You can't get seriously rich from scratch unless the value of Bitcoins goes up to a lot more than $10 per Bitcoin. There are those who have envisaged the BTC as worth 100's in the future, requiring a break-down into useable fractions...it all depends on how widespead will be the uptake of the currency. Also worth note is the fact that BTCs are being lost all the time due to crashes and such likes...the true number of BTC by 2030 should be well less than 21 M. Scarcity increases the value evermore.

I'm confused, 140724>129267  Huh

When your client has downloaded all the blocks you'll be ready to start sending and receiving coins.
That's basically it, I think.

Tongue You gotta be in it, to win it. Looking at the stats on the site, it is those that have been there for several days or weeks that are withdrawing meaningful amounts. Now if you have a few referrals, you could be withdrawing multiple Bitcoins as you get a 'cut' of the winnings every time one of your referred members wins! This is still new, and the point is you have to be 'Bit' more patient and see what you might get. It's only 0.5 BTC chriss'sake! That's worth less than five bucks these days. And I myself was referred by a forum member. Fortune favours the bold...

Bitcoins can be printed on paper, copied, bound, copyrighted, and self-published. One could then tear out pages and transmit them. Shall we outlaw books?
can't machines photo-read now as well??

Please use this referral address to join up to the Randomizer http://rand.bitcat.ch/?ref=128

It's a great idea, all you have to do is transfer 0.5 Bitcoins to them and you get the chance to win random Bitcoins after every new member that signs up! So you could be earning $$$$'s of BTC in no time as there are still only 132 members. What happens is, every time a new member joins and pays their 0.5 Bitcoins joining up fee, most of that amount is re-distributed at random as donations to five other members. Everybody has an equal chance to win, and at this stage, you are bound to get plenty of money due to the low number of members. Plus, you get a cut out of the donations given to anybody you referred to Randomizer as well!...  Cool
