False positive. Perhaps some Core die-hards reported it to sabotage the BitcoinCash ecosystem.

Always amazes me how people rather spend the time to go to a forum, find the right thread, type up a question and then wait hours for a reply ... rather spend a few seconds to just look in the most obvious place, like "Settings".

The APK link on the Electrum site https://electrum.org/#download leads to:

The requested URL /2.9.0/Electrum-2.9.0.0.apk was not found on this server.

Please also see my question in the Android thread.

I just wanted to see if the newly released 2.9 fixes the problems in the previous post. The updated APK link is on the electrum site https://electrum.org/#download but only leads to:

The requested URL /2.9.0/Electrum-2.9.0.0.apk was not found on this server.

Please upload the new non-Google Android version. And does it address the issues above?

Trying multisig. So I created electrum multisig-wallets on desktop. I can use desktop electrum to initiate sending and use the android electrum to cosign it, just fine.

How do you do that?

I can't seem to find an option to load a raw transaction. Would like to load it from the clipboard. The menu only has About, Wallets, Settings and the nav bar on top has Invoices, Send, History, Receive, Request. The only thing that would make sense is Send, but in there it only allows to paste a BTC address for the recipient of a new transaction. I'm stuck.

When android multisig wallet electrum sends coin, it says "Partially signed" with a QR code. ... I also scanned that with my desktop electrum (using load transaction..) It says "unable to parse".

There hasn't been an answer to this one. I have the same problem. "Electrum was unable to parse your transactionn - [OK]" No, it's not OK! That means I can't use multisig with computer and phone. Phone can't load transaction from computer (see above); computer can't load transaction from phone (this error). What now?

I think one of the problem is, in android version, the QR gives "non hex" format of raw transaction ( something like this AFEA*0JN*-P9O1OY+:GV+.GKECS2R$KZW9$6MU6KPMMJLRI74SCEVS$K$NEASLB0.R.U3KEGJ+1UHYGF-Y-:PEY:ES-0D-$P0TUX1F4D6S5P..... ), while in desktop version the qr data is in hex format.
this "non hex" format is called base43
it should be what both the desktop version and the android version use.

It isn't. The QR data on both Android and desktop is in this base43 format (a transaction I just scanned starts with "1ISB$SFI3P2JC/$*DD:3GO..."), but the Copy and Save buttons on desktop generate hex data (same transaction: "0100000001d004750e5c4c76b74...").

BTW, I'm using Electrum Android 2.8.2, installed via .apk from the Electrum site. I can't use Google Play. On desktop Electrum 2.8.3 on MacOS 10.11 El Capitan. Both latest versions as of today.

I recently reset my phone to factory condition and forgot I had Mycelium with a small share of a bitcoin on it. Not too much, so it won't really harm me if it's lost, but enough to be annoying.

Went looking through my notes for a backup and found something in this form created in July 2014 with whatever version of Mycelium was current at the time:
xxx xxx xxx xxx xxx x
Every x is a seemingly random capital letter. After re-installing Mycelium, I can't find a way to enter this as a seed code, instead it asks for a word list of at least 12 English words.

Does anyone recognize what this backup code is and can tell me how to use it?

Specify multiple input amounts?
by
BitGroin

I know I can right-click an address or select multiple addresses and "Send From", but that does not let me specify how much to take from each address to make up the tx amount.

Example:
Address x has 1 BTC and y has 0.2 BTC. I want to send 0.5 and at that opportunity wipe out address y to consolidate all my funds in x. So I want to make sure the transaction will be:
0.3 BTC from x + 0.2 BTC from y = 0.5 BTC to receiver
(y now empty)

Electrum only seems to allow me to specify the total tx amount, so it could end up being:
0.4 BTC from x + 0.1 BTC from y = 0.5 BTC to receiver
(y still holds 0.1)
... or any different variation with y still holding funds afterwards.

Is there any way to ensure the former?

Filed yesterday, mainly based on their complete failure to respond to any of my many attempts to to get a warranty replacement for a miner they sent dead on arrival. It's been a week and a half and I haven't gotten as much as an acknowledgement of my emails, calls etc. Complete silence. Thanks for the link!

Will file small claims court case this week. Done my research already, seems easy enough.

4 hours is easy!

1. login
2. create a html file, put bitcointalk.org into iframe, auto refresh every minute with javascript.
3. go to bed
4. profit $$$

Good idea!
Just paste the following into a text file, save with extension .html in the file name, load the file into a browser, continue with step 3. above.
Code:

Getting 4 hours on BitcoinTalk

(No need for Javascript.)

Is it spam when you send it to a subforum apparently dedicated to collecting spam?
