I think that incredible things are coming in Q1 2018. My original predictions earlier in this thread have continued to be surpassed as I've been tracking this project for the past 3+ months. With the uptrend continuing to accelerate over every time frame (1wk/1mo/3mo/1yr), I have said elsewhere that I now think it's possible to see $30-50 within the next six weeks. First working prototype in this niche ahead of Storj, Filecoin, Substratum, and all the other higher cap coins in the same niche is a big deal and Shift's marketing has barely even begun. Shift actually is a broader project than the others because it's an entire dApp platform combined all in one with the Phantom decentralized web hosting tech. Even $100+ is possible in the next several months IMO.
I'm not going to sell and will keep watching to see how far this goes in the coming months especially. Based on how 2017 is finishing, it looks like we're gearing up for a hell of a ride soon.

When Shift team will release the new website on the Phantom testnet I expect at least a price of $15, that would put Shift near $180 million market cap.

I wanted to get this coin at the 1 dollar mark when it dropped but didn't. Does anyone here think this coin could drop to say 3 dollars? Its already 5 dollars at the moment. Also what caught my attention was this coin had a low market cap which is a good sign this coin would go higher in price right?

seems like $5 is on the way - Shift wants to decentralize the internet and they have started their mission by creating a DApp called Phantom and a DApp SDK tool which will both be released this September. The Phantom release has been much anticipated for by the Shift community and represents a milestone in the development and recognition of the coin. It will allow users to store files on the decentralized internet using the IPFS protocol. The Dapp SDK tool will allow developers to build decentralized applications on the shift blockchain, thus drastically increasing the value of the coin.
- Unlike Ethereum, Shift is written in JavaScript, a language familiar to most web developers, together with an easy to use Graphical User Interface (GUI), Phantom can be easily adopted by the vast majority of web developers.
- Shift uses a decentralized Proof of Stake system to mine the blocks, for a detailed description on the difference between dPoW and dPoS systems I would advise hitting up Wikipedia or a good explanation on youtube. The most important thing to remember is that dPoS is the better environmental option as it requires less energy for blocks to be forged. As energy will become more expensive in the future, dPoS systems ensure that the Shift code is future proof.
- Lisk, Shifts closest resembling competitor, currently stands at a market cap of 681 USD million, whilst Shift stands at market cap of 17 milion USD. Thats a whopping x40 return of investment (ROI) if shift hits that same market cap!
- On top of the website release in september, Shift will drop their new whitepaper, roadmap, SDK tool and will release Phantom at the end of Q3 and Q4 of 2017. So you could say they got a lot coming for the 4th quarter of 2017!
- On top of all the updates Shift is releasing, they will also commence with their marketing plan. Now let me remind you that Shift has never performed any marketing prior to the Phantom release yet because they have been working non-stop on the technology. This gives Shift the underdog position, and makes it possible to get a x10, x20, x40 ROI once Shift attracts new possible investors.
As of now, the tech is done, the marketing plan is written, the marketing funds are in and Shift is ready to shoot through the roof! So pile up on that shift now, because once Phantom drops and their marketing gets going, you will never see Shift at $1.50 again!

I like how you just blatantly copy pasted the text from the article which I posted a few months back. It is good to have this thread on bitcointalk as it benefits the shift community as a whole. I'm anxious to find out what 2018 will hold for us Shift hodlers. If you've been holding Shift for over 6 months like I have, you've been through the mud too. Shift is, and has always been, one of the most promising crypto projects and with the releases of Phantom, Jenga, the new website, new whitepaper, new roadmap AND marketing video explaining the importance of Shift and the blockchain as a whole I can't imagine it not mooning!
The marketing move to release their new website built on Phantom, their flagship dApp, is a pure stroke of genius. Remember that these developpers have always been drawn to the techy side and have never hyped any new releases. This is the first time a marketing campaign will be held for Shift, and it comes with all these new releases mentionned above. I'm telling you guys. The release of the marketing video will have a tremendous impact on Shift. You might look at the graph now and say : "Oh Shift is rather high right now.. maybe I better wait..", but this might be the worse move you ever make. A project that has been under the radar for so long will finally emerge and take the place that it deserves. A top 10 coin in 2018.
A similar thing happened/is happening to BitBay right now. The project had been undervalued for a long time, but after the proper marketing, BitBay has had a X4 ROI over a few week. The interest is still gaining. I speculate the same thing wil happen to Shift in Q1 of 2018.
