If you have some money to spare and you don't have to pay too much for electricity I would buy some decent mining hardware at Ant Miners main website which is https://www.bitmain.com/

Wow, its amazing how many bitcoin companies there are out there now that are just frauds trying to steal peoples bitcoin. First it was a bitcoin generator, then a bitcoin mixer, and I didn't even know they were making fake exchanges too, wow... It's disgusting how many people would do something like that.

Haven't they ever heard of karma? Undecided

You just need to download the correct repository, it's not very hard. Just do a google search for "download bitcoin ubuntu repository" so that you are able to get bitcoin on Ubuntu.

Re: Is Bitcoin Doomed ?

Well, whatever has happened so far and recently it will not be doomed bitcoin because it is likely to be a more significant increase because with this incident at least they will choose other alternatives that are safer and can avoid the spread of the virus so it is very possible bitcoin became the main alternative for them for a transaction and other things.

Very good observating! That's so true. On top of what I said, what you said is even better. Why would they not want bitcoin when using physical currency involves hand-to-hand contact which could spread the virus, where actually contact is the only way to spread the virus, so using physical currency is the one thing people don't want to do, so how couldn't this all be helping bitcoin be a better currency? Of course it is!

Re: Can anyone identify which Script is this?

I believe that bitcoin website is using the coding language known as Laravel Framework, I am 99% sure of this as similar scripts (or same one) is using the same on CodeCanyon.com, and it's possible to be also using anything else with it. However the base of it, the core, is using Laravel, IMO. Definitely not any wordpress theme that's for sure... but Laravel is your best guess IMO.

Re: For demoted complainers (Copper Membership)

How much time does buying the membership reduce? Like right now its 360 seconds in between posts... what is it reduced to if purchasing this membership? Thank you.

I'm referring to the part in red bold.

Copper - 0.00454114 BTC: Allows you to post images even if you are a newbie, reduces the time-between-actions limit, and provides some of the same benefits as being of natural Member rank.

So does that include post time limit? If so, how much is it reduced to?

I've researched a few of these Testnet bitcoin faucets... literally the best bitcoin Testnet faucet I found gives only 0.017 at a time... but I think it used to give 0.1 in the recent past... but that seems to be no more... if anyone knows a better one please share it. Thank you!!

Re: Advice on Raspberry pi hardware for running full BTC node
by

on 21/03/2020, 19:09:51 UTC
Wouldnt you want to use a much faster hard drive to run bitcoin on such as a "Samsung 960 Pro NVMe M.2 SSD" or something of that speed? Or would that not be able to connect to the Rasberry Pi? You would think you would want something faster than 100mb/s though, especially for a public node... those usb thumb drives arent very fast...
