happybitcoinph, you have described exactly why I was able to stop gambling. Too many times, there was plenty of luck and nice gains, but then doesn't seem like the time to stop. I'm happy those experiences are over now.

Re: Bitcoin's strong bullish trend attrack more investors

One of the thing I have is taking what most of this news are stating about Bitcoin price.
It's just speculation, though their analysis may seem so another would dispute said analysis.
So many people never learn the true meaning of Buy Low and Sell High. Push repeat, watch it all happen again!
Wow ,I'm curious how you can really tell low and highs?
Such mindset is what breeds a Nocoiner
Selling when there is more room for growth.

Your mindset misses big chances for even more holdings produced from successful trading. You do not need to ever sell all, but refusing to trade some is not the right way, if you take a look at established historical realities.

Airdrops are getting easier to get this year: The thread title is a bit amusing, what good can actually come from airdrops being even easier? More  scams, endless crappy tokens? How about focusing on developing real skills, before picking up tiny scraps becomes all you are able to do?

I have studied the very first major bull market, and BTC went over 30 times higher (30x +) in a short time. There are limits what can be learned by studying the older past cycles, but there's no reason to ignore them completely.

....
There is a popular saying that power corrupt, but absolute power corrupt absolutely....

An older person taught me that quote a long time ago because they had learned it in school and never forgot. I also never forgot. Power doesn't corrupt all great sports stars (for example), but with political power sadly it seems to be very true.

Being kind to people helps give you good Karma and you get nice rewards in the future. We need more kindness in this community, thank you.

People are celebrated daily, monthly and yearly for reason or the other.
My heart beats and that out of joy to those whose

I was not aware airdrops had turned into something more than the lowest-level social spam giveaways. Thanks for letting me know. Needing to invest real money to qualify for an airdrop seems like a big upgrade, too bad it didn't choose a fresh, new name instead of "Airdrop."

@piebeyb, I will request the thread to be closed asap, thanks.
@Bitbollo, Glad you got it now!   Smiley

Did you recently get a $40 "Russian Bonus" from Stake?
There are many ways that scammers can do online, what happened to you is not a new mode, it's a trick of scammers targeting their victims, they know the Stake.com gambling site which is an easy target for beginners.
Example:
Phishing E-mail Scam - November 2022

You should not do the user suggestion below.
Quote
Do NOT click the link. It seems that they used noreply@stake.com but with a capital I instead of a lowercase l, since on some email web addresses it appears the same. It's a scam email...I've already forwarded it to my VIP host and sent it to stake support. Please notify the entire community. I opened the link on an incognito window and after about 2 minutes it goes to a third party site indirectly before showing you the stake homepage and oddly requiring you to sign in. Also note the messed up grammar in the last line.

Additional information for you.
Fraud Email - Scam

In the future, don't immediately click on the bulging web, check carefully, don't be tempted by an offer of $ 40, it can be dangerous for the laptop or Android that you have.

Yoshi your advice is great in most situations:
1) I was not expecting the email to be real.
2) The Domain is 100% certainly stake.com, so I am communicating with them without a doubt.
3) It was real.  Smiley

update: Looks like I got a lucky freebie, this email came ~2.5 hours later.

"Hi "Blockstock",
The previous email you were sent from Stake was sent in Russian, which was not intended.

Stake is a global company & a lot of communications are localized.

Luckily, the bonus sent in that email is valid for you and only you, so please feel free to claim that bonus.

Rest assured this was sent by us and is a legitimate email. We apologize for the inconvenience and we hope you’re having a great new year."

// Question answered, thank you Stake for being the most generous casino!

My email had a surprise, a very scary looking email all in Russian, except I knew how to read the "$40". It seemed like obvious, dangerous phishing spam, but the "raw data" in the email headers showed it was sent from Stakes legit email address. The link leads to the actual Stake site, and I was already logged in, not needing to give out a password. Very odd, but a real nice little surprise:

Did you recently get a $40 "Russian Bonus" from Stake?

...how can they get experienced if they are already been disqualified for little or no working experience?

Large companies often hire over-qualified people for dull, boring jobs, what do they actually gain by doing that? If you can, learn about smart contracts, and escape the corporate rat race!

Re: An Achilles heel of the Cryptocurrency
by
BlockStock
on 03/01/2023, 22:52:44 UTC
A. Private key (Seed phase)! An Achilles heel of the Cryptocurrency.
Scenario: A Cypto exchange platform has a hot wallet with 1,000 different coins. One day, this platform was attacked because of any possible reasons, and the private for the hot wallet above was stolen. Right at the moment when the exchange’s staff and management team realized a potential fraud that some coins were transferring to a suspicious wallet, they could not stop these activities. This is because there are no such options like changing the wallet private key to stop the transfers or utilize 2-step authentication to avoid these stealing transfers. The best thing they could do to minimize their final lost was to quickly transfer all the remaining coins from that wallet to another one. The faster they acted, the more coins they could save. If they were too slow, the wallet’s balance would be a big zero. Good luck next time! You might have heard and read about many big Crypto exchange platforms experiencing hundred-million-dollar attacks recently. How do you think about this? Is this because those platforms do not have a good security system? I don’t think so. Those big platforms should have many big brains to stop hackers from stealing millions of dollars that easily. Now it’s your turn. Think about this situation and you can find the answer from my sharing above.

The section above shares the title of your rather long post, let's take a quick look here: "Those big platforms should have many big brains to stop hackers from stealing millions of dollars that easily...." Your main point seems to ignore that most of the exchange hacks could be inside jobs designed to steal customer funds

Re: Altcoins Bounty Hunters are almost alone!
by
BlockStock
on 26/01/2020, 15:38:46 UTC
This is sad but true that altcoin bounty hunters are almost alone in this forum! No one is here to help you to find a better project to promote! But look at BTC paying campaign! If a BTC paying campaign launched, many Hero, Legendary member starts investigating hard! When they find anything suspicious they tag the bounty manager and keep suggesting people to not promote project! Even they can't wait even one week! For example, BestChange launched Signature and Social Campaign, I got accepted in Social and received payment, but many high ranked people tagged the manager because he did not go through Escrow! They did not give them even one week. Though Bestcahnge got a couple of red trust because of suspicious activities, I have no problem with that!

But look at the altcoin section, no one is here to support you to find a better project, everyone keeps suggesting research yourself, even if your well researched successful project not paying you, still they won't support you! So, from yesterday, I started thinking that Altcoin bounty hunters are very alone! Some guy is working to catch scammers but no one is here to suggest you a better project!
The basic reason why you think and see altcoin hunters being alone is that, most altcoin projects and bounty campaigns do not really gurantee the listing of their tokens or coins. once there is no listing, the tokens are worthless. Personally, i just wished that a rule will be set on this forum to make project managers to pay hunters in a trading coin. This is because, bounty hunters are providing the project with their services in the form of promoting the project for investors to invest in their projects.  The project teams make huge some of money leaving hunters with nothing.  Having a rule which suggests the amount to pay hunters in relation to their ranks on the forum...

Paying bounty hunters in real money would be a great way for new projects to build a solid reputation. Sadly much of the real money goes to "angels" and CEO's.

Re: Craig Wright claims , today will be the last day for Bitcoins.
by
BlockStock
on 26/01/2020, 00:00:13 UTC
Hey
I have always made a point to stay away from the news related to this self obsessed fake creator of bitcoins , and even if he is the creator I don't think I would see him in a better light.
So he is claiming that bitcoins have a problem with their code (dude which software doesn't?) And that today will be the last day for bitcoins to exist, after this it will Plummet , considering he is trying to reduce the competition for the BSV , the statements are exceptionally hilarious , first of all , if there was any problem with the code trust me , he would have exposed it himself , if he knows the problem , he is not the kind of person to shut up about it .
What do you guys this of this ?

I am a little concerned about being late to the big BTC party, but not related to Craig. The "last day" seems to have passed and BTC is higher now than 3 weeks ago.
