I haven't attempted recently but last winter I could not find a single hashboard at a half decent price Philip. I'm in the UK, do you have a recommendation?

Someone needs to make a system that can plug one of these 1PH models into new or existing heating/radiator systems. That's the future! Offset your electricity bill with bitcoin mining profits

I would like a single hashboard with these new chips, make a DIY radiator and water cool it, electricity prices in UK are not feasible but as a home/space heater using 300-800watts its a great idea, summer now but it will be winter soon!

did you ever look into doing a battery powered setup where you charge batteries overnight at a lower rate and use them throughout the day? im looking at this for only 3kw max, and in the UK we have cheaper night rates. couple that with some solar during the day, could work out to be a good way to get low overall electricity rates

im attempting to setup ckpool on a vm on a local machine for my gear

i followed this guide:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dAa6PkVN-3o

... pretty simple compared to how i was doing it a couple years ago!

i have just a query regarding syntax for the service which auto starts ckpool on boot...

/etc/systemd/system/ckpool.service:
Code:
ExecStart=/home/ckpool/solobtc/src/ckpool -B

when using solo mode (-B argument) it requires a < -n name/btcaddress > argument...

so this is what i think it should be:

Code:
ExecStart=/home/ckpool/solobtc/src/ckpool -B -L -n "bc1---my btc address---"

is the above correct?

should i add a -k in order to ensure it always starts up if the service is restarted or any other additional arguments, either in ckpool or bitcoind?

before i would use bitcoind wallet address for solo mining - should i use a local bitcoind wallet address? or would my ledger wallet address be ok?

/etc/systemd/system/bitcoind.service:
Code:
ExecStart=/snap/bin/bitcoin-core.daemon -daemon -pid=bitcoin.pid

im waiting for initial block download to complete so cant test yet.

in order to make a confirmation on testnet that my setup is working, what should be changed?

Hello. I am from Eastern Europe. I have been on solo.skpool for over two years. If I switch to eusolo.ckpool, will all my shares be lost? Two years of mining for nothing?

it does reset the stats when you change over to eusolo

Re: [Official Thread] Beagle miner as cute as Snoopy
by

at $120 its not far price wise from a bitaxe gamma which can do about 10-12x the mining speed with existing the gamma consuming about 15-20W which is double the beagle consumption of 9W

have you looked into adding the price/weather display functionality onto an existing bitaxe gamma?

its all open source so probably not hard for you to add a nice 'cute snoopy' case with beagle logo on a gamma, with your extra functionality like weather/bitcoin price/humidity/temp and time, workout some improved cooling solution, upgrade power to a usb-c solution, i could see that working out really well

I dont think 20 minutes would be enough to accurately calculate the miners true avg hashrate, you need 24-48hour+ at a place like antpool

Anyone ever seen someone plum a hydro s19 or similar into the radiator system? Might work? But maybe the radiator water corrodes the heatsink on miner? Or flow on the miner Heatsink is too restrictive?

the reporting of bitcoin for tax also had alot to do with anti-money laundering and criminal investigations into ransomware. easier to catch the criminals if more of the on-ramp/off-ramp is reported and tracked to individuals
