all the altcoins dump whenever bitcoin goes down even a little.

with ETH fork there is also a high chance of bigger dumps since they already finished the pre-fork pump.

the giveaway threads are posted in games and rounds board but the sticky there says that if your payment is in altcoins you have to post it in Bounties (Altcoins) board[3].

Re: Bitcoin and the failure of El Salvador
by

1 year is so short for HODLERs, bitcoin has been around for 13 years and it hasn't reached mass adoption anywhere so we shouldn't expect it to reach mass adoption in el Salvador just because it is legal tender there.

It's pretty obvious that whales are trading btc for eth in order to begin a large pump and dump run ahead of the Ethereum upgrade/merge news.  Roll Eyes

could you explain how it is "obvious" since the charts are telling a different story:

if they were buying shethereum with bitcoin then ETH price should have gone up against bitcoin not down.

Re: Terra Luna Classic pumping - can it last?
by

you answered your own question in the title. if it is "pumping" that means it is not possible to predict how much or how long it is going to "pump" because by nature it is a fake rise that only depends on luck and how much money the pumpers behind it have in their pockets and are willing to waste on the shitcoin.

generally the safest thing to do is to jump off the pumping train as soon as it starts slowing down.

The world is rapidly divided into two parts. The first one is the free world and the second one is ruled by the US cowboys. The free world is starting to create its own supply chains and its own free markets where national fiat currencies are equal. Bitcoin will be the international currency of the free world.

i'm not so sure about that. one cowboy is replaced by another eventually, maybe bearboys or dogboys this time.

bitcoin remains the international money for the free people, like before.

Re: Why do you think bear market is affecting Bitcoin (Crypto currencies) so badly
by
BitcoinHodler
on 03/09/2022, 15:29:46 UTC
it is funny when you see some people (in general, not talking about OP) insist that bitcoin can not be used as a currency because its price is too volatile and as soon as the price becomes stable (like the past 3 months) they forget what they said and start complaining about why price is not going up and call the stable price a bear market.

Re: If Bitcoin Follows Previous Cycle
by

the last cycle was cut short so we can't really talk about following the previous cycle anymore since i don't think the cycle thing is even a trend that bitcoin is going to follow.

there is a third option too which is bitcoin goes up and down like many times before.
we could see $25k and a struggle to break that.
then we could see price fall down to $20k again and struggle to break that too.
then we see rise again to $25k to repeat the same thing.

Re: Is the future of Bitcoin uncertain?

my elder brother said that after 2025 Bitcoin will not exist anymore and will be completely dead.

if you look at the media over the past 13 years you can see that people have been repeating this same FUD from early years. they just change the death year. at some point they said when reward halves from 50 to 25 it will die but bitcoin is still alive and getting stronger even though reward is 6.25!!!

you should stay far away from those who claim they were right about a random prediction like the "top" because such people are scammers who have no understanding of the market. their success was out of pure luck and their claims about being "correct" is purely to gain more followers whom they can scam.

Re: Bitcoin Hodlers are actively buying bitcoin these days
by

This is not what it shows. This image shows the number of addresses that have a balance greater than 1 BTC. This, by no means, should be translated to "people who now own > 1 BTC".

you didn't get the point.
the point wasn't to figure out the exact number of people who own 1 whole bitcoin. the point was the increase itself and this chart shows it very well.

at all times there are people who split their coins among multiple addresses but their numbers don't change that much, when we the slope of this chart increases it shows more people are reaching that target instead of more people splitting their coins among multiple addresses.

If anyone is buying now, they should know that the price may still fall but they should continue to hold until they make profit and they should consider this as a long term investment.

people who buy bitcoin should never get greedy and think about possibility of a bigger drop. bitcoin history has proven that those who are greedy like this (wait for an even bigger drop to start buying) are taking a much bigger risk and usually are left behind when the reversal occurs.

the best strategy in bitcoin is to buy whenever there is a significant dip while ignoring other possibilities. specially if the price is still above a very strong support such as $20k

in any case the next target after having 1 whole bitcoin could be to become one in a million (meaning to own 21 bitcoin).

the blockchain analysis shows that a lot of bitcoin hodlers are actively buying bitcoin and increasing their wealth by taking advantage of the current discount offered to them by the weak hands and their panic sells.
as we can see here the number of addresses that are holding more than 1 bitcoin is significantly increasing which shows how people who were struggling to reach 1BTC target are succeeding these days and are even surpassing that target heading to the next one.

Re: I stake most of my USDT, it is better to leave it as USDT or change it to USDC ?
by

the best option is always going to be either holding USD (the real dollar) or bitcoin. that is because any altcoin like USDT can be dumped at any point like Luna even if they promise to never dump and remain stable.
don't forget that TETHER is run by a very shady company.

in my experience the only reason for the current drop is only fear and nothing else.
we had price not being able to go above $70k a couple of months ago and then it fell down. ever since then it hasn't been able to reverse back up and people became convinced that the drop is the repetition of previous drops such as the one we had in 2018 so it should be long and big like that one. with the world economy mainly in US and Europe crashing hard we have an additional fear in bitcoin world.
the result of all of this is the crash we are seeing.

to be honest i don't see this as a positive news at all because it looks like they are trying to advertise themselves so that they can sell their NFT token and make as much money as they can.
