BTC will rise. I think you should hold a major portion and carefully trade altcoins with the rest.

ERC20 POS / POW doubt
by

Hi,

I'm creating a new ERC20 token but I want to make it POS only. I found this tutorial that shows how to create ERC20 token:

https://steemit.com/ethereum/@maxnachamkin/how-to-create-your-own-ethereum-token-in-an-hour-erc20-verified

Is this all I need for a simple ERC20 token or I need add anything in this contract to make it POS?

Thank you in advance.

You can get new coin Bitcoin Private 1:1
and price grow every day
Its very profitable for your cards

Didn't knew about the hardfork. Thanks for the heads up. I'll start mining ZCL Smiley

Mining with 8 GTX 1080ti cards
by

Hi guys,

This is my first mining rig and I need some insight from you guys:
> 8x MSI GTX 1080ti Gaming X
> 8GB RAM
> Biostar TB-250 BTC Pro
> Intel G4400 Skylake Dual-Core
> 8x Molex risers
> WD Green 120GB SSD

To power this, I bought:
2x CoolerMaster V1200 Platinum Power Supply. Will the two V1200 do the job fine or should I get an additional small power supply to separately power up my motherboard and risers?

My electricity price is very less, so it is negligible. It would be great if you guys can help me overclock my card by sharing Afterburner configuration. I'm still confused with that part.

What should I mine to make more profit with my Nvidia cards? I've checked whattomine.com but the value keeps changing. Any stable and specific coin that Ican mine?

I would really appreciate your help. Thank you very much in advance.

Thanks for the feedback guys. So I finally went with these configuration:

> 8x MSI GTX 1080ti Gaming X
> 8GB RAM
> Biostar TB-250 BTC Pro
> Intel G4400 Skylake Dual-Core
> 8x Molex risers
> WD Green 120GB SSD

To power this, I bought:
2x CoolerMaster V1200 Platinum Power Supply

Will the two V1200 do the job fine or should I get an additional small power supply to separately power up my motherboard and risers?
And how much hashrate should I expect?

Thank you very much for all the feedback guys. If 2x850 does the job for 6x 1080ti, will 2000w do the job 8x 1080ti or should I go for 2400w?

Also, how much RAM would I need for the rig of 8x 1080ti? Will 4gb be enough or I need 8gb?

Thanks again.

PSU for 1080ti

Hi guys,

I'm building a mining rig and thanks to this forum, I got lots of help and support from you guys.  Smiley

Right now, I am looking for suggestions on PSU. My rig will have 6x GTX 1080ti cards.
I've found the Antec HCP1300 Platinum 1300W in the market near me. Will a single HCP1300 be enough for the rig? If not, what do you suggest?

Thanks you.

Is it too late to enter mining as ETH is going POS in 2018?

To mine or not to mine

Hi,

I am new to mining and looking for suggestions and appreciate your help. Sorry for being a noob here.

I'm planning to build 8 GPU mining rigs each with 8x Zotac GTX 1070 mini. The electricity cost here is $0.12.

Motherboard: BIOSTAR TB250-BTC PRO 12 PCI
GPU:   8x ZOTAC 1070 mini 8GB DDR5
PSU:   ANTEC 1300 PLATINUM rating
HDD: SSD LITON 64GB
RAM: DDR4 Ram
CPU:   Intel Pentium G4400 Skylake Dual-Core
OS: Windows 10

Each rig is costing me around 5000 USD to setup.

While I was researching, I found about ETH going POS and some scary discussions about not getting enough profit and ROI. Is the future really this scary?
It is a big investment and I would really appreciate some suggestions here. Should I go for it or should I go for Antminer S9 instead of GPU mining?

Thank you very much.

Re: Need help building GTX1070 GPU mining Rig

Thank you for replying. I'm getting the cards at the following price:

a> ZOTAC 1070 8GB DDR5 mini $540
b> ZOTAC 1070 Amp Edition $585
c> ZOTAC 1070 Amp Extreme $615

I'm getting ZOTAC 1070 8GB DDR5 (dual fan) at cheapest. Mini is not available in the market (out of stock) right now.

According to my research on memory chip:
ZOTAC 1070 Amp Edition $585  uses Micron
ZOTAC 1070 Amp Extreme uses Samsung memory
Don't know about the mini edition.

Which card will be worth buying?

Need help building GTX1070 GPU mining Rig
by

Hi,

I'm creating my first mining rig and I have decided to go with Zotac GTX 1070 as Zotac provide 5 years warranty. But since there are so many editions available in the market, I'm confused which one to pick.

I have the following options with me regarding GPU:

a> ZOTAC 1070 8GB DDR5
b> ZOTAC 1070 Amp Edition
c> ZOTAC 1070 Amp Extreme

I plan to mine Ethereum. Please suggest me which of these will be the most efficient comparing the hash rate with power consumption. Which one will be more profitable?
Thank you very much Smiley
