Re: Is Gambling addiction a disease?

to ban something does not work. even in prisons are the drugs for example.
think it should be classified as a disease, such as alcoholism, and that there should be support to get.

think they will stand up well against Monero and that investments will increase.

absolutely, SD will not lose any of Monero. They will continue slowly but steadily upward. Feels good to be invested in SD

Hi I have recently invested in the bankroll - is their 2FA on Satoshi Dice?

Can't seem to find it if there is

There's currently no 2FA but we are working on adding it!

As an incentive, I'll certainly add more to the bankroll if you do add 2FA to the site. I'm sure many others will too... (No rush though, best to make sure its secure and tested well)
This is the main purpose of having such security measures in place like 2FA because people hold a lot of money, in this case bitcoin, in their accounts and don't want them comprised in the slightest.
God forbid if someone just used a password generator and got luckly on one poor soul's account.

and SD is so large and well known that it is pulling many hackers to try their luck, so if you only need a password it is only a matter of time before someone succeeds.

Indeed, I'm not investing a huge amount in SD due to the risk, my passwords are very secure - but you can never 100% trust server security even if the passwords are hashed

SD does not have that much of coins in their hotwallet makes it pretty safe with major investments. no one can take out larger sums of coins without SD must manually fill hotwallet and it becomes an additional control.

I'm not sure if the dev is aware of LIR - its planned to release in December and gathering big momentum/hype in the community. There might be a risk to lose a lot of customers if SD stays unstable and the project delivers what they are promising (and doesn't turn out to be a scam). Prolonged stability followed by a sig campaign would help cement SD reduce any risk. Stability has been a bit better the last few days, so lets hope they can keep it up =)

LIR is a good idea. Rubies is similar to LIR but i feel that it is too limited and most of the rubies are being under control of betterbets. There is why when i heard of rubies being added to moneypot, i am not too excited. However, for LIR, i think so far it is having a good start. I think once the site start to open to the public, we can even a strong growth in LIR and this can be a good alt coin to be use as gambling currency.

Will be interesting to see what happens. I've invested into LIR but didn't touch Rubies. I still see LIR as a bigger risk than SD, but also better rewards if it pays off. So keeping invested into both platforms, there is certainly space for both to do well.

a good opportunity to spread the risk on investment. Would never withdraw what I have invested in SD. looking at LIR more as a supplement.

SatoshiDICE.com is well known, if they would scam people, there would be an outrage!

On different PC's / ISP / VPN / Devices no matter what it shows the exact same non updated thing..
