Good morning - I downloaded the most recent wallet (v. 1.1.0.12-g32a928e) yesterday afternoon
and it has been saying it is syncing ever since. I have no way of knowing what block its own or
what the progress is. Please help!

Should it really take 8+ hours to sync though? I've had the new wallet running since about 4pm
EST yesterday.
Really depends of your bandwidth. Mine too about 6-7 hours.

Mining darkcoin to save energy and buying vert. I get about 10 vert/day before, now I get about .8 dark/day with the same hardware. Room feels alot cooler.

man...its kind of embarrassing to be part of this thread. The devs have been on top of their game every day, consistantly working hard, coding, bringing us updates, proving the FUD wrong, answering questions....and 24 hours can't go by without everyone losing their shit turning on each other, name calling and jumping ship? I'd say the devs so far have given us every reason to trust them. Give them the benefit of the doubt, stop quoting and arguing with trolls, drink a beer or 10. Be patient and relax.
If you dont trust the devs, then sell your coins and move on...buy back later if you want. If you do trust them and still have faith then quit being so dramatic, hold your coins and ride the tide. What is so hard about that?

If you don't believe in this coin, you've warned us and we appreciate it. We "bagholders" knew what we were getting ourselves into and the risk involved (at least should of). Please just let us discuss in peace ways we can savage or recover from the current situation. All this name calling is not helping anyone.

Judge is megaman. It took exactly the time to write the message from megaman from the time I called out Judge that he was megaman. Shoulda waited twenty minutes.
Judgecrypto was a huge supporter of this coin, sadly I believe he's just disillusioned by it for now. Hopefully the coin will redeem itself and he'll come back.
Yeh he was... then turned on it right when megaman seemed to be nonexistant. And continued ragging on it after he publicly sold his coins.. with a strange link to a mintpal transaction that showed mintpal was experiencing errors on withdrawls.. Then I call him out and poof! Here comes megaman to support that judge isnt him.. Quite amazing.
Arteleis, I don't need to defend myself to you. I probably have given away more silk coin than you even own. I put a lot of time into this project... A LOT... so you can shove your attitude up your ass.
By the way, you're wallet shows that you never gave away any silk. Suppose you have a few of them then? Please post all your wallet addresses for everyone to see. And while you're at it please provide all your detailed personal information so we can all verify who you are.

What is the next step in Silk coins Marketing campaign? The voting and Oculus both did great.
There's something in the works, but it's too early to release at the moment
Is there a donation address we can help with the promotions? I'm a pretty heavy investor and would love to contribute a little funding to help promote this coin.

On other news, seeing the last nights dumps we will try to include the built-in exchanger in tomorrow's update to boost up confidence a bit in the market.
More updates! Don't think there's a current coin with a bunch of more active DEVs and kept promises than this one!

That's the thing, nothing happened. Seemed like people just started panic selling because the white paper was not formatted up to their standards or something. The concept is still amazing and as of now, there's been no criticism of the technology behind the white paper. The price just didn't shoot to the moon as some people expected and someone started a panic selling.

Maybe it would be a good time to start new topic when Silkcoin reach 10th on Mintpal . I mean selfmoderated one. We will attract more trolls and jealous people. It is inevitable and I for one would like to reduce the toxicity 
I think we'll lose a lot of momentum if we do that. A prime example is BlackCoin which was getting close to 2000 posts per week before they switched threads and now after a month they've accumulated only 4000 posts. It fractures the community to some extent when switching threads. He has a good point...
