Mining Crypto-Currency Bitcoin, Ether and Altcoin, Legal Advice from Lawyers

More and more popular, crypto-currencies such as Bitcoin and Ether are frequently the headlines of economic news and their price is more and more interesting.

In this perspective, many entrepreneurs decide to embark on the “mining” of cryptocurrency.

In order to set up a cryptocurrency mining business, a contractor will not only have to secure many technical elements, such as the price of electricity, but also ensure legal, tax and regulatory compliance .

In particular, it is recommended to consult a lawyer familiar with the crypto laws, so that it can advise on the following:

The analysis of your current situation,
Compliance exam in corporate law and commercial law advice (shareholder agreement, employment contract, space rental)
The tax analysis of the company and the tax optimization for the shareholder (s),
Review of the Canadian and Quebec Regulation (FINTRAC and AMF)
Review of anti-money laundering legislation and determination of required licenses, if any.

Our canadian law firm offers an all-inclusive solution for startup companies in cryptocurrency mining to identify important points and ensure tax, legal and regulatory compliance

Canada 2018 tax return for crypto incomes
by
BitcoinLaws
on 30/12/2017, 20:24:34 UTC
As part of the 2018 tax season, our law and tax firm provides expertise for investors and traders in crypto currencies, as part of the preparation of their tax return for Revenue Canada and Revenu Québec.

Although the canadian tax legislation is relatively silent on the issue of cryptocurrency, the fact remains that income, profits (or losses) must be recorded in your annual taxes.

As such, there are several elements that must be taken into consideration to determine whether there is business income or capital gain. In addition, in certain cases, eligible expenses may be claimed.

Screw is the third party person that holds  the funds from the two parties involves in a transaction. In screw the fund from the two parties for the transaction will be safe without losing it until the transaction done.

It's 'escrow' mate.

See here a good example of what an escrow can do.

Stop promoting your service throughout the entire forum, your website isn't even professional and it's just a plain one that doesn't contain any legal matters. And we don't even know if you are the person on that picture.

You've been spamming the forum with that website together with the other one, stop it.

Where are you located ? Why don't come to my office and have a coffee ? You will see that I am the guy on the picture....

So far, any type of ICO/real estate I saw was pure scam... stay away. You don't need a ICO to invest in real estate. Talk to your local commercial broker, in you your area.

Re: How much interest is reasonable for you?

You people are ridiculous thinking about how much "interest" to get on your bitcoins.  They've climbed 50% in value in the last 30 days and you think somebody can afford to pay interest on top of that?!  You'll be lucky to get back your coins at all if you lend them out in this climate.

I agree, 110%

As rule of thumb, any investment should be done in the very same way...crypto or fiat.

First get to know who is behind. Who is the team ? What is their proven track records ?

What are they promoting ? Do they have any relevant financial figures to support the interest offered ?

Do you see any reasonable expectation of profit ? What control do you get on your investment ? Any Regulators bodies behind this investment ? Who will you complaint to, is you get screwed ?

On a Canadian legal perspectives, I don't think this could work properly. Even if a startup use your exchange for selling ICO token, they will always need compliance from Regulators...

www.btc.legal
www.bitcoin-law.ca

What we do :

•   We conduct compliance and KYC /AML policies;
•   We do escrow both for Crypto / Fiat, according to legal Canadian standards;
•   We help both parties to achieve a valuable trade, in a private and professional manner;

What we don’t :

•   We do not trade in cash;
•   We do not provide any financial advise or money investment plans;
•   We do not make loans;

We’re a brick and mortar law office, with nearly 30 years of expertise in escrow services ! Long before the very fist BTC was mined, we were already doing escrow.

If you are in Montreal, please pay us a visit. We are located on St-Pierre street in Old Montreal and this is a very beautiful place.
