Apparently there is no filtering on the intake air, so when it rains I guess the water droplets just get sucked in by the wind.
You should have three things on your intake side. A weather hood is needed to prevent the rain pouring down. You will also need what's called a metal pre-filter or mist catcher so that the velocity of the air doesnt pull in water. The mist catcher is also good for humid climates. And then of course your regular paper filter after the pre-filter.

100 works well like said above. Because miners are chatty, you just need good gear that can deal with a ton of packets per second. This is because when miners submit packets of data, they barely fill each one as they are sent out.

looks nice on first glance, but still >12 Month ROI, so the RISK is very high that you not even make your Invest back.

I agree with you on the >12 being less than ideal. Unfortunately most of the new miners on the market have multi-year ROIs right now. There are benefits however for purchasing miners while they are less expensive now rather than later.
If someone were to do their own facility and had access to low cost power (assuming today's market payout rates with a constant diff.):
- Bitmain S15 @ $1,020 @ $0.05/kWh = 1.2 years (not including shipping and taxes, insurance, security, internet, cost of facility, operational, exhaust fan power, etc.)
- INNOSILICON Terminator3-43T @ $2,279 @ $0.05/kWh = 1.6 years (not including shipping and taxes, insurance, security, internet, cost of facility, operational, exhaust fan power, etc.)
- Bitmain DR5 @ $1,282 @ $0.05/kWh = ~1 year (not including shipping and taxes, insurance, security, internet, cost of facility, operational, exhaust fan power, etc.)
- ASICminer Zeon @ $9,500 @ $0.05/kWh = 1.6 years (not including shipping and taxes, insurance, security, internet, cost of facility, operational, exhaust fan power, etc.)
When compared to this package offered:
SPx36 12-Month Package @ $86,960 = ~ 1 year (includes everything + is hosted and managed for you)
The Sia miners are an exception, however it was only because of the manipulation by the hard fork. Their difficulty should be increasing by 300% within a couple months with their new miners coming out in March.
One of the benefits of the SPx36 is that they are on a small limited production each month as they are not large scale manufactured like Bitmain miners. Because they are using the latest chips for their miners, they have created a barrier to entry for other manufacturers to enter X11 (or at least have the incentive to). In my opinion I believe that when crypto prices begin to increase, these miners will be the most difficult to grab since they have no other competition on the X11. In other words, these might have the lowest depreciation risk, and yield the most per $ in the future.

Our power is not 0.09. The example above refers to a typical end user trying to do their own farm. Most large scale mining farms get around 4.5 to 5.5. There are very few that have access to the 3 to 4 cent delivered rate.
Thank you NewBlock for your feedback. While we would love to give prices 40% below our current, that is simply not possible. In fact I would strongly advise anyone to double and triple check any hosting or colocation company for fraud that is offering that low of pricing.
Hosting companies allow miners to save the substantial initial outlay cost of building their own facility. If you were to lease a cheap warehouse and build a small 500 kVa set up, you'd spend over $150,000 on the build and $1,800 a month in rent. Furthermore, you would need to show substantial credit and a history of usage to obtain cheap electricity pricing from a supplier. Without that, you will be spending 9 cents per/kWh easily for commercial (price from supplier + utility distribution charge). You will then need to have someone staffed to tend to the facility and fulfill repairs or warranty shipments to the manufacturer. You will also need to have insurance, security systems, and storage of maintenance supplies.
Besides the fact that you are now exposed to substantial risk for signing a 5 year lease on a building, your price per kWh would look something like this:
(assuming 500kVa load or 350 S9s)
Assuming you built your facility correctly and designed for proper airflow and network efficiencies..
1. 0.09/kWh from energy supplier and distribution
2. 0.00469/kWh for rent expense
3. 0.013/kWh for operational labor (assumes one person for this one specific operation - cost here is lower when you have a larger facility)
4. 0.000956/kWh for internet, security, and insurance
5. 0.013/kWh for buildout repayment of investment (assuming expensing depreciation over 3 years)
When calculated, doing the above would run you around 12.2 cents per kWh on average from an operational cost analysis prospective. This does not include many other expenses involved. You would also be exposed to substantial risk as you will have to ensure the miners you purchased will last you for years, or make sure you have the capital to reinvest in new miners. You would have to make sure you can mine for the duration of the 5 year lease agreement, or at least over the buildout expense depreciation period you chose.
When you host with a hosting company, you are receiving more than just electricity. You are paying for a service and the ability to not be bound to a large capital investment on a buildout. You are relieving yourself from the headaches of designing a proper facility that will work and last. Our prices include everything mentioned above plus more, and is still much less per/kWh.
What we offer is a full hosting service, which is different than simply putting miners on a shelf and leaving them unattended. We employ a team of engineers and technicians to monitor and manage the ongoing health of the servers located with us.
Other hosting companies which may actually only identify as a "colocation" business, will simply only put your miner on a shelf with an ethernet connection a power cord. If it doesn't hash they won't know about it and probably won't care. Their obligation is to power and serve it internet. If the miner is at "fault", it is not their obligation to make sure it works. These companies that charge much less for these services are typically the ones that do this. Many people are left with contract terms of miners that are sitting on shelves frozen and not mining.

We have worked with Spondoolies to further decrease the price of the packages by $5,000 to promote a higher mining ROI. These packages produce the highest returns available on the mining market today.

The answer to this is actually very clear. Some of the seasoned miners and facility designers will agree to this... That room is simply too cool.. Condensation is being created where it shouldn't be. This is a prime example of a bad cooling design. This example is on the extreme end. On the lesser end, this is how/why people receive rusted fan guards on their miners after a hosting contract.

We had a batch of 60 S9s sent to one of our facilities brand new from Bitmain. At least 10 of them began to do this after just one month. After a lot of trial and error, it was found to be faulty fans. Bitmain admitted to us that they had some fans with issues causing this. It may be worth a shot swapping out the fans.
On another note, sometimes firmware updates can be iffy. Sometimes when not fully successful, the chip temps or the fan RPMs will not be read correctly. This will cause the miner to continually reboot. Reverting back to an older firmware and running it for 15 minutes can rule this out.
