I guess within 48 hours I'll be able to tell you if the sites a scam or not. I would like to know the secret behind it, maybe if they PM'ed me some details I'd keep it a secret, and would vouch for it if it was legit or not.

It obviously IS either a pyramid, or a scam. If you could double money like that, then why don't you double your own ? (because it works only 50% of the time, right)
