I did see a few posts on Brian Armstrongs twitter when he asked about new coins and Raven was mentioned a few times. Not by him by the way, and also not in a pushey way either like some of the others that were posting.

Just changed my windows client of Ravencoin wallet and thought necessary to share my experience. It is amazingly fast ho quickly blockchain syncs in matter of minutes. I didn't see something this quick before this will be helpful to many people those are coming now or will join later to sync whole chain within shortest possible time.
Nice one thanks. I was still on the first wallet after the Assets were added. I am 14 weeks behind. Estimate was 3 days to sync. The new wallet (I believe with assets indexing disabled by default) is now estimating 73 minutes. That is a bit better. Pays to spend time in the community to pick up these hints. x16r is a selection of 16 mining algo's incorporated into the POW mining algo of RVN.
"The Raven protocol will allow creation of fungible assets which can represent whatever the user wants them to represent (coins, tokens, in game gold, securities tokens, flyer miles, good projects, bad ideas, whatever)". Bruce Fenton.
October 31st is when RIP2/BIP9 consensus voting begins for the asset layer.

What is block time of this shitcoin? I see devs claim 1 minute but actually even if pumped the average block time is 5 minutes. Shittrex indeed found the shittiest one to list again.

Block time: 240 seconds
Difficulty: retargets at every block
Ravencoin incorporated difficulty retarget of 2016 blocks. The time to retarget can differ with network hashrate/difficulty ratio. Because of the entities like nicehash and miningrigrentals this needs adjusting with a hardfork and changes are being considered and tested by the Devs.

For someone with 1000 merit on a forum about Bitcoin and Alt coins its surprising you don't know anything about difficulty adjustment times and network hashrate, and don't have any knowledge about investigating from previous pages. It makes me think you merely have a rock up your backside and taking it out on a coin you don't want to understand and have no stake in. If you don't actually know and asked without the bollocks macho crap we could tell you, but you can easily find the answer from page 130 to 134LOL idiot, I am not going to read whole thread of this trash. I see 1 minute block time in a spec, but it never was even close to it. Broken shitcoin.

I like putting these historic moments in, so we can come back to them in the future.
In Coinmarketcap we hung around the top 380-350 for months.
We started to get higher in the ranks slowly and were stagnant for a while until the API was changed so CMC could update.
Even though we have dropped to 129 today I caught a capture for 116. Nearly at the top 100.
It won't be long until we are stable in the top 100.
Anyone get a better number in the last 24 hours?

Large amounts of hash power came in for a mining rape. Causing the difficulty to go very high.
They left us with a smaller network hashrate and a very high difficulty to get through 2016 blocks before it can adjust again.
If I check now there is 0.18 blocks being mined per minute. That means one block per 5.5 minutes.
The target is 1 per minute.
So you are getting a share of what your pool is mining. If it doesn't get that block after 5 mins it has to try for the next 5mins and so on. Your pool may not get one for a long time.

With every swing getting worse, I don't think they can last until October. My guess is that the next diff lowering will be half of he last, and if we see the same hashing power coming back then we'll see double the diff we have now. Good luck finding miners to work for free with 1 block / 10 minutes.
Imagine if the block reward was only 50 and 25 of those went to a masternode.

To all the pussy noob accounts coming on here whining and bitching about diff changes and going "We wanna fork!". Take it from someone who has been around for a while:
All the decent crypto project have had mistakes or fuckups along the line. What separates a great project from an average one is not how quickly "shit is fixed" but how well it's fixed and rvn currently has some of the best devs in the business.
What a lot of people seem to be upset about is the current norm for several other projects like verge, mona, vertcoin and the smaller ethhash coins that are doing fine.
If you want to do something about it, go break nicehash and mrr don't come on here and whine about "my rig only makes 1$ a day on rvn now, boooh hoo!" some of us mined stuff at a loss for prolonged periods of time and don't give a shit about your current "real issues".

In their defence it would be furking annoying an scary.
..and I agree on how it is handled is how the reputation of the coin will be percieved.

I hope you are all getting ready to mine in a few hours to catch some quick Raven before Nicehash Phuks come in and steal them.
Should be a good drop in Difficulty and while the Hashrate is under 1TH/s you will hopefully get more than usual.
I.e. its had two sessions at 33,661diff and blocks per minute averaged around 0.98 for the first round and 0.38 on this round where it aims to be 1.0.
I'm not sure if the high block rate before these two rounds added to these two low rounds has the coin behind or in front of where it should be.
My guess is behind (don't want to do the math right now) so it will want to catch up - meaning low difficulty.
