Just need to understand that in my country also the person do sell directly from the bees. So is it anything different or does Australia have something specific which may not be available in different countries or is it same. Like from medical perspective or bees species etc? If its same sort than probably who will pay international shipping ordering it.
All honey is not equal my friend. Let's put money aside for a moment.
The honey from mega Corp is often honey taken from bees that were used to pollinate a crop contracted out via mega Corp. In Serbia I should imagine you have one or two big chains that sell honey.
This creates a mono culture for the bees who are both battling the insecticides used to keep the fruit from being bitten by bugs and hoppers AND the some non mixed food source I.e pumpkins or soy or nuts or whatever.
Honey is basically a medicine that the ancient Egyptians prescribed for nearly 500 or more ailments. Google the god Ra and bees if you like.
The bees take the basic most purest form of plant extract and then naturally synthesise a perfect preservative, sweetener, pre-biotic, anti bacterial anti fungal and on I could go.
Now in New Zealand they have Manuka honey but it's a real cat fight over the flowers and sales etc. In Australia we are huger than New Zealand and we have at least 5 native plants that do the same as Manuka. Leptospermum .
We also have massive eucalyptus forest, acacia, melaleuca, tea tree (like tea tree oil tea tree), box gum, white gum, red gum, a lot of euphorbia species (Latin feel good), and several thousand other plant species unique to Australia. For example the Black Boy grass tree.
You can get hallucinogenic honey from some parts of South America BECAUSE they ate the particular plant species.
In fact people extract honey from caves and all sorts of weird stuff.
Peace.
