It is currently waiting for a new dev to grasp the reins and guide BYC down a new path.
It's been a "stable" project for several years - so - hopefully someone will spot this diamond in the rough and start building on it.


Chris released the code as open source around 2019 and essentially retired from BYC shortly after to focus on family....

was STEX mining this?   Blocks completely frozen now that they pulled the plug...

I have a working stand alone installer if you need it.  Let me know and I'll  send a Google Drive link.
I can also add the current chain data in the link so you won't have to wait for days and days to get the wallet running.

My transactions finally synchronized with the network.

Is that guy forking the network when he does whatever he's doing on the weekend?

Transactions are finally processing.

Transactions at blocks 3478205 and 3478206 have been stuck in limbo since Friday 18:00 UTC.

My miners finished grinding through his leftover rubbish about 30 min ago.
CPU / PPS / CPD were bouncing all over the place from Friday until 30 min ago.

I agree.  I'm not a dev, just a fellow community member trying to keep this project on life support..
If you know of one - please start the process of getting BYC listed.


I was referring to transactions between wallets without using an exchange.

Whatever that guy is doing is overloading and preventing both the mining and transaction processing.

Looks like I'm not able to send BYC.
Every time I try, I get an error message saying "Error: Transaction creation failed!"

Anyone else seeing this?

The first steps for that are to refresh the wallet and the website.

If you know of anyone with some programming skills or with enough time to make some website edits - please contact them.

BYC really needs a co-developer (or two) to help it rebuild its community and its momentum.

The long block generation times are actually a good sign.
It will likely take months for the network to correct itself..

Watching my miner today while I work...

so far, at least 6 BYC have generated throughout the day - only to disappear a minute later
at the same time 2 to 5 immediately appear in the explorer after mine disappear..

..insert rant here...

wallet was current, chainz was current, and "whoever" has been mining all day.
