting a server provided error page at bitbook.biz atleast now instead of a browser provided one.. Hopefully a good sign :S

Really? The attack must be ongoing becaues I still get the browser error.

Interesting, I am back to getting the browser error aswell. I refreshed a few times and got a server error page that showed me connected to the internet -> connected to "CloudFlare in Newark"? -> then a failed connection to "Webhost". I will screen shot if I see it again!

CloudFare is a sort of attack prevention service so that is a good sign.  Looks like they are at least working to combat this seemingly on-going attack.

Check it out: www.cloudfare.com

Hopefully they are trying to imlement a solution!

Would you mind explaining in very simple terms what a DDoS attack is, who would possibly be doing it, and why?
