Paypal is the direct competitor of Bitcoin so not a chance in hell. Bitcoin is designed to be peer-to-peer effectively making PayPal services absolutely redundant if it became mainstream.

There are always going to be dips but as history this year has shown that there will be big growth through the altcoin community. Stats don't lie. Be patient, they will recover. They always do. Just make sure you diversify as much as possible.

Consider the stability of Ethereum, so I would stick with that.

ICOs are good providing the time between investing and release of coins is minimal, some ICOs are too long between investment and release. It always is a bit skeptical when they release them to long. Testing or not.

still testnet for mining?

testnet until 2018, perhaps main-net in 2019, but never mind exchanges will run the ICO to the moon

nobody cares about software anymore, BITCOIN-GOLD can run as a futures-coin to $1Million USD

Test net for a year? Surely not?

Lots of pools and servers have been down today due to power problem on a EU server.
Try switching your pool proxy from eu1. to us1. for the time being. That should sort it.

My rigs are all sorted now on the EU servers. Ethermine, Nanopool and Minerpool. Maybe double check yours.

Hello, nice hash software is a very good soft despite all that I can hear.Fait you your own opinion.By cons it consumes much more electricity than claymore optimized .750w 6 cards (claymore) 1050 w 6 cards nicehash: ( have a nice day

1050/750 = 40% increase in power required.
If what you're saying is correct then unless you're hashrate has increased by 40% it is not worth the switch.

Gen 1 is back up, need Gen 2 also for it to work.
So many websites and servers are still down.

nothing is back up for me... wondering what kind of gen(erator) they're using...

Wouldn't surprise me!

If anyone is using ethermine pools, change you pool directories from eu1. to us1. It will be fine for the time being! Just changed mine.

Z170A mobos are known to not do well with high numbers of GPUs.
Increase the ram, increase the PSU W and switch over to Linux.

Don't mine on laptop, Save the money you would spent on the electricity bills that would of mined and attained peanuts on actual coins from the exchange.

Re: How bad is breathing in air from GPU's?
by
BitcoinDiamond
on 08/11/2017, 16:03:15 UTC
If you live in a city, the air outside is way more toxic than any mining rigs. All your rigs are doing is circulating and heating up the air already in your rooms, dust may heat up too but you breathe that in every time so.

Don't worry about it! As long you're not got a breathing aide connected to the rigs I think you'll be fine. Just remember to open the windows and let some fresh air in from time to time.

Re: 12 GPU mining rig, issue with PSU
by
BitcoinDiamond
on 08/11/2017, 15:48:12 UTC
Questions:

What's your RAM and Virtual memory?

I think you have a few problems.

My guess is that you shouldn't have three separate PSUs as this can trip the mobo. That and the power you have doesn't sound like you have enough power. I have 4/5 GPU's to 1200W normally to be on the safe side.

And there may be an issue with your GPUs because you have both NVIDIA and AMD GPUs which are completely different. Not saying that they won't work together but they can cause issues.
