Im here to just spill out the truth for you all.
To those who buy aws credits to save their actual money, you must have seen from last 6 months the prices of aws credits have shot up. It used to be below 10% and now its touching 40% rate. The reason i know (you can believe me i have been supplier for these sellers from the start like from 2016 end. I never liked selling so i stayed away)
The 100$ u got for $10 in Dec 2019 is now ~$40 in June 2020. This is going to remain same as you most of guys dont know, aws has stopped providing codes the usual way like it used to happen all these years. The aws credits that is being sold is from renewals, which means every year aws gives out new $100 credit for students who have not graduated yet, these are the students who got credits in last few years.
So you may ask whats with those students who signs up now, the answer is they just get aws starter account loaded with 100$, this also renews every year but new $100 gets loaded to the starter account, which has so many limitations its not worth it really for a normal usage.
TL;DR
You are gonna pay ~40% rate from now on. No choice. Even 50% for some new codes. Thats too much. The baddest thing this is just going to be like this. No turn back.
You may ask, do you have a solution which can give us credits at lower rate like 10%-12% and still be safe to use just like aws credits (code) ?
Yes, absolutely.
Let me tell you how its possible.
There is a thing called "Consolidated Billing" feature that aws has which allows to share your credits with other accounts.
You must have seen those large credits account that people are selling. Like some sell $5k, $10k and $25k. But, they "dont" give you with consolidated billing method verified, most of them because of card issues and all. Very hard to get those which use premium cards which gets account activated within a minute time.
All you have to do (once consolidate billing verified) is add your account to the account which has credits, you need to create organization and then add accounts.
I make accounts which are made with high quality premium cards, they are 4 months old. Have been doing this from last 1 year. This method gets you the cheapest aws credits in current market scenario which is going to remain same 100% or get worse if you dont shift to the way im telling you now. And all of them have consolidated billing verified in them.
Is it safest ?
I think so compared to every other options out there, in this you dont have to apply credits to your precious account. Your bills are paid by some other separate account
I have $10k and $25k accounts in stock ready to deliver and bring your aws credits cost down. All of them 3-4 months old.
Let me know in PM or comment below if you need such accounts.
If you dont make a shift now, you will just be $40 when you should be paying 10$-12$. Its your decision.
