Been testing this out and it works very nicely! Is there any way you could have it also monitor the running total / paid out total?

I was also still wondering how your comparison is going?

I have a 3x1070 Rig. I've run 3 instances of MegaMiner one for each card, pointing to Ahashpool, Zpool and HashRefinery

From this morning, this is what I have until now:

Are you continuing your comparison? It is super useful! As a small miner the payout frequency is very low on ahp so I mine on zpool with LTC payout. Understanding the difference is helpful,as need to evaluate also if BTC fees would remove difference.

Quick question on X17. I am running on reduced intensity or my weaker card crashes (I have 1060+1030 I had lying around). I was running on 19 but increased to 20. Increasing it seems to have dropped my power usage on 1060 to only 60% (80 target) and it is using 20W fewer. Hashrate seems similar. Anyone have any ideas why a higher intensity gives lower power use?

Nemos, do you have ps files for 9 series cards or any recommendations will do? I've got a 960 lying around. Perhaps I can use it together with my 1070.
If the mining won’t run on 960 you can reduce intensity. Do this by going in to the various miner .ps1 files. Alexisminer for example has several algos where you can reduce it. You will see -i 21, reduce this to 19 or so. Should work on 960.

If you want to avoid reduced intensity on 1070 also then run two separate nemosminer, one for the 1070, then in another folder one for the 960.

Hi minerx117, great solution for small miners like myself! I had a bunch of ideas / questions...

I was wondering, would it be possible to implement accommodation for power costs? This could use same api stats for bitcoin value in chosen currency, and a text file with power usage completed by user - maybe pre-populated by values for 1060?

Another issue I have is I have some older less powerful cards which I needed to reduce intensity in the ps files to get to work. Unfortunately xevan and blake2s (I think) don’t have this option and don’t work. It also benchmarks for ever within it the miner starting and doesn’t seem to fail out (is there a time limit?).

If we change to a new miner that doesn’t support older cards can I edit the scripts to prefer a different miner from an older version?

It made me wonder, how hard is it to implement a wizard for first startup that could do this automatically if someone is running a card below 1060? Ie switch to a “low intensity” set of ps files and exclude the problem algos?

Thank you all for the tips. Sounds like mining to exchange address may be easiest; however, I guess they have minimum transfers to avoid this?

I had been using NiceHash to test out, so mining to BTC. Now using zpool. After next payout I will see what it costs / use a tx accelerator and then maybe switch.

I am UK based

Reduce high transaction fee for small miner
by

Hi All, as a small scale miner I am finding the transaction fees to transfer my bitcoins from my wallet extremely high (over 10-15%). I understand this is because it consists of many small transfers in. Does anyone have any recommendations to help avoid this? I had read it may be possible to mine to an exchange address (though this is inadvisable normally...) and then transfer out in chunks to own wallet. Any advice is much appreciated.

I just place a shortcut to my start.bat in my Windows Startup folder.

Alternatively use Windows Task Scheduler to start you "start.bat" file on log-in.
That's the odd thing, running it from startup folder doesn't work because it tries to run the script in windows directory. Changing the path in the bat doesn't fix this. Haven't tried running it as a task, hopefully that will fix it (though the AHK method works). Edit: just tried as scheduled task, same problem. Throws an error when it runs.

Do you try double-click on your ahk script for test first ? Don't forget to change start.bat way in the script.
For me is good with double-click on my ahk script.

Immediatly you see yellow text to try import api pool stat. But you didn't see the white text of your bat.

-In the script you just pasted, don't forget to modify with the full way:
"&.\Users\JohnDoe\Desktop\NemosMiner-v2.2.2-master\NemosMiner-v2.3.ps1 to "&C:\Users\JohnDoe\Desktop\NemosMiner-v2.2.2-master\NemosMiner-v2.3.ps1

Nothing happens, even with directory correct. Does anyone else have suggestions on how to make the miner start on boot? EDIT: FIXED IT! Forgot to put a new line in...

I think it is possible to put the bat directly in start folder setup, but you must to change the start.bat way.
If I try I say you  Wink
For me the AHK script doesn't seem to work Sad

TO START NEMOSMINER WHEN YOUR RIG RESTART OR BOOT

Hello everybody, I am a french boy, I am a noob on bitcointalk   Smiley, I started mining with my 2 friends a few months ago. I think your work is great minerx117 and we all encourage you!

I don't know if it can bring anything but sometimes my mining rig crash. When it restarts it does not restart the software, maybe there is a function to restart it but I don't know.
I find/wrote a little script with Autohotkey to restart the machine. The script works very well when I double-click on it. At the restart it is starting well but I haven't yet had the opportunity to see that it connects correctly to Zpool because Zpool doesn't work very well this morning. I think the script is operational:

I am trying to figure out how to do this without using autohotkey. Should it not be possible to change the bat so powershell operates in the right directory already?

Running on startup?
by

Hi all, I am attempting to run the miner on boot; however, if I place a shortcut in the startup folder the bat runs as if it is located in the wrong directory. This is despite me setting the "start in" location as the correct one. Is anyone able to clarify how I need to edit to ensure it can run on startup? Thank you
