Re: Will Bitcoin ever exist in currency notes?

Coincidently, I've read an article about half a month ago, it said you can now buy Bitcoin at some grocery stores in the US. Bitcoin ATM company Coinme is partnering with coins-to-cash converter Coinstar to allow bitcoin purchases through Coinstar kiosks. The kiosks will only accept U.S. dollar bills, with a $2,500 limit. To purchase bitcoin, users would have to input their phone number to the kiosk and insert their paper bills. They would then receive a code, which the customer would be able to use to redeem bitcoin by creating a Coinme account online.

Re: Bitcoin as a better store of value than gold
by

However, I read an article a few days ago, contrarily, the article's conclusion said "the physical physical store of value is still earning its name as a safe haven asset while the digital alternative has yet to be able to", because gold was still correlated with the VIX but BTC was inversely correlated.

Re: is this the right time to explain about bitcoin to others..?
by
Blocktopian88
on 26/01/2019, 14:35:44 UTC
Half to half. The good half is now it's good time to explain that Bitcoin is just one of goods. At previus time, many people came to crypto space for making a quick buck. But we all know that it's impossible you can always win in market. The bad half is as what you say, someone maybe think the market is speculative, regard it as scam, so its price down now and for a long time.

Re: Please DON'T pay any taxes on your crypto!
by

Are you kidding? I don't think what you said was smart, actually, if this action really happens, government might ban cryptocurrency more strictly, it's not good for crypto's development. Otherwise, cryptocurrencies are asked to pay taxes, personally speaking, it means government's admission for it.

I don't think so. The essence of Bitcoin or any store of value, is interests. Most people pay attention to Bitcoin because they want to make a quick buck, as for its ture value and meaning, they don't care. Once devide of interests happening, there will be mess only but not love.

Wow, I just can't believe it at first, because China had ICOs. But think it carefully, there are a number of investors paying close attention to crypto space. With provision for China's attitude and condition, I will wait for some time to make sure this.

Personally, I will remain neutral, because I'm just observing the whole thing about crypto space at present. The only thing I believe is time will tell, but I don't think bitcoin will perish in short time.

It's hard to say if speculations are without limits, but too many speculations happening the cryptocurrency space is for sure. And I agree with what you said, it has negative impact on the market, price is overvalued and hyped, the true development in technology field is obstructed.

Never. The money used for buying the dip in my opinion should come from your redundant savings but not out of your ability. I don't think it's a good idea that buy the dip by opening a loan.

Re: The market is recovering or just adjusting to the price . news
by

I suppose may be both, because everything is like a wave, up and down, this is for recovering. Besides, the price of Bitcoin in late 2017 was hyped too much, it deserves an adjustment.

Re: Why So Bloody Hard to Buy Crypto?
by
Blocktopian88

I have learned that "the bitcoin blockchain is maintained by the Bitcoin Core team. But in fact, many changes are preceded by intense negotiations and debates both on and offline. Only once consensus is reached is it then implemented. It’s one example of how the development process can be centralized and inherently political, in that it requires an incredibly specialized knowledge (and a lot of social capital) to even participate in such debates". So what occurs to me is it requires specialized knowledge too.

I agree with you, most people noticed Bitcoin if for making a quick buck. But ant investment asks wisdom I suppose, cash out won't work for long time. There is a book written by Li Xiaolai, some of his ideas is like yours.

Re: There will be no "Development" of the Cryptoindustry for now, here is why:

I agree with someone said in comment,"Bitcoin developers care less about the price than you think they do". What's more, for the whole industry, there will be other developments more than price happening, such as launching ETFs, though it's difficult, and different in various countries.

As far as I'm concerned, I don't have too much confidence in it, not only for BTC but also other cryptocurrency, because both me and them are newbie. At present I'm willing to wait for longer time, let time tell what it is and what it will be.

Re: With a booming on 2017 and difficult time on 2018, will Bitcoin recover on 2019?
by
Blocktopian88
on 06/01/2019, 06:06:28 UTC
Welcome to 2019 now. To be honest, I dare not to say it will recover on 2019, but what's for sure is it will be different in 2019. Because I find that many people who work in the industry believe in 2019 the market will make some essential progress. Which is, investors and developers will aim at technology but not only price, technology is more valuable than price.
