Re: 1 BTC > 6000000 INR

I wish I had purchased more bitcoin earlier. I wouldn't have to take out a loan to pay for my apartment. I believe a lot of us have done similar mistakes in their life and still have to work in a corporate to make the ends meet. Honestly, I had all the chance to become a billionaire today, I repeat - billionaire!

But my mind didn't allow me to invest hard earned money into a new asset called Bitcoin. Big regret of my life!

It would take ~10k Bitcoins to be a Billionaire today. But, it would take ~10 Bitcoins to be a Millionaire. So, are you a Millionaire NOW?

Since we have very less active participants in our board, we will be rolling the block early this time.

Block #810,525 will determine the winner
How? What if the last digit is 6/7/d/e? Don't think you should have hurried to end this raffle. Leave it as is to be filled up organically. Whatever time it may take...

Unfortunately, the raffle ticket is provided only for active participants in the recent months. Hence you can participate the next time  Smiley
No problem for dismissing my entry. Saw it laying abandoned for long. Hence chimed in. You are doing a great job. Hope you keep it up. Smiley

By the way, did you know that if you create a channel on our platform (it's like creating your own server in Discord), our ecosystem will pay you from $0.3 to $1 for each active member of your community.

How? Who pays you?

Also, do you run any P2P exchange that supports INR to Crypto conversion and vice-versa?

So, I had this domain BitcoinExchangeIndia.com, sitting idle for long. Thought of putting it up for some use. Currently, it is showing...

1. Bitcoin Exchange Rate in India against INR.

2. Bitcoin price in INR on this day.

Let me know if it is useful and feel free to suggest improvement.

Today, Union Minister of State for Finance & Corporate Affairs, India, Mr. Anurag Thakur, spoke about CryptoCurrency in Rajya Sabha.

Thanks for the link. Apart from this, is there any other update directly from government? All I can see on media is rumor spread by confidential sources.

Re: India makes ownership of Bitcoin criminal offense - How to respond?
by

on 02/02/2021, 17:14:20 UTC
A few days back, the Indian government announced that they will ban the usage of cryptocurrency in India. The bill is currently in queue to be presented during the budget session (which started today).

Thread title is overtly sensationalized. India has not made ownership of Bitcoin a criminal offense yet. We do not the final form of the bill yet. Whole industry is eagerly waiting to know the final form of this bill.

It seems that there won't be an outright ban on crypto, including BTC. Rather, they will "take all measures to eliminate use of these crypto-assets in financing illegitimate activities or as part of the payment system". I hope that means trading will still be legal in India. However their minds seem to be changing every second and they can't seem to have made up their minds/come to any conclusion.

There is no certainty that all parts of the government functionary will be equally aware of a bill that is going to be tabled in future. These answers are based on existing rules & regulations.

Re: What was the practical ATH of BTC against INR?
by
BitcoinExchangeIndia.com
on 24/11/2020, 17:27:29 UTC
Meanwhile right from the beginning of December 2017, I was watching bitcoin prices every now and then and I believe 15,70,000 INR was the ATH price I have seen as far as I remember. I think I saw this price in random newspaper clipping and suddenly logged into Unocoin to learn about trading.

I don't really remember the date at which I have seen this price but it was a December 2017 Sunday for sure. That motivated me to learn more about bitcoin and evening of that day, I eventually found bitcointalk through a medium post and that night I started my journey deep inside the rabbit hole  Grin

P.S Still searching for the medium post which made me to register onto bitcointalk  Huh
Are you sure that it crossed 15L INR?

Naimish also recently tweeted that it was around 14.45L INR - https://twitter.com/ThatNaimish/status/1328930296608157696.

Today's CoinCrunch article is claiming that ATH has already been hit in terms of INR - https://coincrunch.in/2020/11/24/bitcoin-all-time-high-india/.

I do remember BTC to be traded over 12L INR at LocalBitcoins.com on December 2017. But, what was the highest value against INR that BTC has ever received on any exchange? Did it touch 13L INR on any exchange?

Please note that, I am not asking the INR equivalent of USD rate.

Wow, update this thread after a long time.

Yes, but the list contains only a very small part of the existing exchanges. It would make sense to expand the thread to cover all large and medium sized crypto exchanges, i.e. that have at least one million trading volumes per day.

Thanks for your feedback. Please list exchanges that are to be added/removed. I'll update OP accordingly.

Re: India may again ban cryptocurrency
by

This does not look good for crypto companies and projects that have been set up in India. Currently, WaxirX is dominating the entire country of India on its exchange services. With this bill being proposed it will really dwindle the efforts of crypto enthusiasts who are trying to expand the mass adoption of cryptocurrencies in there.
Because of regulatory uncertainties, some dreams were dead even before they were born.
