Bitcoin will not need 10 years to exceed gold... It will happen sooner... much much faster
I believe that will happen, because bitcoin is a small asset with a total supply, while gold is an asset that has a very large supply in this world
And to store Billions of $ in Bitcoin you don't need a very big room and security etc like for Gold at the same value.

bitcoin will surpass gold if the price is very stable, when people have used bitcoin as a daily currency, but of course gold still exists in the future, for storing value as well as jewelry
For me bitcoin is much more important than gold because gold is just jewelry but bitcoin is surely the best investment, it will get better day by day, but gold has no important now in this era that it has been having in old ages, lets see when bitcoin removes the name of gold form best investment list but I am sure it will happen very soon.I am sure Bitcoin will surpass gold one day. Since bitcoin is a currency its use is much more than gold. People use gold more often as a store of value and price of Gold is also stable. On the other hand, bitcoin price is very much volatile which also attracts the whales and traders to get good profit from its movement.
When the price of BTC will rise above price level that it will become to expansive for people to buy just 1BTC it will become the next storage of value. But we all have to know that until all or more governments don't recognize BTC as a valid currency it will be hard.

After humanity starts to move mining into Space gold will lose his value (or stay at current) as it will not be as valuable as before. Reason: In space you can find tons of gold and you don't even need to go into Deep Space... The moon has tons of Gold so supply will not drop only rise, but Bitcoin will never go above 21 Million supply Cap!

More and more are some traders setting new dump level for BTC at $1k in 2019. Who knows maybe they are right but even if this happens we have to know that crypto/blockchain is not yet a mainstream technology so there is alot of room for price correction.
We have to know that currently the number of people that use cryptos is very very very small and with the Binance gaining great reputation it price can not only reach 30$ but could even go beyond 100$ in next years.
