€500 makes a profitable BTC miner tough, electricity costs bite! Older S9s are good for learning, not profits. Try altcoin mining and swapping?? Cheap power helps.

Financial smarts aren't something you're born with, they come from your surroundings and habits. Kids who watch their parents budget, save, and make wise money moves just soak that up. Its less about being rich and more about the mindset. Good habits learned young can stick forever, but even if you didn't grow up with that, you can still pick it up later with the right influences.

Financial literacy is something anyone can build.  Wink

Bitcoins price in 2025, sell or buy?

BTC's taken a hit this year, down from its crazy high of $104k in 2024 to $91k now. With all the market swings, halving hype, and uncertainty, im wondering, should we be worried or is this just a normal dip?

Re: Will Governments Become the Biggest BTC Whales?
by
BitSean
on 03/03/2025, 07:01:58 UTC
Some governments (like El Salvador and Russia) are moving into bitcoin mining. If more nation-states accumulate BTC, what impact will this have on decentralization and price stability? Could this lead to geopolitical bitcoin wars?
It's wild to think about countries like El Salvador and Russia is jumping into bitcoin mining with state-backed efforts. I mean, if more nations get on this, it could really shake things up, potentially centralizing power and threatening bitcoin's whole decentralization vibe.

It might even tie BTC closer to global politics, which wouldn't be surprising if we start seeing some kind of "Bitcoin wars" between countries trying to accumulate as much as they can. It's definitely going to be fascinating to see how this plays out.

According to what i saw on X, Crypto wallets are reportedly being wiped out after using their Phantom or Trust Wallet browser to view porn. There is a reported exploit that is being used to target porn viewers.

Avoid your wallet being emptied in seconds by avoiding porn sites on your Wallet browser.
Let us be careful.
This kind of news is too old, lol! There are a lot of porn sites you can browse or even on Telegram, why you have to click a link comes from nowhere, total nonsense.

Re: Best ASICs for the Halving Era?
by
BitSean
on 28/02/2025, 00:35:38 UTC
No matter amount of Bitcoin mining reward, the short answer is always ASIC with best efficiency in terms of J/TH and good price/hashrate ratio.

I don’t think it is as simple as this.

Customers need to have a decent customer service/support if something goes wrong with the hardware and I don’t think there are many reputable brands around that provide it. Canaan used to be quite big I don’t know if they are still in business but Bitmain is pretty much the golden standard of crypto miners.

So instead of choosing a brand you never heard of before, OP you should go with a miner from Bitmain’s lineup imo. (Unless you are feeling adventurous)
I don't appreciate the short answer ABCbits gave, but anyway. Yeah! I think Bitmain's machines are still on my top choices. I don't want to be adventurous, I don't want to waste another dollar for a machine that will gave me profit for a short period of time KS0 Ultra. Such a waste lol!

This is just me but for 2025, the best mining machine depends on efficiency. S21 Pro for bitcoin, M60S is a good alternative. L9 for altcoins. I chose based on electricity costs.
S21 and L9 is one of my choices this 2025, I'm planning to add a few machines this year.

Bitcoin really does feel like the king of crypto. I've seen people lose hope in other coins, but Bitcoin keeps climbing in every bull season, and this one's no exception. I'm all in on it for the long haul.

I'm digging into Btc's next move too. With all the recent buzz around institutional interest and ETFs, it feels like prices might climb, but you know volatility's always lurking. Anyone notice any solid signals, like on-chain metrics or trading volume, that tell us if we should hang tight or cash out?  Huh

Re: Are you using AI on your blog?
by

on 26/02/2025, 08:02:47 UTC
AI has been a game changer for me, especially when it comes to writing blogs. I use it to refine my writing, correct grammar, and make my content more professional. It's efficient and a huge time saver. But unfortunately, not everyone on Bitcointalk sees it the same way. Many believe that relying on AI means you're not thinking for yourself even if you only want to make your words look more nice. Well, maybe they are too smart to ask AI to correct their grammar, but I hope they consider those who are not PROFICIENT in English.

Bitmain leads the ASIC market with years of experience, while MicroBTs WhatsMiner lineup and Icerivers altcoin mining are gaining traction. Post-halving profitability depends on power efficiency, and competition intensifies. Whats your pick for 2025?? Huh

My personal assistant, who is from the Philippines, frequently talks about how their government is constantly looking for more methods to tax different sectors of the economy, such as internet retailers and virtual assistants. It appears that they are now aiming to attract cryptocurrency investors merely because they are aware of the substantial profit potential. To be honest, I think it's irrational that they demand a cut even when investing in cryptocurrency requires utilizing your own funds. When they see large profits, it seems like they're squeezing people.

Yeah! The economy is shaky, but money is definitely still flowing somewhere. Tech, AI, and automation are booming. Of course, crypto mining is still making solid profits if you have the right setup and cheap electricity. The energy sector, especially renewables, is also on the rise.

Totally agree! Making small changes step by step is more effective than trying to quit everything at once. It gives you time to reflect and adjust along the way. Plus, slow progress tends to stick longer than sudden changes.

With $2000 a small solar setup is possible but mining time will be limited. If decentralization is your goal, go for it! Just watch the sunlight efficiency, battery storage and seasonal changes.

Timing Bitcoin is like trying to catch train that keeps speeding up, you either hop on now or watch it disappear into the distance. Fiat keeps losing value, and Bitcoin keeps providing doubters wrong. The real question isn't "How much time is left?" but "how much longer can you afford to wait?" Huh

Re: AI Taking Over Jobs?
by
BitSean
on 19/02/2025, 09:25:16 UTC
A friend of mine just lost her job as a graphic designer because the company switched to AI-generated designs to cut costs. It happened so fast, one month she was swamped with work, the next, she was let go. With AI evolving this quickly, which industries do you think are next to be replaced? It's sad and scary at the same time, maybe next year our plumber is AI robot. LOL!  Grin  Huh
Well if AI can really make the company successful then let them be but for sure sooner they will still look. For human in that job area.

But what I am looking now is an AI that can make me generate getting into trading and will make me an instant millionaire 😅

Is this really possible in any way soon?

Haha! If there was an AI that could instantly make us millionares, I'd be sipping cocktails on a private island instead of replying to this post! 😂
