Re: [FOR SALE] Mystery .9999 GOLD Bitcoin Coining Dies
by
BitcoinPenny
on 13/06/2025, 17:34:01 UTC
please tell me these will get the cross thru them like the others so people are not "remaking" your coins.

Thanks for the question, Mopar. It's a legitimate concern for many people.

In the collectible coin dies market, there are a few different ways to go about defacing / collecting retired coin dies. The first, and most valued, is the non-defaced coin die. Next in value is the precision-marked coin die, such as the "X" on our own dies or a simple "/" (slash or half-X). These types of defacing keep almost all the design intact and legible. (After all, as collectors, we like to marvel at the designs on our prized collectibles.) Then there are a few other methods such as melting or grinding away the whole face or at least a large part (most often 80% or more).

As for these particular dies, I am happy to have them defaced upon request for an additional charge. Otherwise, I would trust the next owner to display them however they'd prefer (intact or defaced).

Thanks again.

Regards,
Chris

[FOR SALE] Mystery .9999 GOLD Bitcoin Coining Dies
by
BitcoinPenny
on 13/06/2025, 15:29:06 UTC
For sale is a set of mystery bitcoin coin dies that I acquired for my private collection some time ago.

2018 Unknown Bitcoin .9999 GOLD Die Set
The size of the die faces suggest these were made to mint fractional gold coins such as 1/10th ozt or 5 gram.
The obverse die features the standard bitcoin B-symbol over a faux circuit board.
The reverse dies features a more complex circuit board design with the marks 9999 GOLD (unclear text) 2018.
The unclear text reads like JOBY or JOEY or JOBV or something like that.
The reverse design STRONGLY (98%) resembles the famous gold coins from MJB, especially the 5g gold coins from 2021. However, these unknown dies were made in 2018, so who knows?

Price for the set of two (2) dies is only $200 USD or the crypto equivalent.

Please feel free to ask questions. Happiness guaranteed.

Regards,
Chris

(NOTE: The image above has been flipped horizontally to allow the engraved text to read as it would on the original minted gold coins.)

A Few More Collectibles | Polymerbit & Kialara
by
BitcoinPenny
on 13/06/2025, 15:23:03 UTC
This lot of collectibles includes some very cool "paper" cold wallets.

Polymerbit Creative / Custom Edition Note
Made by Polymerbit, LTD as a special “April Fool’s Day” release.
Officially released on April 1, 2018.
Only 50 were ever printed and released to the public.
Originally available only on Polymerbit website and only for one day. (Sold out immediately.)
Serial numbers available: A00020 and A00022.
Condition of both notes is PRISTINE / MINT / UNCIRCULATED.
Both notes have been safely stored in protective sleeves for the last seven years.
Each note comes inside its own storage sleeve with original Polymerbit brand custom tamper-evident holographic security sticker to cover private keys once funded (if you so choose).
Originally, these unique notes were intended for Polymerbit customers to draw / color their own personal designs. Those designs were then submitted into a design contest, and the winner with the best designed note would win a $100 Polymerbit gift card. While only 50 of these notes were ever printed, they are already extremely rare. However, since many of those 50 notes were drawn / colored upon for the contest, it’s almost impossible to find one of these notes still in its original blank white condition.

2024 Kialara Rare "Steak" Note (Altered / Modified USD $1 Bill)
Specially made by Kialara in the run-up to his most recent release called "Rare."
"Rare" is the 1/1 platinum, diamond, and ruby gemstone "steak" that he made as a tribute to the famed Fabergé eggs.
It was auctioned at the last Bitcoin Conference for a final winning bid of 5.1 BTC (or ~$540,000 USD.)
This particular collectible note was a promotional item intended to create buzz around the main platinum and jeweled 1/1 release.
This note has been factory-funded by Kialara to hold 1,600 satoshi (in addition to its inherent $1 USD value).
Condition of this note is PRISTINE / MINT / UNCIRCULATED.
Each note comes inside its own storage sleeve.

Receive all three (3) notes for only $600 USD or the crypto equivalent.

Please feel free to ask questions. Happiness guaranteed.

Regards,
Chris

[FOR SALE] Bitcoin Penny® 2019 "In Memory of Zepher" Coin Dies Lot
by
BitcoinPenny
on 29/05/2025, 19:10:11 UTC
Up for sale is a very special coin die set, especially within this BitcoinTalk community. In 2019, a beloved member of this forum passed away. Many of you knew him as Zepher. Shortly after his passing, The Bitcoin Penny Company released a special limited edition copper penny which we distributed for free to fellow forum members.

This listing is for the retired (X) set of official coining dies used for this special memorial release. Included with this coin die set is one of those memorial coins, safe inside an ICG holder with the appropriate grade of LEGEND and a message reading "You Are Missed My Friend".

The price for this collection is $550 USD.

I was cleaning out the office recently, and I gathered a lot of extra collectibles that someone may like to add to their own collection. This listing is for the entire lot of goodies.

As for the price, I'm only asking what I believe was paid in the original USD value, which is approximately $210. No price increases or premiums due to rarity or current market values. Simply what I originally paid.

Please feel free to ask questions or make offers. Happiness guaranteed.

Re: Who doesn't LOVE errors?!?

(I read somewhere that Bitcoin Penny® is the only company to ever release a platinum crypto coin. If that's true, then here's your chance to own the only ERROR die set from that rare collection!)

That would be wrong if you read that so I’ll take the time to correct you (you weren’t even the first to do it). I released a 4oz platinum round more than 7 years ago. While yours are no doubt cute pieces, saying they are the only released platinum “crypto” coins (don’t let the maxis see you call it that) would not be accurate.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4892746.0

Thanks for the correction. BTW, who else released a platinum coin? I'd love to know for our records, since we may still have been the first. Smiley

Who doesn't LOVE errors?!?
by
BitcoinPenny
on 06/05/2025, 19:52:49 UTC
Who doesn't LOVE errors?!? Shocked Here we have two different sets of ERROR coin dies available for your personal crypto-collection!

The first error set is from our 2018 Platinum coins. (I read somewhere that Bitcoin Penny® is the only company to ever release a platinum crypto coin. If that's true, then here's your chance to own the only ERROR die set from that rare collection!) These coin dies were meant to be made in the smaller 20mm size which is reserved for gold and platinum coins. However, the mint accidentally made these in the larger 25mm size which is typically reserved for silver coins. Fortunately, they allowed us to keep them. Now we pass them on to you. (NOTE: This set includes the two dies as pictured.)

The next and last set of error dies is from our 2019 Gold coins. Like the platinum dies above, these were meant to be made in the smaller 20mm size. Again, the mint accidentally made these in the larger 25mm size. And also available for purchase and inclusion into your private collection of crypto rarities. (NOTE: This set includes the three dies as pictured.)

Please feel free to inquire about owning these unique die sets. And check out our website for more rare and interesting Bitcoin Penny® retired coin dies!

Thanks for all the advice, everyone! I reached out to the eBay seller as suggested, and he seemed very friendly. Unfortunately, after several exchanges, I am still unable to discover how he came to possess this retired Bitcoin Penny® coin die. He did mention that shipping companies will often sell goods from their lost and found archives in bulk lots, but he didn't confirm that is how he came to possess this die, only that he purchased it "legally" through a "vendor." I asked if he would mind revealing in which state the vendor does business, because that might tell me where along the delivery journey the dies were lost. Unfortunately, again, he refused to answer. Oh, well. I'm happy to see that someone here purchased it from the eBay seller. It should make one helluva cool collectible! (Congratulations to its new owner!)

Visit our website (BitcoinPenny.com) for more information about these and other Bitcoin Penny® brand collectibles.

Great find, Geo! Shocked

This is not a mystery game. Those six coin dies really went missing from a UPS truck delivery. (I may have embellished on the idea of "long and lonesome stretch of deserted highway," but the rest is 100% true.) The shipping box really did burst open during transit, and six of the retired coin dies really did go missing.

According to that eBay listing, the seller is located in Missouri. (Do they have long and lonesome stretches of deserted highway in Missouri?) Maybe the rest of the coin dies are in the same area? Or maybe the seller has more than the one die? I'd love to know the story on how he acquired it! (However, I won't say a word to him, in case one of you wish to buy it from him.)

In the meantime, the special MISSING COAs are made and ready to ship to anyone who gets hold of one of these legendary missing dies, and I'm absolutely thrilled that one has been found! (Thanks again, Geo!)

Good luck, everyone!

Chris@TBPCO
