Re: Would you sell your ETH to buy BTC right now?
by

No, I wouldn't sell ETH fot BTC, I believe in its future. Besides you never know what will happen next in this sphere, so just splitting your assets is a better solution

I totally agree with it. ETH and BTC are quite solid right now so having both assets is a good thing.

Re: What to do when prices are falling
by

Hello. I have a folio of BTC, ETH, NEO and some alts. I've been watching at Bitcoin since 2015 but bought only at this summer (and the last move was quite bad, I bought some BTC for $4600). I try to study, watch vids, read forum and twitters. Chris Dunn has a vid on the topic but nothing really specific. I'm interested in some ideas about what to do when prices are falling.  Sell alts and hold bitcoin? Short? (and if yes, so the next question is how to learn how to short?).

I think BTC is right now the ground truth asset, the rest are orbiting around. Rising altcoins and converting them to BTC is a sure movement right now, your gains will be low but consistent.

Re: The dream of getting rich with bitcoins
by

on 02/11/2017, 09:33:25 UTC
Maybe not to get rich, but sure as hell to earn a decent amount of money with bitcoins.

How much money did you earn with bitcoins? Or did you lose some?

I agree with most people on this thread, getting rich with altcoins is extremely difficult, as you have to be very lucky with an emerging investment. Paying your monthly bills is quite reasonable though, this will not make you rich but it will surely contribute to improve your wealth status at the end of the year.

After the events of last week.

I was making this suggestion to some folks yesterday, but they claimed that bitcoin is too small.  Does it matter?

Right now it is.

Re: Is Master Degree Important?

Do you think that master degree is important? I see that many companies nowadays ask for a master degree but still I know many people who had a job without it. Do you think it is essential?

What is essential is what you have inside your head. New knowledge economy does not rely on degrees (although it can help to get a good starting position), but it is not essential.

Re: Bitcoin to be Taxed......
by

This is interesting could be a mass following with this. South Korea is preparing to Tax bitcoin use after the cryptocurrency's trading volume sky-rocked. This could spark a new trend s everyone battels to see how to control the life of cryptocurrency's

I don't like the idea that bitcoin will be taxed. I mean bitcoin has a high value so, if it were to be taxed, I believe the tax will be huge. So, what will happen to those people like me that considers bitcoin their only source of income. So, this is a big NO for me.

Unless a global revolution beyond actual state-economy binome happens, Bitcoin will end being taxed as states will need to control it to allow it to exist.

How do you deal with people just googling the knowledge?

The knowledge that witcoin promotes, is the one that moves, the one that passes from one user to another. Your WIT, or registered knowledge, will be rewarded only if it is used by another user to create new knowledge or if he considers that your knowledge has inspired him/her (he will cite you when he/she registers the new knowledge). Registering knowledge just by googling it does not give any reward, because nobody will use it, nobody will "move" it (you will not get any cite) as it is already available by other means in the net. Registering knowledge needs you to spend witcoins so if you register known knowledge not genuine you will be just wasting your money.

Definitely no, if you want to make money pick others, more solid bids but if you want to retire I think you should focus on Bitcoin.

Democracy also has a lot of disadvantages but they all fade away comparing to the greatest thing democracy brings - freedom.
Democracy doesn't bring freedom. Especially if you're in the minority.

Agree with that, recent conflicts around the world and specially in the EU confirm it

Re: Bitcoin has Arrived in Thailand.....

Bitcoin is welcome in Thailand...

Thailand has had Bitcoin in place for some time and I see the government is preparing for the future and how to en brass Bitcoin. It is not unusual to see a " We accept Bitcoin " In all type of stores.

This is really great for Thai People and the Tourists that visit......
Yes its true [Suspicious link removed]ived to Thailand because bitcoin has already accepted in some develop countries and slowly slowly it’s going to transfer in some other countries because bitcoin provide a lot of good and use full services in these countries such as a credit card and also you can buy online things and bitcoin is playing a big role in under develop countries in their economy.

I think Bitcoin, because it has been the first, but crypto currencies en general will transform societys as we know them today.

Re: Can Bitcoin End World Poverty?
by
Blue Think
on 19/10/2017, 11:50:40 UTC
Any altcoin, if managed properly and fairly could greatly help world's wealth redistribution. At the end, it a matter of value and trust. Giving value to digital tokens because we all agree that they have value directly go against traditional economy market, where the power decides what has value and what doesn't. The net offers us the possibility of changing it, overcoming national barriers and its constrains, but we all have to agree on that and act fairly if we want it to stablish it permanently.

Hey,

cryptocoinews, coindesk, cointelegrap but if you get used to Bitcointalk forum and know how not to get lost inside, this place is the best one, not only for the announcements but for the discussions carried out inside them, they help you to discard speculation or at least minimize it.

Its good to see these advisors involved,  I was in a meeting yesterday in Barcelona with a team member and the discussion was groundbreaking. Knowledge sharing and open innovation promotion while making fast profit from it, sounds good!
