Interesting.  ICOcountdown has saved many, including myself, from investing from total scam ICOs - who knows how much money.  I like your work and wish you luck.

I just saw this post by chance! I can confirm ICOcountdown has saved many people from scams! We all have to be greatful  that there are people out there who cares about other people like ICOcountdown. I am glad you are doing this as we need more people like you! Thanks

STFU dumbass, he listed total scams for the longest time until his 'due diligence' finally figured out it was a scam, while he lead many others to lose thier bitcoins. Look at how he lists Agoras and Elastic project which are obvious scams, proably because they paid him for a listing. Stay away from icocountdown.com this fucker is a scammer!!!

I don't know if I understood your idea correctly but there is something called as slock.it which runs on blockchain and they have good IOt projects.A simple remotely controlled lock for example.Right now they haven't based bitcoins as their primary methods but yeah the underlying idea is still the same IE blockchain.

Slock.it is a pipe dream and will never work.

Who the hell would ever install a remote lock that requires ether to unlock it? You certianly wouldnt for a personal home lock, and no hotel would ever rent to an anonymous meth producer.

I'm not a legal expert but so far I haven't heard anyone clearly explain what sections of the agreement would grant microsofts rights to actual NEM code and why. Don't say you're not a legal expert so you shouldn't make assumptions. If you guys are all lawyers than explain some stuff to us and maybe we won't think you're paranoid anymore.

You guys just keep pointing out sections. Those sections don't sound problematic to most people because they only seem to entail the code we submit. Which again is very little and not at all related to actual code of NIS.

Anyway, we're never all going to agree so we might as well stop discussing it.

Looking at Bitcoin, it's very much an American coin, from Gavin to guys like Hearn [and their American VC/Bank/Corporate backers] to the head of the BTC foundation, Brock Pierce, all American guys and corporation.  Only the NSA/CIA are missing on their sponsor list which I'm sure are there [unofficially].

Nothing wrong with that but if you want a true international image and purpose then you should prove it.  How would Americans feel adopting a coin from Russia ran mostly by Russians?

So we need to bring in key individuals from China, Russia, UK, (of course America), Italy, etc., and maybe some crazy Romanian [if he doesn't go nitro].  lol

An additional way is to make ixc available to buy/trade globally so that means various crypto exchanges around the world, especially in China where the market is so massive.

Re: ETH price soaring. Are you going to move some BTC into ETH?

The hype is far from being finished. The price is resisting to the 0,03BTC cap. I still believe in a big resurgence in price after all the weak hands sold their precious ETH. I love how jealous people criticize Ethereum because they did not had their slice of the pie Cheesy !

Re: How to motivate women to use Bitcoin?

I think a good way to motivate women to use Bitcoin would be to make advertising that is attractive to women and to get many women to advertise it and pay them for doing so. Women love advertising and are more likely to use a product or service after it has been widely advertised.

Re: [DAO] Price Speculation

there is something I still don't get if someone could help me.

Once we have bought DAO, will we get rewards from all project that has been approved and are generating income that they are not willing to reinvest totally, or I am missing a step there?

We get a percentage of the fees collected. But we must first vote to release the collected fees, or keep them in a fund for reinvestment.

The issue is if you own DAO in your ETH wallet and do not vote , does the DAO get transferred back into ETH or stay as DAO TILL you want to vote or just keep it till the DAO price goes up another words are you FORCeD to vote i.e.:  yes or no , because I'm reading that if it's a NO the DAO gets changed back into ETH , or does it just stay connected as DAO to the ETH address you bought it with ,  what I'd I wanted to keep buying DAO and just keep it with out voting and in 2 years it will be worth more

If you vote no, but the vote passes, you are still part of the DAO and will go along with the passed proposal.

The only way you revert back to ETH is if you decide to 'split' from the DAO. If you decide not to vote, you will go along with the DAO whatever proposals they decide to pass.

Re: In 20 years, what would you like to do with your bitcoin?
by

In 20 years you could probably have option to receive your income in Bitcoins instead so no need to buy Bitcoins anymore and pay the exchange fees. But only if the Bitcoin price doesnt move +-25% in one month regularly, which is possible for Bitcoin to get much higher exchange volumes thus stability in 20 years than today.

Re: What is your plan to get rich with Bitcoin?
by
BitLoans
on 03/05/2016, 07:41:03 UTC
my plan is to earn bitcoin as much as i can in the first place. this earning will consist of signature campaign earning, and a couple of other micro jobs.

then my plan is investing theses earnings mostly in trading to earn more bitcoin.

and the final plan is to hold the bitcoin for the future when the price is high.

You can motivate them by selling famous clothes online, but the point is they only can pay with the bitcoin.
Believe me if they see some clothes they will be paying fast with the bitcoin, I'm sure of it.

Hard to say at this point, but I'd count on having to hold DAOs for about a year or so.

I agree, maybe longer. A lot of things have to happen from proposal acceptance, to execution to make this a success. Lots of risk, but the potential reward is huge.

Why not just give them Safeway gift cards if you're concerned about what they will spend it on?

Either way, they will just sell your QR code to buy drugs and alcohol. The idea will never work, sorry brah.

Re: Are you holding your bitcoin for a price increase?
by
BitLoans
on 02/05/2016, 08:37:03 UTC
Some of the posters in this topic have a misunderstanding of supply and demand. No way bitcoin reaches $1,000 with so many people waiting to dump coins on the open market. Everyone here is "holding" which means there are less bitcoin in circulation than have been created. This shortage of coins is still not creating a large enough supply issue to drive the price (demand) of the coin up. What do you think was driving this 3-4 day minor correction? The smart ones are dumping for $100 - $200 in profit per coin while the day dreamers hold out for $1000+.

Then again, it did triple in 6 months.

Re: How to motivate women to use Bitcoin?

One of the longest-standing questions in the Bitcoin community has been where the technology will take off first. Some have said that Bitcoin makes much more sense in the developing world, while others claim developed nations like the United States have the sort of tech savvy and wealthy population necessary to give this new technology a boost.

While it’s unclear where Bitcoin will find its place in the daily lives of an entire nation first, Snapcard Co-Founder and CEO Michael Dunworth seems convinced that there is plenty of potential for the peer-to-peer digital cash system in Brazil. In the past, other South American countries have been touted as locations where Bitcoin is booming without much evidence , but Dunworth has been working on the ground to help power a revolution in money and payments in Brazil.

The Snapcard CEO recently visited the Central Bank of Brazil and gave a presentation on Bitcoin and blockchain technology to officials from various government departments.

Bitcoin Magazine spoke with the Dunworth at last month’s Blockchain Agenda Conference in San Diego , and he shared some of the key reasons why, in his mind, Bitcoin simply makes sense for Brazil

What market cap will the DAO eventually achieve?

Whether we decide to go with Slock.it or another idea, I think we can eventually hit 200 million. But I cant vote in the poll.
