Sphere by Horizen (Beta) is Here!

Horizen’s Initial Open Beta Release Includes:

    * A wallet component for full client, lite client, web, paper
         - It is deterministic and can be restored using a seed phrase
    * Runs on desktop
    * Secure messaging component
    * Ability to run a full node

https://blog.zencash.com/sphere-by-horizen-beta-is-here/

Any chance it comes to mobile / Android? After all a private message app is more useless in the hands of the users. Aka Mobile phones... Hood work team!

One project I'm really excited about! I should probably start promoting it more. It's an amazing project that offers what I think nis the logical evolution after smart contracts. Which is the ability to interconnect blockchains

Next BIG ICO? None. Why risk when the market is trading at a discount. We have real projects that are less risky than blindly investing in ICOs.
The only reason to invest in ICOs is to donate your money to support your favorite projects. Don't expect big returns.

Too much hype following EOS. Hope Dan Latimer doesn't pull a Dan Latimer :-) I think it's a truly strong alternative to ETH for real.

If ETH I'd sell and buy EOS or XLM.
Why: because eth is losing market share. And EOS and XLM are getting known as viable alternatives.

pundix can definitely recover quickly, because they have a product that is real and directly related to the community to fulfill their needs or crypto transactions. therefore if the product is actively used, recovery and increase will occur in the pundix.

The challenge is that they need to amp up their distribution, which they doing. As long as they have those POS terminals into stores ppl will use them. At that point their success just depends on how many stores they can get their terminal into. It is looking good.

Whatever Square's marketcap is... $25.Bln well, that's the potential of NPXS. It has a looooong way to go. But they are doing all the right things.

It will fall more down may be it can hit again 2 usd , but this will not be the lowest i guess as more and more people have been involved in crypto and they have seen a winning chance here so wait for the right opportunity.

Reminds me of the coin base flash crash last week. It hit $13.

ETH is not too far away from $80 and if market goes through another selloff, it will go there. Anyway, not much downside left after the big decline so far.

Probably $50. Eth is no longer the only kid in town who can handle smart contracts so their value proposition is no longer unique.  XLM and EOS are gunning for it.

Anyone know Afin ( Asian Fintech ) Wallet ? this wallet is like a credit card and this price is $60. Is this wallet safe enough like ledger nano or another hardware wallet ? Can anyone give me some video how to use it ?

No but I like the concept though. It looks like the Afin company is also a mining farm...

Im always observing the cryptomarket conditions since I learn about bitcoin wayback in 2016 and from this year and I saw how the price of bitcoin slowly climbing the price and reaching its ath last Dec 2017, I never imagine that the value of btc will dive very fast this year I know its very frustrating to all crypto holders including me but I just hope it will also recover fast in the nearest time.

These fluctuations are how money is made. If we can go down we can go up. So there is an opportunity. At this time instead of worrying we should look at under valued projects that we like and invest.

It hasn’t been long that we saw the last bull, that’s like thirteen or fourteen months now, so you shouldn’t be expecting another bull run to take place so quickly. It is going to take time before we see another bull run take place.
But we cannot say that how long it will require for another bull run, it may start by next week also but we can be sure about some big change and big relief before end of 2019. So, do not need to make any sudden decisions as it may lead to unexpected losses by missing out the opportunities and also holding will not harm if you have invested only your excess money. There will be no need to be frustrated at this moment.

have patience, or withdraw to save yourself from further loss till there start to increase in the price and you can invest back. But if you keep expecting it now, it would be waste of time.
This is the first time, I am seeing such a suggestion but I am not ready to accept this. Instead of waiting or being frustrated, it would be much better to keep buying at every dips. It will help you to have big returns once bulls get into action. Just believe into cryptos and act accordingly.

Well said. The gains will be back sooner than later. It's a long game. Just buy the dip.

Honestly. this is from a gentle soul that believed and hope the crypto market will get better. I must be hedonistic regards this CRYPTO of a thing. the fact is that we have witness huge Reds Colors in the Market More than the Greens Signs. these days we do have long days of Red trends more than the green trends. it is getting frustrating. i wonder if there could be crypto addicts. Even if we are not expecting the green days so Quick. Let their be BALANCE in this market.
Else we might wake up one day and Move back to square One.
Imagine Loosing out 7.5 billions USD over night. it quite outrageous.

It happens - inflation high Venezuela and they lost their purchasing power. Imagine if you had saved $100000 and the next day you wake up it's worth $1.
Or Argentina where they lost 60% of their purchasing power in 1 year. It's dangerous out there. Not just in crypto land.

Re: Do you think that crypto exchanges are dead?
by
Blongen
on 12/12/2018, 01:49:04 UTC
Is cryptocurrency dead? As long as cryptocurrencies exist, there will always be platforms to exchange/trade crypto. If you’re referring to start-ups exchanges, they may be facing serious challenges which maybe threatening to their existence. One of the problems the cryptospace is facing is copy and paste and repetition of projects with different names, innovation and creativity is fading out in the space.

Exchanges are not dead. But there are just so many of them popping up and with no real value added. No real marketing and community buy-in. Ppl are still trading obviously so exchanges can't be dead.
Let us compare the older cryptocurrency exchange platforms like (Coinbase, Bitfinex, Bitmex, Kraken, Gemini, Poloniex, Bittrex, Gate.io, and Huobi) to the new ones like (Bitforex, Indodax, Coinbe , Hotbit , DigiFinex). Why are the new crypto exchange platforms struggling to hit the lime light?. Binance is about a year old and has made much impact in the cryptospace, why can’t other cryptocurrency exchange start-ups follow suit?

1. Lack of funds
2. The market has already been saturated
3. No original ideas

The big exchange platforms are gaining more grounds everywhere, this making the space more competitive. Nevertheless, some start-ups are really making much sense and are impacting immensely to the blockchain and cryptocurrency space. For any startup to pave through the crowd, it's idea and technology must be very solid.

One of the start-ups to look out for is BLOCKCHAIN BOARD OF DERIVATIVES, the platform combines both centralized and decentralized features of Blockchain to stay aloof the crowd in the space. This is a all-in-one trading platform, that is going to be welcomed when it is launched.

At BBOD users control the destiny of their own funds. BBOD runs a non-custodial smart contract wallet system where all account balances are held by a decentralised smart contract on the Ethereum blockchain. Centralised entities are too often hacked, BBOD adopts hybrid approach to decentralised safety combined with a centralised trading engine ensures the security of your funds whilst maintaining blazing fast transactions speeds, thereby giving the platform an edge over other exchange start-ups.

This is not the only Crypto exchange that is making impact, there are several others who make making the revolution worthwhile, so Crypto exchanges are far from dead.

Cat food.  I'd really like to be able to buy wet cat food in bulk.  If there's a place that takes bitcoin where I can buy some, I'm all ears.
How about purse.io? Never tried this site before but they recommend this as an alternative for Amazon that you can buy anything you want with bitcoin just make sure that the product you are looking for is listed on Amazon and it should be in stock.

The good thing using purse.io you can get discount up to 33% according to their article from here https://blog.purse.io/shopping-on-purse-101-389400facdfc

Also, don't forget our forum we also have a place where you can buy a physical product like ASICminer, GPU, and whole PC from here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=75.0

Have you tried to use purse.io? I use their search engine and tried this term "wet cat food" and it shows list of cat foods including the item you are looking for.

Purse.io takes BCH only or does it also take btc?

Just a curiosity question really. Well, a 2-part question:

1) I see a ton of "merchandise" on Bitcointalk, Bitify and maybe even one more, but it seems like it's all software codes, prepaid cards, subscription services (HULU for 1 year, Spotify for 1 year, the list goes on here) - I've actually tried listing in both several times with no success with items I thought would have been fairly good sellers, such as: iWatch, brand new motorcycle helmets priced dirt cheap, digital cameras), and a few other items I thought would be big seller. Why are people not jumping on huge deals here?

2) What ARE the items that MOST people are HOPING will be added to marketplaces by more sellers? Seems like again, all you see are prepaid services, subscriptions, etc..

Or is this ALL due to lack of adoption, therefore a LOT less of the planet knows how to buy/use BTC, therefore, anyone selling has a much smaller buyer pool for their products? Any insight or helpful knowledge would be greatly appreciate.

Thank you!

I have bought a plane ticket with dash, domain names and hosting with btc. For the airfare I used cheapair.com and for the domain name and hosting namecheap.
I hope to be able to buy groceries with btc one day.

It is the matter of seconds to recover market. In addition to ETF approval, XRP regularization with bank would be helpful to recover XRP market, that would be helping whole crypto currency market. Everyone is waiting for the market to recover. May be next year would be the year of crypto currency.
XRP is shit and just being backed by bankers and I don't know why this had been listed out on the market. We do know the true essence of decentralization but well
those banksters do really have that power if they wanted too so I'm aint really surprised on whats happening.Just looking on its entire supply I don't see a reason for it
to be placed 2nd or 3rd on the overall.

When talking about recovery then its a guaranteed thing but the question is on when?

Pragmatically speaking XRP has the best use case and will most likely reach mass adoption before btc.
