Re: Bitcoin is immortal
by
BitCoinMalin
on 11/02/2025, 05:54:53 UTC
Bitcoin is definitely one of the most resilient financial technologies ever created. But calling it "immortal" might be a stretch. Governments and institutions have a long history of finding ways to regulate or influence disruptive technologies. Even if bitcoin can't be fully destroyed, factors like network security, mainstream adoption and economic shifts could impact its dominance.

Re: A Smart Move or a Security Risk?
by

on 11/02/2025, 01:36:40 UTC
I see the potential benefits of ATMs in Costco but security is a real concern. Criminals have targeted these machines before and there's also the issue of people being followed after making transactions. I'd want to know what security measures Costco plans to implement things like better lighting, discreet ATM placements and extra surveillance. If done right, it could be a game changer but without proper safeguards, it might create more problems than it solves.

Bitcoin is built to endure and history shown its ability to bounce back stronger. Even if extreme measures were taken against it, the global community of developers and users would find ways to keep it alive. The real question isn't whether btc can survive but how it will continue evolving in the face of regulatory and technological shifts. Personally, I think it's decentralized ethos makes it more of a movement than just a currency.

Re: Is Bitcoin Still a Good Investment in 2025?
by
BitCoinMalin
on 10/02/2025, 14:11:55 UTC
Bitcoin's potential in 2025 is exciting especially with increasing adoption and institutional backing. With its limited supply and growing integration into mainstream finance, I see it as a long term asset rather than a short term play. Volatility is part of the game but history shows that patience often pays off. If innovation in the space continues, bitcoin could become even more valuable. That said, I always keep risk in check and diversify my investments.

Re: Is Bitcoin’s Next Halving Already Priced In?
by
BitCoinMalin
on 10/02/2025, 10:01:06 UTC
The halving reduces the supply of new bitcoin which historically has led to a rise in price due to the basic economic principle of supply and demand. But with the market now flooded with institutional investors and more advanced trading strategies, there's a chance that the impact of the halving could be less impactful than before. I still think there's potential for a post halving surge but it might be more gradual compared to previous cycles.

Re: Cardano as Bitcoin layer 2
by
BitCoinMalin
on 07/02/2025, 06:07:09 UTC
The idea of using cardano for bitcoin defi could be promising especially with its focus on security and UTXO based transactions. However, as you mentioned there's a growing number of layer 2 networks that aim to address bitcoin's scalability issues. For Cardano to carve out a niche in this crowded space it would need to bring unique advantages, whether through better transaction speed, lower costs or enhanced security features. I'd need to see more detailed plans before deciding if it's worth pursuing for bitcoin defi.

This sounds like an exciting opportunity! With energy prices at $0.04/kwh, Nigeria could become a major player in crypto hosting if the infrastructure holds up. Early investors locking in this rate might gain a strong advantage as mining becomes more competitive. I'd definitely consider this as a long term strategy. Looking forward to seeing how this develops!

Re: Earn BTC from shitcoin airdrops - experience

I've also explored shitcoins for quick gains like aridrops. The idea of sybil networks to grab them and later swap for btc has its appeal. However i think it's crucial to remember that many of these coins lack real utility which makes them incredibly risky in the long run.

Re: Will AIs steal Bitcoin? An Experiment
by

This is a wild experiment but honestly why even risk it? AI platforms weren't made for storing crypto and even if nothing happens now, who knows how this data is handled in the future? If the coins go missing, it'll be a lesson in never sharing sensitive info even with AI. Either way, I wouldn't bet my BTC on it!!

Bitcoin may seem tough to understand at first, but that's because most explanations are overly technical. The good news is, you dont need to know how it works under the hood to use it. There are few easy to use platforms where you can get started without any deep knowledge.

There's no need to feel like you're too late to start with bitcoin. The key is getting educated, learn about how it works, how to store it safely and the market's volatility. I can't tell you when the price will drop but there's always an opportunity to invest at the right time for you. Just approach it carefully and be strategic. It's all about making informed decisions and not rushing into it.

It's funny how value is so subjective. Back then, $25, or $50 for 10k bitcoin seemed like a gamble but now it's a steal. Makes you wonder what else today we might be undervaluing in the same way.

I get that people often debate whether it's best to buy during a dip but i feel like it's more about buying when you're ready and able to do so. If you're stretching yourself too thin by waiting, you might miss out. It's important to align your buying strategy with your own financial comfort zone.

Re: Which other presidents could make Bitcoin bullish?
by
BitCoinMalin
on 29/01/2025, 15:21:20 UTC
i've been thinking about this and for a president to generate sustained interest in crypto, they'd have to combine public advocacy with clear regulatory frameworks. Trump's hype might fade but someone who can implement policies like tax clarity for crypto gains or promote blockchain education could leave a lasting impact. It's not just about speculation, it's about leadership that drives adoption and trust

The numbers look really attractive and with such low power consumption this miners seems like a smart pick. The crypto space moves fast but jumping in early on new mining opportunities can be rewarding. If Aleo's network grows and demand increases, this could turn into a solid long term play. Definitely worth watching closely!

Re: Getting seed words from private key
by

on 28/01/2025, 11:33:57 UTC
If you didn't set up a seed phrase initially, the best approach would be to create a new wallet with a mnemonic seed phrase. You can then transfer your funds and use your steel backup method for the new wallet's seed phrase and private key. This will ensure your funds are safely backed up with both methods

I agree that fiat currency's value can be eroded by inflation but i also recognize the role it plays in short term financial needs. While i do see the potential in btc, I keep some funds in fiat for liquidity and emergencies. To me, btc is more of a long term hedge economic instability not my sole investment strategy

Re: I need a Bitcoin investment advice

Bitcoin can be volatile which is why i only invest what i'm willing to lose. For me, this means setting a budget for my bitcoin investments and sticking to it even when the market gets shaky. That way, I'm not emotionally affected by price swings and can stay committed to my long term strategy.
